I am not surprised this is happening to him because he clearly laid the foundation for his misfortune. I still cannot understand why he arrogantly outlawed LAWMA (which was working quite well) only to replace with a whooping N75B (according to Tell Magazine) "Visionscape" which has unequivocally failed. Road Maintenance in Lagos also nose-dived and went to a complete halt! Many roads within Lagos metropolis have completely failed; all within a space of just three years! Road construction projects are not done with adequate planning & scheduling requirements to avoid inflicting too much suffering on Lagosians which is the case today with traffic congestion everywhere you turn to. IMO, Lagos was on a progressive trend when he took over but with what I see around, the retrogression is at an alarming rate. most of the high profile projects to which large sums of Lagos money has been sunk are now slowing down and gradually coming to a halt. There were working templates in place which in worst case could have been modified rather than the outright cancellation which was the case for most policies. Why do they always have to start afresh without minding the attendant cost and schedule impact? |
To BRF: Tar my street or go to jail! my street is unmotorable, no drainage system, hence constantly waterlogged yet i pay as much as 70k as tax. |
I want d constitution suspended so dat corruption can be dealt with squarely. Looters jailed and am sure d rest will flee dis country. Now, amongst d options available, I think only Buhari could do that. |

Someone please tell this guy to stfu and do his job. It will be very obvious for all to see after a few months in office whether or not he is taking EFCC to the previous or next level. |
Had a similar experience too where i lost about 3K and was told some cock n bull stories about applications on the phone (BB touch) when i complained in their office though was refunded with N400. A friend (staff) even helped but to no avail so i switched to Airtel and ever since, i havent experienced such miraculous disapperance of my credit balance. In my own case, na 0.00 i dey always see for my phone even when not in use. MTN is a fruad as far as I am concerned. |
It's simple, Government knows where the bads roads are; do they jump from the sky to their offices? I do my job and pay my tax; they should simply do theirs and not ask me to do it for them. They aren't working for free, they get paid! So why do we always defend Government for their ineptitude. Are we supposed to be happy when they score 2 out 10? If we are talking of small bad portions of roads, then fine but not when the entire stretch of a road is in a state of coma . Gov Fash should just attempt going to using the Mushin-Isolo-Jakande-Ejigbo, road. At least he doubles as the Works Commisioner ![]() I tire for Nigerians ooo. Suffering and smilling continues with some paid psycophants ready to take up for daring to ask for your rights. Nonsense! |
I have asked before and I will ask again; what is Fashola really doing in Lagos with all the money the state generates? What was the huge debt incurred by the state used for? Fashola has failed in road rehab and maintenance! |
Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set ya free! Must you rely on other people's interpretation of the Bible? Must you seek peace from a man that has no peace? Must you rely on someone else to tell you what to do? Must you worship a fellow human being that does practically everything you do? Must you believe what they tell you? God created all men equally with mind, body, soul and brain. Cant you use yours? What are your sense organs for if you cant read and interprete the Bible for yourself? Simply believe in yourself. God has deposited enormous power in every man if only he could accept, believe and use it. Of course, we could listen to cousels from the wise ones, but counsels are never to be forced. Take such counsel, weigh it properly to decide if it's worth taking. Enough said! |
It is quite a good development but I'm worried about its full implementation. A lot of Fashola's laws are facing the problem of implementation. On cursory look, I think their is the tendency for rent increment! |
he is just a blo-ody nincompoop. I never took him serious in the first place. I remember the abuses he rained on Atifku during the 3rd term saga. I expected him to have been dealt with before now! |
saintneo: Where are these developments you referred to because I cant seem to see any apart from the unregulated GSM we carry about. I still use the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, benin-ore expressway etc and they were left worse than what obasanjo met. Except these your developments are still in the pipeline sha!!! ![]() |
The memories of sweet delicacies: pounded cocoa yam (red cocoa yam) with vegetable soup back in the village (osuke-ota) in those yester years will remain evergreen. we would sit around her in the make-shift kitchen taking the flames into our eyes (mixed feelings of pain and pleasure) to be sure we wont miss the kick off, After lunch, she would take us to the stream for a bath and ensure we had our siesta before allowing us to join the other boys in the school field for football, Onikoyi eso o, may your soul rest in peace. We miss you gaan ni! |
I hold my comments until the so-called tape is played and aired, but seriously, Mustapha may not be far from the truth afterall! |
I feel no sense of sympathy towards this man, I hope his soul finds peace. He threw principles to the gutter when he abandoned his party's presidential candidate in the court, officially drew the rug from Buhari's feet, accepted the pot of soup from Yar'adua and joined the so-called GNU which ensured the silence of any meaningful opposition as at that time. I wonder why some old men would do 'anything' for money. Now, where is he? |
''Forget that stuff, Daddy GO must have promised them a good share of the church dividends for them to pipe down. Come to think of it, its morally unfair for Daddy GO to be cruising around in a private jet bought by the church while the kids and the children of the late founder are left with no one caring for them. This chop alone attitude kills and distroys trust. Adeboye should do the needy by ensuring that he keeps them close and carries them along becos it will actually cost him or RCCG nothing to ensure they are fine. End of Story!'' The above is well said. We are all humans! |
Bringing the whole of this saga back to life will be damn hurting to the family and loved ones especially when they are probably almost forgetting about the pain. Anyway sha, maybe they will take consolation in finding out the truth! |
If only Nigeria could teach these ones hard lessons to tame the current corruption 'trainees' and 'professionals' already warming up to take their own share. ![]() |
Where are Jack Bauer, Tony Almeida, and Chloe O'brian. I think we need these guys come n deal with this nightmare called BH ![]() |
Should he (Ajimobi) get working with his private funds? Akala is being alleged to have looted the state finances dry and I think it is something to be talked about. As for work, what could you do in the shoes of Ajimobi if you met things seriously messed up? It happened in Edo when Oshiomole took over the reigns so one is not surprised ![]() |
Bros, please agree but on one condition; that you are a big 'mofo' ![]() |
IMO, Gov Fash is indeed trying, at least making some efforts but he has been overly overrated! I curse each time I drive through Isolo - Ikotun road. |
BRF: Please, priority right now should be on roads as the rains are now in torrents. All unfinished road projects need urgent attention as i couldnt but curse silently each time i ply the jakande - ejigbo axis of the long mushin-isolo-ikotun road which appears abandoned at the moment. I cant imagine paying such heavy tax on monthly basis and at the same time sent to the mechanic often times to change vehicle parts as a result of bad roads. with all sense of responsibility, please establish working machineries that would prosecute any erring contractor who derive pleasure in dragging government's name in the mud (if that is the case anyway) Thank you. |
I cant find any of James Hardley Chase novels in the list. Those are d'bomb to me any day! |
I did not watch the |
for me, it's a pack of rubbish albeit hell-fire. sucks my money without working. I have abandon the modem in my wardrobe!!! |
This is one step in the right direction. Those dumb-heads must be taught the proper way of doing things even if they have to be spoon-fed over and over again. Nothing is practically of interest to them except the 'juices' that go along with the offices. Fools of the highest order! |
God would have 12 years and i cannot point to any 'real' achievement other than the 'unregulated' GSM system we carry about! I cant shout! |
