I LOVE TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
There is a pattern I will call "bomb them all". When I see this patter I will to exit. See the daily chart of CLF. You have no option but to sell or take profit.

Let us see what the FED minute will say later in the day, about 9pm Nigeria time. Let us see 8f this carnage will stop.

I like indicators that will take me out of the market if the environment looks too threatening.

PRE-MARKET FOR 2 JANUARY IS DOMINATED BY BITCOIN STOCKS!!!

Is this the year of the bitcoin? Or like the Chinese, we are having year of the "DRAGON" bull.

For me, I drink, I sleep, I think, I talk and I love the stock market, especially the Global side.

BITCOIN STARTING FROM 2024 WITH A BIG BANG
The local platforms still seems not ready for this business.

With present Government now saying nothing wrong with bitcoin, I hope TROVE will take the initiative and bring bitcoin back!!! But, I think drivewealth is the one dictating what they can do. So if drivewealth says No, it is No.

Realy what made me chose Trove then was the availability of trading bitcoin then, let us wait and see if any local platform will bring bitcoin trading back!!! If it does I am sure it will attract a lot of Customers.

Today, we are doing something funny, we want to show, how the whole of 2024 will look like using a month by month Forcast. For example January will be bullish for both Nigeria and Global stocks, subsequently there is high possibility of Nigeria stocks performing badly for most of 2024 (too mant stocks in overbough zone). The Global side will see more bullish movements. Sorry, chart is for our supporting/sponsoring members only.

WHICH STOCKS/SECTORS WILL DO WELL IN 2024
As we round up the year, we need to start positioning ourself for 2024.Tech sector are still good but we need to focus more on sectors that will benefit from lower rate (so we attach list of industries again) as this will be our focus in 2024.

TODAY IS A PROFIT TAKING DAY
We took some profit. Still in the spirit of the defensive, we bought a printing stock. ^ARC.

Now, our scanners tell us what to do real time. We normally have our list prior to market opening, but if the market change it for us "so market can change it for you" like today, then we rely on our scan plus some little fundamentals.

Wishing all happy new year in advance. And we should try and build a strong portfolio. I Sam a portfolio of a Nigerian person, very strong stocks in the portfolio, I was happy to see a real investor. See some of the content: NVDA, PEPSI, AGNC, BAC, jp Morgan. IBM etc. The person has a portfolio of stocks that can never go out of business and will continue to deliver divedends/capital appreciation for years. This type of portfolio should be our target in the long run.

MARKET IS DULL TODAY
It is okay. Today we picked up a cool dividend paying covered call stock? Our members have the name. This type of stock are what give us the audacity to be posting everyday.

My portfolio that has this stock is smaller in value than what I have in Chaka. However, this smaller value portfolio delivers better returns than my Chaka portfolio. Why, the Nigerian APP are making too much shakara, they do not have many stocks and commissions are so high. And among the local APPS I love chaka (1st choice) and Trove (2nd choice). However I trade on chaka regulary, Trove I don't use much as I will only return there when I can comfortable trade with a minimum of $50 equivalent on every trade as this is the value that will reduce the effect of the cut troath commission of minimum of $0.50 or 1.5% (whichever is higher).

MARKET NOT THAT BAD- FOR SOME OF US, THERE IS NO NEED TO CHANGE A WINNING TEAM
We need to control our emotions of always taking small profits. However, if my stock losses 8% from the highest price ever achied by my stock, I will take some profits or sell outrightly.

MARKET WILL NOW RETURN TO NORMAL

After the pain comes the enjoyment. Market is like making "EBA" you want to pour in the Harris when the water is hot!!! So we need to look for the hot sectors before the water cools down. Water has boiled today, but some sectors were getting hot already: semiconductor, Finance, Health, communication/tech generally. So, the floor is now open for the bull run to start.

THIS IS PART OF WHAT WE SHARED EARLY MORNING TODAY

There is no need to hurry in the current market environment, we all know we expect the bulls, but if the trend is still down we wait. Semiconductor, transport, communication, finance, technology industries are still strong. We will come up with update later in the day if we observe any unusual developments.

TODAY IS ONE OF THOSE DAYS WHEN THE MARKET KEEP YOU IN A STATE OF SUSPENSE?

It is not easy to decide if to run or stay in the market? In the word of Linda Raschke, "there are days when the market will make you loose your senses and see things you cannot comprehend", but all that we know is that there will be tommorrow, we wait and we do what we know right thereafter (take losses, wait till things become normal and then buy)

We are still in the spirit of playing defensive strategy and looking for something to pick for the coffee can, funny enough KO is looking good when last I look at it, equally I may check F(Ford motors). But considering the fact that we expect a bullish market after this dolldrum is over, I may not be willing to be too conservative!!! But again after the FED announcement we will see what the market will do again!!! This is a time that confirms that it is not easy to make money in tge stock market?

Can we see what is happening to oil? It seems to be trading below the Nigeria Government budget price!!! This is the reason why, I may not be interested in the Nigeria market at the moment!!!

THE MARKET IS STILL RISKY
The inflation data is not convincingly low enough!!! So market see not to be too happy. Due to this we want to see what will happen after the news has died down. Next is the Fed giving their opinion again as to when rate cut will start.

Final word in the market is still exercise caution!!!

TODAY STARTED WITH DEFENCE THEN LATER IN THE DAY MOVING TO ATTACK
Sold some our position in Mara. Then switch to PLTR.

The tech industry provided us with a number of options " CVNA" etc. But we always like a trusted, top of the pack stock.

Not a bad day. Today showed that the market obeys technical analysis, DXY bounced from a demand point, but generally dollar suppose to be in downtrend.

The fact that Russell survived the day is an indication that stock market is still in uptrend.

TAKING SOME PROFITS OFF THE TABLE ON EQUITIES THAT JUMPED UP RECENTLY WILL NOT BE A BAD IDEA
Market is bullish for the medium term. However, where we see our position threatened, we may have no option but to take some profits.

For example with 19% in my pocket from MARA (bought just about one week plus), if I see another 10% added today and come tommorow, I see a bearish signal l, plus a bearish pattern, I will take my profit wait on the sideline or probably use part of the profit to buy one of Warren Buffet beaten down stocks for my coffee can portfolio.

LOOKING AT THE CHARTS THIS MORNING 2 DEC 2023
I am amazed at the opportunities in this market. The market is returning to the way it was when stocks were very bullish.

I see this forum bubbling again. For us old timers, we have made some gains at the beginning of this bullish market, and also as we are always in the market we know where the profits are!!!

So we say welcome to the returning member and new ones in advance. What I tell people is know whom to take advice from, take most of your recommendations from the person that is consistent and knows the market like the back of his hand.

On a paring note, let us look at the XME CONSTITUENTS, silver has good momentum, but since most gold stocks are also into silver, I will be comfortable with a stock that produces both. BTG and if you are risk averse, go for GGN.
