Pls is there any suggestion of schools that can admit someone with a 3rd class bsc and 2:1 pgde for nursing post graduate ? |
DMainMan:Thanks very much. I will definitely put forward my application |
justwise:Thanks. Please can you suggest the cheapest institutions offering nursing after degree courses? |
justwise:What if one already has a degree but wants to change career to maybe nursing, can one still bring in family? Also for how long must the fund remain in one's account? |
STENON:I'm quite new on this thread. Please I want to ask, if I have TRCN, Do I still have to go through the PGCE course in the UK before being recognized as a qualified teacher? I also want to know if I will have to send my TRCN certificate to be assessed along with other credentials by UKnaric Lastly, is it possible to secure a teaching job from Nigeria without TRCN? |
Mamaroon:Félicitations mon amie |
Jbaby09:I think thé attachés image light ne useful for you. Copies from someone's PPR story

Having read postes about whether to bring up children un Canada or not, here's my take: First thé moral upbringing of Evert child ils thé duty of thé parents ans not that of thé Scholl or any other person. Thé morals we have are as a résult of what our parents instilled in us. If you do not plant the right values in your children right from their formative stage, they will be easily influenced by their peers. When you send your child to the top notch schools, are they going to be taught the moral values? Mind you Nigerians are not the only immigrants out there, we still have the Asians too, but they don't usually send their kids back home for training. It still amazes me how they do a good job in raising their kids, instilling their cultural values in their children. If you say that you put your children in day care centres so as to be able to work different shifts, it's not different from Nigeria where you enroll your children in school as early as three months so that you can work, because there's no benefit for you; and then your child is there from 7:00 am till about 6:00 pm. So what's the difference? We just have to weigh our options and we must have in mind that Nigeria of today is completely different. Our parents passed down the values to us, let us pass them down to our children, that is our duty. That's my take |
I evaluated my hubby's mba from lautech with ices and we got a positive revuew - equivalent to masters. Report was in late june thereabout ojsamuel: |

Please guys help me assess this task 1 essay of TCF
|
whizqueen:I quite enjoy your gist. It was as if the cool breeze for canada blow reach my side when you entered toronto in your video |
Tydoris:I used ICES. First ICES does not need WAEC. Also if you have uploaded your credentials online, you don't need to send photocopies again. And there is no need for WAEC scratch card. I hope you have not applied for WAEC transcript for ICES? |
Please help me to review this task 1 essay for TCF writing
|
for those that want to use ICES for their evaluation

Scard:I can't agree less with you. Having written TEF, and now preparing for TCF, I find TCF easier, but as you said the CO part is tricky. You listen once and part of it is also listening for the question. but the clips are short with I think the longest being about 1 minute or so, if I am right |
Hopeful123:thanks for sharing |
Mamaroon:With what I read about TCF, the questions are on a scale, also are the scores. so the meaning of this to me is that higher level questions get higher scores. So I think one needs to practice more with the higher level questions. Also from practicing, I noticed they start with the simpler ones before moving to the difficult ones. |
captainhoo:I attended alliance francaise in Ibadan October/November last year. And was placed in A2 class cos I had been self-studying prior to that time, but I couldn't communicate in french. within those two months, I was able to brush up and was able to sit for DELF exam. Their classes are worth it and they have good tutors. I took the classes during the week which were between 9 am and 1 pm |
For those saying IELTS bodies are using us to make money, I would say it is not entirely true. I wrote IELTS once and made it LRWS 8777.5. I knew my weak areas, I wasn't good in the reading and I am not the writng type. So I had to prepare fully for two weeks by watching JAy's youtube videos and studying the essay structures on ielts advantage. I also practiced with cambridge 13 Let me get to my point, the number of people writing IELTS has increased in Nigeria over the years, but are we sure if the number of people marking the scripts have increased. So many factors contribute to not being assessed well. The people marking the scripts are also human and they have a time frame for marking those scripts, now imagine someone who has not written legibly and expecting the examiner to strain his eyes so as to understand what he/she has written, coupled with the fact that he has a lot more scripts to mark, you can imagine what will happen to that script. Same thing goes for someone whose introduction is not very clear. And I believe there are some things these examiners look for in our writing. That is why we have to prepare very well before the exam and pray also. Why do you think people have their scores upgraded, this is because errors can occur in marking, one should just pray that the error should not occur on his own script. As a WAEC exxaminer I can tell you that examiners are not perfect, so that is why the scripts are vetted before WAEC does the final collation of scores. I have seen a situation where a student is supposed to score 40/70 but the examiner marked him to 20/70, but thankgully the script was one of the 10% to be vetted so after being assessed by another examiner it was upgraded to 40/70. But that doesn't mean that every script vetted will be upgraded. So are we now going to say WAEC is just using ua to make money? In my own opinion, do not rush to write any exam. We should be able to assess ourselves before the exam, and if we can't do that let's get people to assess us. It is better to be sure of your level before registering for the exam. Because 75k/68k is not a small amount of money. Prayer is also very important, it is the key to unlocking every doors and for obtaining favour from the examiners Lastly please let us be cautious of the way we write on social media. The way we write always affects our writing in exam. Even if it is to ask questions, let us try and write correctly. My 2 cents |
Mamaroon:Merci beaucoup. |
Mamaroon:One thing I realise about TEF is that unlike IELTS or TCF, there are limited materials to practice with. So I found myself practicing with the same materials over and over again. We did the listening first and I was able to hear them speak but I guess I didn't choose the correct answers so I got 196 which was CLB5 For the reading, I used the tips I got from this forum i.e do the first 10 and the last 10 first so I did that. The comprehension passages were quite long and technical to me. At the end I scored 181 CLB 6 For the Expressiion ecrite I practice with the youtube videos of mimi TEF and used her tips. i got the lowest here CLB 4 Lastly the expression orale. for the first part I was to ask 10 questions concerning test driving new cars and the second part, I was to convince a friend to patronise farmers market. I got CLB5 here. I am still going to write french again but this time I will give myself between now and October or November. |
Hello house, Please who has an idea of the cost of writing TCF, and when they are likely to kickstart in Lagos. I wrote TEF in Ibadan in June and did not make B2 all through, but I learnt TCF is easier. I have been able to get some materials and links to practice for TCF, thanks to this forum and a friend. But I would like to know the cost of the exam. I am looking to write in October cos that's when my ECA will be completed. |
hay2zed50:My own status also changed to incomplete file (documents required). and this happened when i was informed by my NTI contact that my transcripts had been sent. So I mailed ICES. In their reply they told me they have received my transcripts from NTI, so I don't know why I have such status. I intend waiting till next week before mailing them again if my status still continues to show Incomplete file. I think you should mail them to confirm if they have received transcripts from your institution |
Bellerin:Merci beaucoup |
Bellerin:just to be clear, are we saying there is no more negative marking in TEF. If that's the case that will be good news for me, cos I've been practicing with negative marking. ![]() |
you can't claim points through your brother's wife. Your brother has to be a PR before you claim points The rule is either you have a sibling (i.e your brother or sister), or your spouse has a sibling (his brother or sister) who is a PR and not your brother's wife Nmaotito: |
