God help us, why is it that Nairaland Females are more interested in NYSC than the males? |
I dont like this restructuring OOOOOOOOOOOOOoooo. Please seperate the writing from poetry. |
i dont even watch film at all. |
my advice might not be of help though it helped me when i was at the cross road of my career. I discovered that i have passion for everytin u mentioned above except maths. i ended up finding solace in advertising industry cos i have to work on different brands . . . . .and since u re already talented in all, it wud b a matter of the best lady that can work on all brands. U can work as an account/client officer, strategist, copywriting, art directn, traffic officer etc. The fact that you work in different fields in one office would make u an epitome of good ideals. You can shoot me a mail at jackobzn@yahoo.com hastalavista baby! |
imagine, , i didnt see the picture of the violin. Yeap. . . . . i now understand whats going on. hope i wasnt too forward in my above posts? |

stop speaking in parables brother. cos am not good in intepreting such! Who died? The girl or the violin? And how did it happen? |
Darren could have been lenient with ladies but his experience with Lois made him brutal. He will never go into a 100% trust relationship. He learnt his lesson though in a hard way. . . . . and it took him almost 2 years to get over the euphoria of Lois. " huh. . . .what a beautifully made tall, slim and romantic blonde" he said as he recalled the good old days. |
simple and straight forward story. Centered on an urban girl going to the village for the first time. . . .uh? Your story is targetted @ the junior sch children? you can do better by making the village issue a sub theme. Goodluck baby. |

le'mme buy the idea for N10k |
its 3pm. . . . .darren was in bed thinking ahead of how the dinner would go. he was lost in his thought of how to appear for the dinner, the kind of embracement to give her when they meet again this evening and how to make her feel on top of the world by giving her a first class continental treat. Suddenly, he heard a gentle knock at the door. . . .he rushed to open, only to discover it was his dog and the neighbour's cat that were playing the pranks. . . .that same cat the lady use to give a bowl of milk every night. |
e get as e dey do bluespice self! No be she promise not to return to this thread? or the orator has made her to fall in love with the sweet words? @ agaba, u gat mouth like obama! |
Without much conviction, she agreed to go on a date with Darren that same evening. "wow. . . .never knew this girl is so beautiful with her gap toothed angelic smile and a dove like eyeball. . . . .Hope this relationship wouldn't end as usual after one month of sexual escapades?" Darren imagined as they were making plans for the date. |
is Seun an Atheist, a Christian or a MUSLIM? |
is it a must for a winner to emerge? |
taaaaa see beeves |
Personally, i'm an Obamaite who believes in the audacity of hope. Its appalling the way some africans on this forum are in support of mccain though everybody has a right to choose. Before the november general election, lets do an in-house-poll. goodluck. |
awoof dey run belle @ businessnaira.com |
these thred were very unik and interesting. It is apoling dat the posta himsef can make a misstook. Actualy, no bodies is abov mistaking. Lets us com togetda and forgave the poster for his sin of typography. its time we stop waysting taime on the internate. Anyway, am out of these plase before i bust my stomache with lafters. sisiskill or siskill, is this the literary section? Run back to where they wont scatter your head dear, cos this is really appalling. |
@ adoralima, send a mail to seun probably he could be interested in one of the stories. by the way, did you write the stories with the same communication skills u used in ur above post? |
surfing in the midst of 200k nairalanders, i never thought to wander into the poem section until i pounder that it would be nice to join the poetic landers And i realized that a sonnet is worth more than 58 page prose then i was left without any thought than to appreciate the section that teaches in parables even if i wasnt inspired at the moment, i had no option than to type through my phone just to achieve the dream, the dream of being part of the posters in the unheard and unrecognized section of out Great Forum and i finally realise that if you think it, you can be it. though it could be difficult, but its achievable oh lets hail da poem section. |
what the heck is happening here? have u guys forgot the contract law? The buyer could afford to pay Afterall, thousands of nigerians would be willing to partake just because of the fame and not the MONEY. i hereby object any form of unsolicited increment in the said prize. A R I S E ! |
***repeated post deleted*** |
if our youths can be like smc and orikinla. . . . . . .what do we think nigeria would turn to? THE GREATEST LITERARY WORLD! but we prefer to be sexually romantic to romancing the pen with great stuffs learnt from books. . . . . .a generation heading towards being worst and wasted. . . . . by the way orikinla, as per my copywriting career, i ve started my apcon registration and a creative arm of a top ad agency in the country has agreed to train me for some months without salary. |
i was invited to come and start a pre-nysc job in one of the top ad agencies in the country. i was told during the interview that i will not be paid until i start my nysc next year march as it be an avenue to train myself. i was given one week to decline or accept the offer. what should i do? |
@ orikinla, as if you were there when i was talking to a chap today. The children of this generation love mudane things. . . . . . .until we understand the fact that there is power in reading books,. . . . . . . .our creativity could still be second grade. btw orikinla, what advice would you give to a wannabe/rookie copywriter without a degree relating to communications/ languages. |
