Chetas81:To you, this only benefits the importers, right? Have you ever thought of a situation where an importer pays in ten different agencies at different times on the same consignment which also comes with different levels of bureaucracies and corruption. And a situation where everything is processed at a single point and all statutory charges are paid at one point. Remember that all this charges are added to the cost and passed down to the consumers. Which one do you think brings down the price of such goods? Think deeply and supply answers. But a bit still makes no sense to you, then I cannot help you. |
This man knows how and what he pays his personal assistants. That's why he is charging them to go and make an impact in their community. The governor cannot be paying you heavily with the hope that it will be rubbing off positively in your communities and then you get your community and tell them the governor is only paying you stipend and has not done anything. |
Offpoint1:Some people are simply clueless! I need you to come up with details and proofs of a state you know in this country under this PBAT administration where a teacher earns 30k and a doctor earns 200k in a state or federal school or healthcare facility. Do I call this sabotage, hatred or stupidity? Reply and quote me here if you have proof and I will join you to call out the governor of the state together. But if you have no proof and you come here to display your ignorance, sorry for your enemy. |
Na wa for people o. Why is it that of all the comments here, I've not seen anyone asking relevant questions. All I see is people jumping on the thread to say it's sham, it's deception, it's APC this, APC that! Is it that the hospital was not equipped? Does the hospital has doctors, nurses and other relevant crop of workers employed to work in the hospital to earn a living? Is it that all Kaduna residents are so healthy that they all abandoned the hospital because they don't need it? Or are the people angry that Namadi who initiated the construction of the hospital did not complete it? Or are they angry that Gov. Uba Sanni decided to complete a hospital abandoned or left uncompleted by the last administration? Does the hospital have a management board and they're non existent, but get paid for doing nothing at the end of every month even with the allocation for maintenance of the hospital? Is Kaduna state health service commission providing it's constitutional supervisory role as expected? Abandoning a hospital I think goes beyond politics because this is a people oriented critical infrastructure and it's for the use of the residents. Until all the above questions are answered truthfully and pictures added to back up this claim, then this thread is a joke! And I don't want to say what I think of the op who posted this. |
seunmsg:Why do you bother wasting your time to respond to the ingrate. GEJ conceived the idea, where is the project? Completed or abandoned? Is it in use today? They should list out all the projects their GEJ started and completed in his 6 year reign. In fact, Tinubu should complete this project and name it Bola Ahmed Tinubu Centenary City! No wonder Jagaban treats all these haters of good things like they don't exist. He has no time for them. He already knows that even if he kills himself for them, they would still complain. He just does what is best for the country. All of them will be grateful to PBAT at the end of his 8 year tenure. |
I'm disappointed in Taribo for this outburst! For crying out loud, these people rendered paid services as consultants to Nigeria. They were not based here, neither were they permanent employees of Nigeria as a country. They were foreign based players earning heavily and always in their different clubs, only coming around on invitation during tournaments and and I'm sure they would have declined if they were told they were coming to play for free. Why was Taribo west not calling out or blasting the clubs he played for? He retired from professional football in year 2000 and even declined an offer to serve as coach for Nigerian goalkeepers (for which he would also be paid). when he fell sick more than twenty years later, Nigeria should cater to him! Was Taribo listening to himself when he was talking at all? If he asks his son to not play for Nigeria, it's his loss because the remuneration has even drastically upgraded. You people earn heavily as professionals. If you misuse your earnings and fail to invest wisely and save for the rainy day, how does that concern the government. Someone like him shouldn't be facing such challenges. When they're doing very well and we say, help people, build people, they would say "no, people won't appreciate, they're not from the same tribe, " even his own friends/families!!! If he had built and helped some people/friends come out of poverty, those people he helped would have come through for him in his dying days!! This is a wake up call to everyone doing well financially and professionally. All of us are going to grow old and we will always need people. Only those you lift up will remember you. If you fail to lift others, when the time comes, you'll be so sorry. Peace! |
This is a welcome development. And it should be replicated in all the states of Nigeria. As a matter of fact, the law should be made at the National assembly. These people rip parents of too much and that is pure greed. How on earth would one buy a textbook for an elementary school pupil, costing #5 to #10k on many subjects and they all expire in just one academic session . The younger ones cannot even use the same textbooks used by them. It is rubbish! Someone should pls tag the minister of education and the Senate president on Twitter. We want this stopped! |
