Adexcube007: Please I will like to ask how did you work on the consent letter. Did you just type and sign or did you go to the court to do anything with it before submission. I am a single mother and want to get a consent letter from my daughters dad, he I willing but I want to know what is applicable.
Thanks There is no need for court authorization. Just a simple letter that cover the basics mentioned earlier. You can adapt the letter below: DATE RE: Parental Consent for [dependant’s name] To whom it may concern This is to confirm that I, [parent/legal guardian name] and I, [parent/legal guardian name] are the [parent(s)/legal guardian(s)] of [dependant’s name] and that we give our consent to [dependant’s name] to apply for [his/her] immigration permission or student dependant visa in the UK. We agree with the living arrangements that have been made for [your name] in [location]. We confirm that we share legal custody for [dependant’s name]. Enclosed are the [birth certificate/adoption certificate/court document confirming legal guardianship] confirming our relationship. Yours faithfully [parent(s)/legal guardian(s) signature] [parent(s)/legal guardian(s) name] [address] [telephone] [email] Adapted from a Sample (Courtesy: International Student Support, The University of Sheffield). You look through your school's International Student Support Office for similar materials too. |

Also am doing family of 4,wifey is the student while me and our two kids will be dependant to all apply at the same time using same POF and we intend to stay at my sister in-laws place in the UK when we get there,my question is can we use her address for the TB test and also can we say we will be staying there for quarantine when applying for visa??
Kind responses will be appreciated It suffices to use the address of the school as your UK address especially at this stage. BW |

Sadioyesuf: Pls can you direct me how to track application online. Thanks and congratulations Tracking the application onlineUKVI sends an email when you have created an account on the website for visa application. You can always log in to the account to view or edit your application through a link in that email. To track your visa application after biometrics appointment: -Sign in to your account on the gov.uk website. -On the new page, click on "provide documents and biometrics". -On new page, click "continue". At this point, you will be re-directed to TLS website, -On new page, click on "track". I hope this helps. BW |

teeboi77: Good morning and congratulations, please I have some questions to ask.
1.Did you same POF for everyone
2.Did you provide consent letter for your kid even though you will be traveling with the kid.
3.Did you file in all the applications at once. Your kind and prompt response will be appreciated.
Regards Apologies for the late response. 1. Yes, I used the same POF for everyone that I applied for at the same time. I ensured the total amount in the bank account was enough. 2. I provided consent letters for the children. I did not travel with the children to the UK. My spouse travelled with them. However, consent letters from "both parents" must be added to the visa applications of minors regardless of whether yo. 3. I submitted all the applications at about the same time. For some weeks before the submission, I was editing all the applications simultaneously. So when it was time to submit, there was little to add to all the applications and I was able to submit them about the same time. I hope this helps. Best Wishes |

Please does anyone know if children under 5 years departing from Nigeria also need to register on the ncdc portal for departure as well? 2. Are they also required to take the Covid19 tests? Thanks |

Melahou: Please can you assist with documents you presently, I am also hoping to travel with a family of four. Especially documents for the kids The docs 'I added' to support the application of my dependants. 1. Letter of consent for each child to apply for the visa signed by both parents. Preferably, the letter should explain your relationship with the child, that you have sole or shared custody of the child, that you consent to the child applying for the visa, and it would be good to add that you (both parents) are satisfied with the accommodation arrangements made for the child. 2. Letter of invitation (I was resident in the UK at the time of their application). Stating that I am a student, the course I'm studying and the university. My relationship with the applicant and my wish to invite 'them'. The Accommodation arrangements I've made in preparation. That I have also attached evidence for their support to their application. 3. My evidence of permission to stay in the UK ---Copy of my BRP (I don't think you need that if the main applicant is also applying at the same time). Data page of my passport (I think you'd need that). 4. Evidence of relationship -- birth certificate for child, marriage certificate for spouse. 5. Evidence of necessary funds as stipulated. Plus the TB clearance certificates etc At the point of submitting the application, I was prompted to fill another 'family consent form' permitting the funds in my account to be considered for the visa application of my dependants. Best wishes |

Visa alert!!! Which of the Favours of my Lord can I deny? None whatsoever.
3 dependants Submission - 11th June (Priority) TB result delayed biometrics -22 June Biometrics - 25th June *Ikeja Collection email- 2nd July Picked up - 2nd July
Visa approved.
Some personal observations wt the application. The TLS contact app tracking app was not functional throughout. The applications were better tracked via online. The online track status may be the most quickly updated for now. Online "Application transferred to VAC" first observed around 11:30 "Application received by VAC" first observed around 14:42
Via email: Application assessed and document ready for collection came in quick succession around 14:40.
Summary, it is better to track online than via email.
Thanks to everyone holding the forte by sacrificing valuable time to answer questions and guide others. Thanks.
Best wishes everyone. |

