Please I will like to ask how did you work on the consent letter. Did you just type and sign or did you go to the court to do anything with it before submission. I am a single mother and want to get a consent letter from my daughters dad, he I willing but I want to know what is applicable.

Good evening great mind,I have been reading about address on TB test certificate,is IOM going to ask for this address when I go for the test?
Also am doing family of 4,wifey is the student while me and our two kids will be dependant to all apply at the same time using same POF and we intend to stay at my sister in-laws place in the UK when we get there,my question is can we use her address for the TB test and also can we say we will be staying there for quarantine when applying for visa??

At the moment, I strongly advice against this as you’ll need to apply for an air port transit visa even if you’re not stepping out of the airport. This can’t be done online so you have to use VFS and go for biometrics.
It’s not worth it (my opinion) I booked virgin. BA is a good option as well.

It has been a long journey trying to get a study visa. After 5 refusal from Canada, we decided to calm down and later decided to go to UK instead. My wife actually loves Canada because her sister has been there.

We declared all refusal and stated the reasons.

I just want to say thank you to the brain behind Nairaland creation. It’s really helping.
Also let no one give up. We never did.

Took about a week to finish all the 5 applications. Uploaded wrong statement, had to redo it at the centre. It wasn’t funny at all because we have extensive travel history and the documents were plenty. But it was for the best and thank God we even noticed the mistake.

Picked up 5th April
Approval was since 29th

pls, anybody coming into Uk should endeavor to do the compulsory 14 days quarantine.

whether they call or check u up is not ur problem.

I have just finished 14 days quarantine and nobody called me to ask if am indoor.

yesterday, a student was decieved by his friends to go out only for the police to check him up at home and was not found.

he is awaiting deportation and he has being banned from UK for 3 years.

Another person was called and she did not picked the calls, she was checked up at home and she was so lucky she was home.

if u have ears hear o. no let anybody decieved u.
one of my friend too told me quarantine does not matter but I had ears and I listen.

Avoid student accommodation if you are on budget, private renting is a lot cheaper.

Regarding student part time jobs.. your focus should be on jobs like supermarket customer service assistant, care, warehouse associates, security guards etc.

After graduation job...get yourself any job fair app, register and you will be receiving job fair alerts around the UK , attend recruitment events as many as you can, you will get a lot of info and contact from companies

Please I need your advice , my school is in Bristol.

I’m currently filling my visa application and I’m at the point where I’m being asked if I know where I will stay in Uk? I have someone in Bristol , who I plan to stay with for a week or 2 , before I get an apartment. But I plan on quarantining in London at a friend’s.

Should I include both addresses in my visa application or I should leave it blank ?

Also, is the paga payment option is available for IHS payment and Visa fee?

Note that TransferWise is also an online bank like Monzo, Starling or Metro, but for our purposes it is way better than Monzo because it is open to users anywhere in the world, i.e. you can open a TransferWise bank account from Nigeria, with your Nigerian address and phone number, and they will give you an account number which you can then use to transfer money from your Nigerian domiciliary account. You don't need a VPN to use it from Nigeria and you don't need an app (optional). Just use your PC to connect.

When you get to the UK and open an account, you can then transfer your money from the TransferWise account to whichever new account you open in the UK, be it an online bank (which is faster and will come with a debit card, very necessary) or a physical B&M one.

Basically you "upload" your money by making all your transfers from Nigeria before you go and ensuring there are no problems from the Nigerian end (I have had none from GTB thus far, I used their online banking), then "download" your money when you get to the UK. They don't charge fees for local intra-UK bank transfers.
