I agree with Biina. Through out my 4 years in school, there was no session the SUG president and co. were not accused of mismanagement and embezzlement. Even the executives of National Association of Nigerian Students are busy fighting for their selfish interest. Our students are more desperate than these so called politicians.

@ Chidi, the list is endless. . . . .but that doesn't mean naija is already a failed state. Why do you want to join the fight in the middle ? Be part of those that would liberate da nation.

The "we need a messiah" was just a metaphorical statement. It doesn't mean we are waiting for someone like Rawlings to save us. The major headache i have about this country is that our politicians are not the only one to put in check. Corruption and other vices have eaten deep into our system that everybody is looking for a sharp sharp avenue to break even. I believe the best way to start is to have a 1 voice, one Nigeria orientation. So that our leaders wont be able to use divide and rule for us. United we Stand !

Ghana was worse than Nigeria years ago. We all thought nothing good would come out of the land again. J. Rawlings took the heroic step to save the whole Ghanians . . . . . . .presently, everything works fine there. 100% electricity. We need a Messiah !

I told folks on the Ekiti thread that Pdp would win the rerun and nothing would happen. Oni was sworn in on the 2nd day. . . . .and Ekiti is back to business as usual. Our leaders dare not pray for a better country because their wealth is multiplied in the chaos of the nation. I was surprised when a friend told me that Clinton left White House without a personal house. Ordinary Councillor in Naija is a proud owner of hectares of land, series of 2008 model cars, chains of business, houses all over the world. . . . .and you keep wondering if leading the people is a lucrative business.

@ kobo, tpiah mentioned something about pen on the first page.

@ chidi, your above statement is the major reason why people are afraid of change in this country. Why think treason or felony ? Let's rebuke cowardice spirit and move the country forward. Everybody can't be jailed/killed. . . . . . . .we just need to be on a right course.

We are tired of same stories. The pen has no stand in Nigeria. Its been blotted. We need physical action. Enough of national blogging on our dailies.
PoliticsIs It Legal For Security Agents To Board Commercial Vehicles Free ? by yicob(op): 8:11pm On May 07, 2009
I don't know if this is constitutional ! I discovered that our policemen, army, navy et al don't pay anytime they board the commercial vehicles. Is there any law governing this?

I remembered the day i went for Gulder Ultimate Search 3 selection in Union Bank sport complex, Surulere Lagos. We were made to run an unending race. It was not that easy. . . . .many people collapsed on the way. Though I ran till we were made to stop but i could not catch a breath until after 5 minutes or thereabout. May the guys RIP.

PoliticsRe: The Nigeria Of My Dream ! Can It Be Achieved By Just Sitting In Your House And Making Comments ? by yicob(op): 7:33am On May 07, 2009
What happened in Ekiti could have happened in any state. Pdp was afraid to lose more states because that could jeopadize their stand in other states of the federation.

The problem we have in this country are the masses. Our leaders are evil thinkers while we execute for them.

@ kobo, funny enough, the swearing in was done in ekiti today. Imam and Priests were present to pray for oni.

Everybody is complaining that the country is in shambles. . . . . We want a change of event, . . .No difference between our Military era and Democratic terrain. People are suffering and smiling. We need a revolution . . . .but we are all saying it behind closed doors. Someone thinks somebody would spearhead it. Somebody is looking at Someone to start it. Unfortunately Everybody knows the Nigeria of his dream and how to achieve it, but Nobody is doing anything tangible. Do we still have vibrant youths that can withstand the storm? God bless the likes of Late Tai Solarin, Late Bola Ige, Wole Soyinka, Gani Fawehinmi, Tunji Braithwate, Late Fela Anikulapo et al. They made us proud when they were full of life. What is happening to this generation? Making comments only without action? Let's have a rethink as I leave you in the hands of Fela " Sorrow, Tears and Blood".

Adebayo Ayoka was not the 1st Nigerian to show such hypocrisy. Senator Nuhu Aliu did the same last year when he promised to show evidence and mention names of corrupt senators and co. He only came out some days later to apologize and say it was a slip of tongue !

Must she be an Ekiti babe to participate? My participation/interest in this rerun made many people think am from ekiti.  Theo failed to understand that whatever happens in Ekiti would affect not just south west but the whole country.
