LearnITsmash: We will soon hit 100k infections, it's a matter of time We won't because we have to conduct about 300 thousand tests before we can realise a confirmed case of about 100 thousand. And do u think with this sluggish procedure, we can test that high? |

taibat61: Are u a tertiary staff or one of d MDAs?
Our pension and tax v skyrocketed as from what was deducted in January
Let me keep d union deduction to d fault of our union leaders
Was there any increase in d tax and pension?? I work in a tertiary hospital. The tax has sky rocketed since 2016/2017 but the tertiary institutions likely didn't effect the increase on their staff salary because they were on gifmis. Now that they being migrated to IPPIS, the system will effect it automatically. My tax jumped from 7k to 19k in late 2016. What me and my colleagues were complaining in 2016, universities staff just dey complain in 2020 |

Olumyyde: After the capturing which was done around July/August 2015, IPPIS finally took over payment of salaries in February 2016. From the first month of payment it has bn smooth. There were no hidden deductions, infact our take home stepped up a bit(reason was the unified taxing system of IPPIS). No issues from the very first month. U had joined IPPIS before the killer tax was introduced. |

taibat61: Mr Olumide, kindly share your experience with Ippis since 2015. Emphasis should be on d first 3 months sir. I know someone that was paid just 3 weeks after he was captured by IPPIS but that was in 2018. My observation is that IPPIS has had a lot to do in the last one year, which is slowing down the pace of work. I have another friend that was captured in January this year and is yet to start getting paid by IPPIS but his workplace is still paying him and others like him using their IGR and the monthly subventions from the FG pending when IPPIS will start paying. |

cutechioma1: Audio hazard allowance. I no see any increase for my alert The hazard allowance is for federal tertiary hospitals only and is not likely to come with this month's salary because it was just announced few days back. Circular has been sent to all the hospitals already directing them to forward names of their personnel, it isn't audio. Where do u work? |

emeernest: Yes, but if the cases are far above 987, can you explain why people are not falling sick or dying everywhere. Because they say the virus takes about 14days to manifest and we have been on lockdown for much longer. It is because covid-19 infection is not a death sentence. The major reasons why they record thousands of death in the developed countries is because they have very large number of elderly people there and this set of people have low immunity. They live long unlike Africans. Moreso, the NCDC statistics of people infected in Nigeria shows it is majorly the age group 30 and 40 years, a youth population with strong immunity. |

With IPPIS, it is even worse cos approval has to come from Abuja first, before the VCs can do anything.
In some instances, appointments will come from Abuja straight without the knowledge of the VCs. Imagine the possibility of that getting seriously abused. It's clear u know very little about IPPIS. The info here is very wrong. |

I laughed when I saw the ignoramus claiming on a front page thread that the govt is hyping covid-19 in Nigeria. The most populous black nation in the world having less than 1000 cases and people are still talking shit that corona is scam. We should rather be doubting that the figures being announced is way too low than the actual cases. Mind u, Kano is likely having issues with test kits, so nobody has been tested there in the last 48hrs. Mo better start praying that it shouldn't boomerang, because if na per resources, we no fit. |
