My family ave our land to a developer to build on lease.he has now completed the building and released a flat to my family has agreed in the lease term but then made us an offer on our flat. He wants to manage our flat on our behalf to ensure utility and other maintenance compliance for the incoming tenant and also would pay us the rental fee on exact due date regardless of where or not the tenant has paid him, which is very good but here is the challenge for me, he wants it to be that his lawyer will be the one that would draft the agreement and take the agreement fees for this proposal. I am not comfortable because his lawyer was the one that already drafted the building lease term agreement, so am very confused and needed help

A case of wrong demolition by LABCA
My family building was partially demolished by the referenced agency without proper procedure.
The building was marked distressed about 4weeks ago after which they served us a notice to run a test on the building to determine its state. The test was conducted a week ago and we expect the result in 3weeks, the men who came to run the test put a mark on the building as their usual sign to ward off LABCA officials as it signals that the building has undergone the usual test and now await results.
We were shocked to see their men few days back as they came to demolish the building, they partially demolished and was later chased off by boys on the street as they were suspicious and given that the building is still very strong.
We had gone to their office to see members of the enforcement team who claim that they will still demolish even after we mentioned that they please allow the test result come out.
Please people of fairness and justice l need your advise on this matter.

A wife is a caterer and of recent had jobs for 4days non stop having to cook meals for a four day event thus did not have a proper night rest. After the event while going home to her hubby, a man friend of the wife not boyfriend oh just customer now friend offer her a free room in his hotel to enable her have a proper rest after the 4days Hussle she decline and instead said except her husband comes along with her. On getting home she mentioned the offer to hubby, hubby declined and said it's not honourable since they have their house and would look downgrading for him to follow her to the hotel offered by a male friend.

Done that, they gave him a cream, l have applied it and now got a new one on a second visit.

I am not sure about the scope of renovation you want to carry out but I can outline the steps I followed in my renovation project.
1. I sat down with an architect to conceptualise the ideas and changes I wanted and how I wanted to make use of the space. He then measured the old building and produced a few computer generated images with these ideas and some suggestions of his own. Once we were both in agreement, he produced final drawings for the builders to work with.
2. I got myself a builder/civil engineer (the choice is yours if you just want to use an experienced bricklayer but due to previous experience I opted for a certified builder.
3. I purchased all the materials (your builder will advise you) to meet the various milestones until completion of the project and paid for labour as required.
4. The biggest lesson from all these was making sure the artisans were well supervised. So many corrections had to be made due to deviation from the original plan and in some cases negligence/laziness or just wickedness (I think!). Always let the professionals guide you but also watch your budget. Some may make you do much more than originally planned.
5. The biggest surprise was totalling my expenses and finding out that renovation is not as cheap as they make you believe when you start!

Hello guys, please what other options can one employ to develop or upgrade a building without engaging a developer. The building is old with solid clay blocks and need not be demolished and rebuild but just to do upgrade to maintain the one story building. Note the owners has not money for the upgrade and does not want to do developer contract thing?