adioolayi:Well said bro, initially, any slight thing, all of them have shut down, creating artificial scarcity and panic everywhere. It's either they tell us landing cost suddenly went up, increase in exchange rate, government not paying them on time, rising cost of fuel in international market, fuel being diverted to neighbouring countries by saboteurs, war breaking out in an unrelated country bla bla bla. I'm sure, we would have even experienced serious intermittent scarcity as a result of Russia and Ukraine war if subsidy hadn't been removed! Let the competition and market forces continue to drive the price, everyone will adjust. Today you can leave your home with just 10litres of fuel in your car with the believe that you can always drive into the nearest filling station to fill your tank. This is commendable! |
Mickey02:I think you should go with the option of serving wherever you're posted. You already know what's obtainable in your home state and you know what you're capable of achieving there. However, going out of your region and comfort zone gives you some experience you might miss out on if you're home. Even if you have to come back to your home state after your service, go out there, get the experience, and who knows, you might end up learning something very valuable that will turn your life around while serving. The home advantage will always be home waiting for you. This is my own suggestion tho, seek further guidance for validation or diverse opinion before you take a decision. All the best! |
ediko5:You need not tell the guy he's shallow minded! Not everyone actually knows that some challenges could be opportunities in disguise many times. Tho, the ability to look around, look inwards and look beyond most times is the reason some are still not making headway. But one just needs to expose them to these opportunities which they might not even be thinking about...and some of them actually have the potential to do very well in their respective field and in those jobs which they thought could not get them anywhere. As a teacher in Nigeria today, if you are very good and know how to go about marketing yourself, exploring the power of social media and AI, you will make good money! |
Kutunban:Lies! Remember, SE is a sensitive career and it involves some technologies that involves working with data etc. also remember that privacy violation is still a very big issue in tech and no serious organization wants AI trained with it's data etc. Tech giants, being what they are, can lay off techies because many of them are the architect of these AI tools but trust me, for as long as tech revolves around working with data, the demand will always be there. I don't see that changing in the next 10 years at least. Techies in the house can correct me if I'm wrong! |
FatechAgro:Op, I'm so inspired by your journey and have been thinking about this for a while. Can I chat you up could you give me some please as to how to start? I have a location I can use in Ogun State and I really need to stop procrastinating. I will appreciate your input please. |

As laudable as this intervention is, some people still hid behind their keyboard asking for receipts and verifications. These haters and bitter people all have problems. Someone even said it's not his personal money. Na wa o. You have 6 more years to go. So, braze up. |
SamuraiXXX:I agree with you 💯%. However, as much as I might not have a solution to this issue in the immediate, I want him to see this as a stage in life and a period of reflection even while he tries to navigate his way out of this. I am always an advocate of "own your home" if you can afford it. Trust me, that 2m annual rent would build him his own abode when multiplied by 3, of which he doesn't even need to pay all upfront. In fact, he would even earn from it in form of rent. If you ever find yourself doing well, know that it's not permanent, no matter how promising. Do something that if anything happens, you will have very little to worry about. As far as I am concerned, if a family man can afford to own the home he lives, make food available for his family and pay his children school fees, he will not loose focus when the tide gets turbulent because the home front is as good as secured. Back to the question, I always love skill related kind of investment because those are the proprietary things that can never be taken away from you. Let him look inwards and know the talent he can sell for a start. And he should not be in a hurry to dispose that assets that can give him that 20 million naira so he does not end up losing it all. |
Ikaeniyan0:It's actually not the person who tore her clothes because that was not intentional, apparently. The blame should go to the person who released the posted the video. In fact, the person needs to be sanctioned because it's unauthorized leaking of someone's nudity. The lady too has her own blame because it's plain stupidity to have dressed up for a journey as far as Uyo to Lagos without wearing a bra. |
Softmirror:I like this your clarification. I think the National Orientation Agency has a lot of work to do in regards to creating this awareness. Our people are fond of calling the name of the president every now and then even he has empowered their elected leaders with enough allocation in billions so they can provide the necessary infrastructure and empowerment to their people. however, I am so sure that some bitter people will still come here to say this is audio or propaganda blah blah blah. I have no time for such. |
