What does Buhari have to do with our young girls being unable to close their legs or our youth saying no to premarital sex or prostitution. Far be it from me to do that. I’m only trying to point out some erroneous teachings about Christmas. For instance, The Bible teaches in Matt 2:1 that wise men came to Jerusalem. However everyday believe is that 3 wise men came to Jesus.

List of Christmas myths & corresponding truth.

MYTH #1: Christmas on December 25th is found in the Bible.
TRUTH: There is no celebration of the birth of Christ in the Bible on any day, but began through human tradition to be celebrated about 250 AD in the spring and on December about 325 AD.

TRUTH: Although Joseph did not have sex with Mary until after she gave birth to Jesus, Mary and Joseph had many other children: “Is not this the carpenter’s son? MYTH #5: They spent the night in a separate building like a barn where the animals were kept.
TRUTH: There was no room on the upper floor of the house so they spent the night on the main floor of the house where the animals were kept inside the house. Most ancient Jewish houses had a common area on the main floor, including a manger where animals ate and slept at night, and an upper room where everyone slept. It is possible that there was a separate barn, but this would often be attached to the house directly.
MYTH #6: There were three wise men.
TRUTH: There were three gifts, gold frankincense and myrrh. There may have been 10 wise men, we don’t know, but each of them likely brought some gold frankincense and myrrh. Since these were common currency items of value, each wise man, regardless of the actual number, brought a little of all three.
MYTH #7: The star of Bethlehem shone over the manger the night Jesus was born.
TRUTH: The wise men did not come to Jerusalem until after Mary had purified on day 33 after the birth of Jesus. It was at that point the star began to move slowly ahead of the wise men till it hovered over the place Jesus was located. This means that the star was not hovering over Jesus the night he was born. The star shone over a house, not a barn or an inn. "And they came into the house and saw the Child with Mary His mother" (Matthew 2:11). It is never called "the star of Bethlehem", simply, "His star". The shepherds were directed by an angel (not a star) to the manger of Jesus the night he was born. The star led the "wise men from the east", who traveled at least 700 km from the Persian or Babylonian area, to the house of Joseph and Mary. This trip would take at least 30 days after the birth of Jesus when you average 25 km per day travel time. After Jesus had been circumcised on the 8th day in the temple, and Mary performed her purification on the 33rd day, Jesus may have been taken to Joseph's home in Nazareth and this is where the star led the wise men: “When they had performed everything according to the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own city of Nazareth.” (Luke 2:39). The star, therefore, might have shone over Nazareth, not Bethlehem. The flight to Egypt did not happen until after Mary's purification on the 33rd day. TRUTH: The shepherds came to the manger (Luke 2:8-10), but not the wise men came to Joseph's house. In fact, Herod orders the slaughter of the babies two years of age and younger. This means that the child would be well under two years old, in order that no error could be made in killing Jesus, but it also indicates that Jesus was older than a newborn.
MYTH #9: God wants Christians to remember and celebrate the birthday of Christ!
TRUTH: The scriptures do not tell us to celebrate the birth of Christ but to celebrate His death... and not once a year at "Easter" but every Sunday through the Lord's Supper. (Acts 20:7)
MYTH #10: Christ was born in 6 BC!
TRUTH: Josephus and other sources show Christ was born in 3/2 BC.
MYTH #11: Luke got it wrong because the census of Luke 2:1-3 occurred in 6 AD!

I as a person, strongly disagree with pastor oyakhilome’s views on dreams and therefore find his analogy very misleading.
Your dream is your spiritual monitor. It is a powerful commentary of what is going on positively or negatively in the spiritual realm. The answer provided by this pastor has once again demonstrated the shallow, harmful and simplistic knowledge of deep truths of the scriptures. The fact that God speaks to people through dreams cannot be contested. God spoke to Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus through dreams. In fact he was warned.

Matthew 2:13
And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

Even the wise men were warned in the dream.

Matthew 2:12
And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

Dreams are instructive. Dreams can prevent from danger. For example Abimelech was warned through dreams.

Genesis 20:3-6
But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife. But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation? Dreams can also guide you. Dreams can expose your future to you. Therefore, the fact that messages are carried through dreams cannot be contested. Dreams can give you revelations. But do not forget bad dreams also exist. One thing is clear here, the pastor has exhibited gross ignorance concerning certain important aspects of warfare or what goes on in form of life’s battles. It is clear that this pastor has very little knowledge of the deep things of scriptures. We hope he does not succeed in creating false confidence in the minds of vulnerable believers who would have sought for help if they knew how to come up with correct understanding and interpretation of certain deep dreams.

