Sakirasexy: House,,pls can i incclude a gce certificate dat i did not mention in my dsp form ?,,i wrote the exam before i finished secondary school
If you have the minimum requirements in the cert mentioned in your dsp which is 5 credit, then do not bother with the gce, however, do go with it on the day of your interview, make sure you holdon to it except it's required of you.

@genlion, without an iota of doubt i completely agree with your observation, but come to think of it, if we continue to paint our country black in public forum what message are we corresponding to the world. worst things happens in those country that we admire but they know how to shelter their image. pls let appreciate what we have and also learn to protect Naija's image around the world. Irrespective of how far and wide we travel, we shall someday return home. pls kindly accept my hands of fellowship.

jamal21: HEY EVERYONE ! FIRST OF ALL WISH YOU ALL GOOD LUCK ... I AM FROM MOROCCO .... MY INTERVIEW IS COMIN UP, BUT I GUES I MAY HAVE A LITTLE PROBLEM IM NOT SURE YET . I HOPE SOMEONE OUT THERE COULD HELP ME WITH THE RIGHT ANSWER ..... MY FAMILY TOOK ME TO USA WITH A VISITING VISA AND LEFT ME WITH OTHER FAMILY MEMEBERS. I SPENT 6 YEARS WITH THE FAMILY MEMBERS, UNTILL I GOT MY HIGH SCHOOL DEPLOMA. THEN I DECIDED TO COME BACK BECAUSE I NEVER LIKE THE FACT THAT I WAS ILLIGEL OVER USA . SO I CUT MY FLIGHT AND SIMPLY CAME BACK NOOOOOOOOOOOO DEPORTATION OR ANY OF THAT.I HAD ABSOLUTLY NO PROBLEM AT THE AIR PORT JUST LIKE ANY ONE ELSE FLYING TO ANY COUNTRY, SO I CAME BACK TO MOROCCO AND THEN APPLIED FOR DV LOTTEY I WON AND HERE IAM NOW ALMOST THERE, WILL BE ATTENDING MY INTERVIEW SOON MY QUESTION FROM ALLLLLLLL THIS IS "AMONG THE DOCUMENT REQUIRED TO BRING TO THE INTERVIEW DATE DO I NEED TO BRING (Deportation Documentation Form I-212)AS WELL, EVEN IF I WAS NOT DEPORTED?"
Seems you over stayed your welcome (exceed the duration of your visitation in the US) then be prepare to answer relative questions, otherwise you have nothing to worry about.
Presenting deportation doc when you are not a victim is suspicious. Therefore present only relevant docs.

seal777: Thanks so much but i took a definite decision on it already.

I am the principal applicant hence i cant proceed with the application in whatever form, SINGLE, MARRIED OR DIVORCED.

I will wait and file for my wife at the appropriate time, who knows she might win next year.

God's time they say, is the best.
Alright bro, but "next year" that is if Nigeria is eligible and the whole process not replaced as proposed.
All thesame my regards to your family.

@seal777 well, it's unfortunate how detailers decline request for detail explanations on why they felt it is risky for you to proceed, instead they left you in dilemma.
Just be patient, you will soon get a preferred advice.
TravelRe: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by YessWeeCan(m): 2:18pm On May 13, 2013
pjogutum1: @Seal777: if you follow the above advice you will run yourself into trouble, you don’t have any chance forget it since you are already a green card holder. Kindly follow the normal way and apply for your wife its better that she will be coming late than for you to be returned back to Nigeria. Kindly read the instruction on how to apply for spouse, the rule is very clear.
I don't mean to make any argument, but i think you have not explain to him in details why he'll be returned back to nigeria. This will help him arrive at a better conclusion.
TravelRe: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by YessWeeCan(m): 7:43am On May 13, 2013
@all, pls note: My argument as regard seal777's case is subject to independent review.

seal777: QUICK ADVICE PLEASE.

I won the previous edition of the Visa lottery, went through the process and got my visa.

I got married to my then fiancee weeks before i left Nigeria with the hope of filling for her thereafter.

Out of curiosity and Since application for 2014 edition closes before my interview, i entered for the 2014 Visa lottery which result came out few days ago as married and also WON.

Whats the faith of this outcome as it concerns my wife, since i played as married and i am already in the US as a beneficiary of an existing 2013 DV Visa?.

I will advice you to continue with the processing, you have not committed any crime by so doing. The only thing that changes in your profile is marital status which is understandable, if you are ask why, say you did that to show commitments to your wife and seriousness to her parents. this will have no effect on your current status, afterall they select you for the second time you do not select yourself.
If atall they decide not to isue the visa, this way you have help ease the process when filling for her and her kids in the nearest future.

Gentiger: If she returns 5 years and file for a child she didn't declare in her eDV application, her citizenship will be revoked and all rights and privileges withdrawn. It is deemed that she obtained her citizenship fraudulently. There's a guy that approached the embassy 5 years after he became established to file for a child he left out of his original eDV application. When they began to question him at the embassy and he realized he was going to loose everything, he withdrew his application immediately. To his greatest shock, on his way into the United States, he was denied entry because the embassy has disclosed the fraud to all units, his ssn was already noted down along with his alien number on his green card. Thank God he still had the plastic card which he hid away while claiming he lost it on transit . He merely gave his ssn, ID card number and alien registration number to the immigration officers which is good enough to grant him re-entry. What he did was to fly back to Nigeria, and book another flight to Canada since Canada accepts green card holders without visa. There's No way Canadian immigration would know his green card was voided except of course they request an update from US immigration. The guy cleverly married a Canadian lady, became a citizen after 3 years and is now back to the States. Smart dude.
Well said. But Gentiger, did you notice their curiosity, after several series of advice beckoning on them to stick to their current status? I pray they'll listen.

YessWeeCan: @ Cindybella and ik.swiss, it obvious both of you have a similar issue, this is a perfect example that can pass a case study. who knows, maybe we are being too engross by the laws lately or too careful of what can actually be of advantage.
Here is my opinion: both of you should choose separately from the options below.
1. Add a beneficiary to your current status.
2. Maintain your current status.
Consider the options carefully before making your choice, chose which is most preferred by you and stand to take responsibility of the outcome of your decision.
Your experience we serve as a better teacher. All the best as you make a life changing decision.
@taatus, pls kindly rephrase this, i want to be sure you can read between lines. i suppose you are not referring to me anyway.
TravelRe: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by YessWeeCan(m):
YessWeeCan: Chances are very slim if you choose to add yourself as derivative, since it was earlier stated SINGLE AND NO KID. Let her proceed to the interview alone, she will file for you after 6 years.
Remember, these are rear opportunity. Help your mum secure the visa not otherwise.
@taatus, this was my advice to someone whose mom has similar issue. i guess you skip this.

If option (1) is what you are considering, you can make it count.

yominent: Hello house, my friend won the 2014 dvlottery that just came out but he applied as a divorcee. Can he change his marital status back to single but he has no document to proof that.
No need of changing status, all he need do is to proceed to the necessary registry that is responsible for marriage matters, there he will duly advice on the required doc he must present during his interview.