chipet67:Oh! The rural areas you mean? Every state has its own rural areas and by the way, I would only blame the federal government if you tell me the name of the senator and member of House of rep representing your constituency and the steps your community leaders have taken to project this issue to the Federal Government. It's not enough to just come online to say trash about the government in Abuja. That is why you people elect people to represent you at the National Assembly. We need to learn to look inwards because as much as I know, Tinubu has been busy empowering your local leaders, from the state governors to the Local government chairmen. The LGs now even get their allocations directly from Abuja. So if you can not hold them to account, it's your fault. Tinubu will not come to your village to fix electricity for you after he has empowered the people you elected to make the necessary moves to actualize it. I feel your pain tho but hold the people you elected. Give them as conditions for reelection if you want them to perform. Other state governors and local government chairmen are already performing and you can not tell me that Rivers state is that poor. |
Believe me, I give up on all these enemies of progress in Nigeria. Tinubu has been showing workings left, right and center but these people are always very sad each time they hear or read them in the media. they either call it propaganda or they say it will be abandoned. It is now I see reasons why Tinubu treats them as if they don't exist because he already knows them, they never appreciates anything but he continues working he is not bothered. What are they like it or not, there is no vacancy in Aso Rock so they should keep willing. As e dey sweet us e dey pain them. This is another legacy infrastructure that will make life easier for them and even boost their economy, but no, they have not seen anything done by this administration. They will never see! |
anonimi:He obviously didn't bother to apply for documentation of the said parcel of land just because he has the money to build. If he had applied for documentation, the survey would have been requested and that is what would show the exact location of his land. Right there and then, his ownership would have been revoked. Just ask him for any documents, common survey, he would not be able to provide because he would not even be able to register it. It is simply foolishness. Pls allow him deal withthe outcome of his stupidity |
IMO, this matter needs to be revisited. I will always maintain one thing. She was just one out of over 100 passengers on that plane. For her to have been singled out for that assault is something that needs to be investigated. If truly as part of the safety protocol, there was an announcement that phones be switched off and she gave the phone to the next passenger besides her for an assistance at that point, the entire drama would have been averted. I dare say that there was already an altercation mid-flight, which would have made the hostess to block her from disembarking. Also, the passengers who seated beside her in the aircraft should be invited to say what they know/witnessed. In the absence of that, I believe there's CCTV installed in the aircraft, all these would help in the investigation. And any of them found wanting at the end of the investigation should be made to bear the legal consequences. |
OkanlawonB:Let him bring out the building plan, approval and the C of O of that piece of land. He went and built close to the Atlantic and coming here to play the victim. He should getat |
jmoore:Oh! You mean it shouldn't have come with some comfort? Anyways I need not say anything because it's unnecessary. Nothing the government does ever pleases you people. So, I'm not surprised. It didn't start with Enugu and it will not stop there. It is the same way you people said about BRT in Lagos, claiming it would not last a year bla bla bla. This is 17years and counting, BRT is getting stronger 💪. My own is that now that the governors are getting heavy allocations in billions, they should move fast and deliver dividends of democracy in form of infrastructure to their people. Those that have not started should start now so their states don't lag behind. This development must go round whether you people like it or not. It is Renewed Hope Agenda and it has come to stay! |

Achor1111:Thank you very much. Don't mind those people. The man's capital is $60 + $10 totalling $70. In two trades he made $10 each and that equals $20. It's that simple. |
jmoore:Nothing good comes cheap. Comfort, A/C, mentally sound drivers etc! Check am now. |
Mshad662:Of all the cng busses and cars in Lagos, how many CNG -related eventualities have been recorded? You people should look at the positive side of things for once. As much as I know, Lagos is one state I know that this CNG has gained massive acceptance as people now endure long list of queues for CNG at the filling station. Those who made and released CNG already considered the leakage part and taken steps to address that. |

I hope these names will become available to those interested in using them for new business registration now. And I hope all the banks and financial institutions have been notified accordingly such that it would not cause some errors in cheque clearance and funds posting to the new company owners accounts. Just my own opinion but I'm sure all these things must have been factored in. Reasons being that some people gets tired providing proposed names with the recurring NA status from the CAC. |
happney65:And which PDP candidate will oyo people vote for? Because even as at today, PDP is yet to produce the candidate to field for 2027 |