Eating in the dream can be interpreted in several ways simply because there are different type of dreams. There are dreams that harm. There are some dreams that educate you. There are some dreams that warn you. There are some dreams that are harmless or neutral. Just like somebody who works in the bank and finds himself counting money. It seems Pastor Chris is only aware of this type of dream. It is important to know that there are harmful dreams for which people should seek knowledge, go for counseling and handle the dreams through deliverance and spiritual warfare activities.

It is always safer to pray against any bad dream. You can easily identify a bad dream by paying attention to what happens at the end of the dream. Do you know that eating in the dream is one of satan’s strategies to plant infirmities, sickness, diseases and all kinds of troubles in a person’s life’s? Making reference to the trance that Peter had smacks of high level ignorance. To posit this as a parameter, for interpreting hidden or complex dreams, is not only harmful but mischievous. However, when you know what will keep you on the high way of victory, you will always apply the power in the blood of Jesus to cancel negative or demonic dreams. Positive confession alone will not do. I do hope that this pastor will not say that regular sex in the dream up to the point of seeing semen on the body is also harmless. May the Lord save us from ignorant pastors. My advice for such pastors is to stay on what they know and allow ministers who have received revelations and knowledge in other areas to minister to believers who are struggling with the problems like issue of incessant dream attacks. One thing is clear, the man with an experience is better than a company of people who can only come up with arguments.


The end time is a precarious season that is characterized by frightening increase as far as demonic activities are concerned. The greatest hazard of this generation stems from coming up with ignorance as regards the devices of the kingdom of darkness. We must not lose sight of the fact that the devil will do anything in his bid to attack humanity. Hence, Christian believers cannot afford to act like the proverbial ostrich that buries its head in the sand as if nothing is happening. Of course, the devil will be happy as long as you decide to remain ignorant concerning his devices and activities.

When people embrace ignorance, the devil will increase the tempo of his attacks and perpetrate wanton destruction while the season of ignorance lasts. Satan’s happiest moments are during the season of human ignorance. There is no denying the fact that the devil has invaded the realm of dreams leaving many attacked, assaulted and violated spiritually. The fact that bad dreams are real is an undeniable truth. There is heavy satanic invasion against humanity in this end times. We cannot afford to shy away from the fact that there are practically dream attacks.

In any case it is quite easy to rise up and say that bad dreams are harmless. Such a simplistic statement is nothing but a lame duck that leaves the person who makes the assertion a willing victim in the devil’s hand. The answer provided above is, at best, an opinion. Unfortunately, it is only one side of the coin. The other side of the coin has grave consequences on human destiny. Pastor Chris has not demonstrated any knowledge of deliverance and spiritual warfare. His submission smacks of spiritual buffoonery. Any believer who decides to go by the stipulated opinion is in serious danger. There are countless believers who face regular attacks in the dreams, if we are to dismiss the reality of demonic attacks, we are almost saying that demonic agents who operate in the realm of the dream are not doing anything harmful, whatsoever, to those who dream. If the words of the scriptures are true agents of darkness are aware that they have only a short time to fiercely attack people through their dreams.

Revelation 12:12
Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Such agents would only laugh hysterically when believers are told to dismiss dream attacks with a wave of the hand. The truth must be told that it is tragic when some leaders who are blind attempt to lead the blind.

Matthew 15:14
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

The result will be cataclysmic. There will be lots of damages when blind leaders rise up to mislead, rather than help the ignorant.

The danger here is that innocent believers will be misled. If some leaders are really aware of the consequences of peddling half truths, they would not have dismissed the reality of the consequences of having harmful dreams.

It amazes me that there are ministers who do not know that bad dreams, like sexual harassments, being under the pursuit of masquerades or being attacked by demonic personalities in the dream do not portend any danger whatsoever. Such ministers are only demonstrating monumental ignorance. While God can guide His children through positive dreams, it is possible to experience satanic invasion from the domain of darkness. Positive dreams can be used by God to guide, instruct and warn the believer. However, it is crystal clear that the devil is ever busy coming up with vicious attacks in the dream. The Bible tells us that one of the activities of agents of darkness is to plant evil seeds while men sleep.

But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

Believer’s who are well tutored as far as the basics of spiritual warfare and deliverance are concerned, will never joke with dream attacks.

