and they are equally regulated by CBN as someone rightly said, so please I need someone with an experience and or a logical reasons why I should or should not.

Please does anyone know about investing in any of the micro finance bank for Fixed deposit; I got their rate guide today and its so high and tempting, I need to know if theirs any risk associated with investing with them.

there rates are 15%, 17% and 18% for fund in the range of N1M - N9M for 90,180, 270 & 360days.

Please any one ever placed funds with them

By now, rates for treasury bills should be above 13.5% particularly for 364days where it has peached for some time now, no thanks to the Banks(PDMM), who has in recent times bided low for fear of losing their bids.

It seems to me that CBN is using the two Tb’s market to play down the rates; they in recent times use the Primary market to beat down the rate observing the liquidity levels, then come in through the OMO (Secondary market) to mop up the excess liquidity at their idea rates which must have being their CAP.

All in all it is the banks(PDMM’s) that can help to force them to push up this rates if they drastically reduce their demands.

Please can someone confirm the course fee for developmental finance for me. I saw N600,000 on Unilag website. Please is that the amount?

@sammily: your attached template works perfectly well for GTB as it gives one the exact upfronts with all applicable charges. But it does not work exact for First Bank, I have tried it severally but it doesn't work, it only give your an idea though.

Yes it includes materials and labor.
It was my directive that he includes pillars to make the building solid and formidable even though d land is very dry

My builder wants to include 9 pillars to the foundation of my 4 bedroom bungalow and he has charged me 25,000 for everything, please is it a fair deal. I am concerned because he said its going to be a short pillar for now with the lenght of the iron rod short, about the height of the foundation, then we continue it later by joinning irons to it as he builds.

Please is this right?

Sorry I mean to say my office is around VI and not lekki. @ Pamachukwu, 11 is still ok for a young man of my age

I am currently working in Lekki and I am planning on moving to rent a house in badagry, my office resumption time is 8:00am, please will it be possible for me to get to office by 8:00 from badagry and going home too, i hope will not be much stress. please any idea from your guys

I discussed this with my oga who intends to build his house in 6 months and he siad he will build with just N2m without the cost of the land but that the rooms will not be of a standard one and the 3 rooms too. i.e portable flats.

Please is it possible and can anyone give us the break down of how this is possible. his land is at Agbara

A friend of mine bought a land from this so called ‘estate agent companies’, I mean from those registered companies who buys in bulk and then sell in bits to individuals all in the name of setting up an estate. (e.g PARKVIEW ESTATE, ROCK VIEW ESTATE ETC)
He made payments for the land in instalment for 2years and could no longer complete his payment due to circumstances beyond control, to feed has practically become a problem as there is no means of survival, then he went to the company to make claims of his contribution so far, wrote them a letter and was expecting them to call him to come pick up his check.
Rather than call him; they (The Company) replied his letter stating two conditions:

1. That the right to pay him back his money is at their management discretion and that if at all they want to pay him, they will only pay him after deducting some charges like administrative charges amounting to 40% of his amount contributed so far, and the balance of 60% will be paid him in instalments the same way he made the contributions to the company.
2. That he should find a new buyer for the said land and communicate the same to the company for proper transfer of same. The company will also make some charges on the amount of sales.

All of this has since troubled my friend and when he told me I was very angry, so I told him to relax that we will sort for help.
Please kindly help out with your contributions house.

Which commission or agency can we sort for help in this regards ?