AAO7: At the moment, I strongly advice against this as you’ll need to apply for an air port transit visa even if you’re not stepping out of the airport. This can’t be done online so you have to use VFS and go for biometrics. It’s not worth it (my opinion) I booked virgin. BA is a good option as well. Please, where did you (or do you intend to) conduct your covid19 test before boarding the flight to the UK? Any guidance on available centres and how much they charge? Thanks |

Hi everyone,
Please, considering these two posts below:Obehi44: VISA ALERT!!!
Submitted: 26/04/2021 Biometrics: 27/04/2021 Main applicant: Priority Dependants: Standard Family of 3. Collection mail: 06/05/2021 Visa was actually approved:04/05/2021 All 3 received same day.
School: Coventry University May intake.
It has been a long journey trying to get a study visa. After 5 refusal from Canada, we decided to calm down and later decided to go to UK instead. My wife actually loves Canada because her sister has been there.
We declared all refusal and stated the reasons.
I just want to say thank you to the brain behind Nairaland creation. It’s really helping. Also let no one give up. We never did.
What God cannot do does not exist! ANDmumzt: VISA ALERT
family of 5 Took about a week to finish all the 5 applications. Uploaded wrong statement, had to redo it at the centre. It wasn’t funny at all because we have extensive travel history and the documents were plenty. But it was for the best and thank God we even noticed the mistake. Did biometrics on 27th April No decision email Collection mail 5th April Picked up 5th April Approval was since 29th
Main applicant - priority Dependents standard Picked up same day
Thank you everyone for your help and information. I wish everyone success on this journey. May we find favor in the Uk. Amen ....would it be right to assume that whenever one of the members of a family (applying together for UK visa) apply for PRIORITY VISA (PROCESSING) and others apply for STANDARD VISA (PROCESSING) that all the visas would be 'processed' within the response time of the PRIORITY VISA? Thank you. |

Hello everyone,
Please, I wish to ask what documents would be required for visa applications of a spouse & child dependant (to a student) besides the evidence of maintenance funds, TB certificate, marriage & birth certificates. Are there any peculiar things that may need paying special attention to?

Sherry02: Congrats! Does it say when you can travel? There is a date tagged "valid from". I guess that indicates when you may be able to enter. The rule states that the earliest you may enter is one month from your study start date if your study has a 'long' duration. However, if you request to enter the UK less than a month to your study start date, the later date is usually honored. |

justwise: Avoid student accommodation if you are on budget, private renting is a lot cheaper.
Regarding student part time jobs.. your focus should be on jobs like supermarket customer service assistant, care, warehouse associates, security guards etc.
After graduation job...get yourself any job fair app, register and you will be receiving job fair alerts around the UK , attend recruitment events as many as you can, you will get a lot of info and contact from companies Thanks |

Please I need your advice , my school is in Bristol.
I’m currently filling my visa application and I’m at the point where I’m being asked if I know where I will stay in Uk? I have someone in Bristol , who I plan to stay with for a week or 2 , before I get an apartment. But I plan on quarantining in London at a friend’s.
Should I include both addresses in my visa application or I should leave it blank ?
Also, is the paga payment option is available for IHS payment and Visa fee?
I will appreciate your response.
Thank you all Paga option is available for IHS and paga verve for visa fees. |

TheGuyFromHR: Note that TransferWise is also an online bank like Monzo, Starling or Metro, but for our purposes it is way better than Monzo because it is open to users anywhere in the world, i.e. you can open a TransferWise bank account from Nigeria, with your Nigerian address and phone number, and they will give you an account number which you can then use to transfer money from your Nigerian domiciliary account. You don't need a VPN to use it from Nigeria and you don't need an app (optional). Just use your PC to connect.
When you get to the UK and open an account, you can then transfer your money from the TransferWise account to whichever new account you open in the UK, be it an online bank (which is faster and will come with a debit card, very necessary) or a physical B&M one.
Basically you "upload" your money by making all your transfers from Nigeria before you go and ensuring there are no problems from the Nigerian end (I have had none from GTB thus far, I used their online banking), then "download" your money when you get to the UK. They don't charge fees for local intra-UK bank transfers. Many thanks for this detailed guide. |