Do not allow anyone to deceive you into believing that you can toy with your dreams. You must know how to identify bad dreams. It is always safer to pray against evil dreams than to ignore them.

The truth is that no one can pray too much. But, it is dangerous when under the guise of lack of knowledge, people make claims that bad dreams that are inimical to their total wellbeing do not exist. Lots of problems and infirmities have been planted in the lives of many through consuming liquid or eating food in the dream. It is an undeniable fact that the platform of the dream can be used by both God and satan. When God speaks to you through your dreams, you can be instructed. When the devil tries to attack you through dreams, it is your responsibility to make use of the weapon of deliverance and spiritual warfare to counter the wicked activities sponsored by the enemy.

I am glad you started your argument with 'I as a person...' Because it shows that all the stories you wrote here are borne out of your research and not by the leading of the Holy Spirit. If you found yourself eating in your dream, don’t be afraid. Wake up and begin to prophesy: “I was eating in my dream; therefore I shall always have food. I shall always have plenty!” Don’t wake up crying that someone has bewitched you in your dream, for you’re a new creation in* Christ Jesus, and every food you eat is sanctified by the Word of God and prayer. Besides, no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper, be it in your dream or in real life.

Bros, I have experience in eating in the dream, I know what it is and the effect in the life of a human being.

The Pastor did not even note that Peter was hungry before falling in to trance. The demonic eating in the dream we are talking about has got nothing to do with whether you ate before sleeping or not. If you like eat till you drop asleep.

First, let me say this: the Lord Jesus is aware of destruction that satan and his demon slaves and human agents are capable of; hence the Lord promises that if believers should eat or drink any poisonous thing, they shall not be harmed by it. This truth underscores the fact that humans can be harmed by eating, either in the physical or via dreams.

There is no reference in the Bible where God fed anyone in his or her dream. Pastor Chris is not thorough in his exposition primarily because he does little of meditation, but relies on concordance.The effect of his erroneous teaching plays out in falsehood as evidenced by the life of many of his followers. Their confessions and affirmations are not translating into realities.

What is Wrong With Eating in the Dream?

Before I state the effects of eating in dreams, I wish to draw the attention of believers to an interesting observation about satan..

In the book of Genesis, the Bible presents satan as a serpent, but in the book of Revelation satan is revealed as a dragon with seven heads and ten horns. A serpent is no match for a fire, even water, spitting dragon. The implication and the message therein is that satan is getting more vicious and sophisticated. Satan is becoming a dangerous being that humans cannot match in wits, tricks and operations.

The Lord Jesus knew this and thus remarked that there were yet many things to teach His followers...but when the Holy Spirit comes, He would guide us into all truth.

There are many aspects of spiritual life, especially wafare,that the Bible says nothing about.

For example, the Bible does not tell us the implication of having sex in a dream. We are not told about eating in dreams, or what it means to fight animals - reptiles, dogs,etc. There is no where the Bible mentions the effects of seeing and pickiing snails in a dream. All these activities are satanic operations against humans to achieve certain goals.

However, the Bible tells us that satan is getting more sophisticated every day. Years ago, no one knew how to combine the name of Jesus with satanic powers to heal sicknesses and diseases as evidenced by the practice of human agents in shamanism. But now, such practice is common place.

The Body Of Christ as a whole owes the Holy Spirit much gratitude for arresting human agents of darkness who confess and reveal their practices against mankind. Without the confessions of these ex-occultists, many believers would still be stuck in their minds, pushing intellectualism.

So what are the ills of eating in dreams?

1. Human agents of darkness use the craft to afflict their victims with sickness.

2. Eating in dreams can be used to plant depression and discouragement to make their targets prayerless.

3. Sorcerers can drown their targets in the sea of near success syndrome. They usually do this when something good is coming to the oerson.

4. Eating in dreams can be used to initiate humans into withcraft. This class of witches are known as 'blind witch.'

5. Generally, eating in dreams is used to pollute believers and thus disqualify them for spiritual promotion. But this rarely works against the saints who are prayerful, because believers are not defiled by eating.

But careless and worldly believers are mostly affected by this craft. This plays out when the believer stops reading the Bible, stops relating with other believers, and inability to fast or stay true to his/her resolutions.

In conclusion, eating in dreams is bad. If the believer cannot reject foods in his/her dreams, it is an indication of a weak and fireless spiritual life.
