What is it in a birthday? That special day in one's life... The beginning of a journey of a million miles.. A journey that starts with the cry of a baby and the joy of a mother.. A Wednesday it was like any other, there I was so innocent and pure, Thank you Lord for bringing me this far, Lord make me an instrument of peace in this world, Give me the wisdom to distinguish right from wrong, Give me the grace to walk with the confidence that i am not alone, Give me a mind that constantly thinks of good, Give me the heart to love my fellow men as you have loved us, Give me lips that speak the truth and speaks hope into the lives of others, Give me hands through which i will change the world, Give me the undying desire to be a source of happiness to those around me I know i am not perfect, but i try to be better with each passing day, Bless my family, bless my friends, bless my country... May today be the start of something new in my life. May the road in front of me be ever straight, The sky above me be ever blue.. May the grass beneath my feet be ever green And the people who love me be ever true. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEE! ok now to the second part.. I remember when i was a little kid, i asked for a bicycle as a birthday gift. I grew a little older and asked for Playstation. Then i grew a little older and asked for a laptop. Lol Well what would be the best birthday gift i could ask for now A JOB INTERVIEW/OPPORTUNITY !, yep I'm at that stage in my life (from bicycle to ps2 to laptop to job) So I'm going to deviate from the usual "give me likes, its my birthday" and step it up a notch A quick resumè I have a bachelor's degree in electrical /Electronic Engineering (2nd class upper division) I consider myself as having a good degree of intelligence. Highly meticulous, observant and i love solving problems and "thinking" (yeah i love thinking creatively) Fast learner too, excellent interpersonal skills I love reading, playing chess and swimming... At some point in time i researched speed reading and mental photography because i had so many books to read and so little time My E-library contains hundreds of books ranging from Medicine, to Engineering to Law, Psychology, Computer science, anything you can think of (lol) Have some knowledge of 3d Modelling, php, html, css, tintirin knowledge of java and java script, Have a great sense of humour and my memory is quite okay too I have always wanted to change the world, in my own little way. To be a great person, a great father, a great husband, a great son, a great friend. .. I hope God grants me the grace to achieve all that.. Anyone that would love to interview (Super birthday gift) me can just send me a pm... ![]() God bless you all And thanks to Oga Seun for this awesome platform |

while everyone here is waiting for the results of the first stage i would suggest you start preparing yourself for subsequent stages, know the basics of your course, read as much as you can about the company, their competitors, their values etc work on your vocabulary and confidence, develop a mind map of so that you can cover as much ground as possible, an example is the one i attached to this post listen to news regularly, keep up with the economic happenings in Nigeria, network with current staff of pwc and get as much info and advice as you can. i can gurantee that if you follow these steps meticulously you would increase your chances of being given a job offer.. i didnt apply for pwc, i'm just giving the little advice i can (at least from the way i wouldve handled the situation).. goodluck to everyone

Victosin09:i'd upload my book folder to my dropbox and drop the link when i'm done. will also add any other material i consider important too |
BlackHummer:yh thats why i added it to the last part of my post about ability to quickly read and understand, these are things one can work on regardless of intelligence, though you might not be as fast as one with a little higher intelligence. ish is that people hardly read stuff or try to improve on certain abilities except there is a need for it. ive been playing with memory, speed reading and cognitive stuff since as far as i can remember, just to continue improving my skills i currently read at about 550wpm (which i hope to improve on ) with good comprehension and retention and its cos i read books on speed reading, mental photography and the likes, have cognitive and arithmetic apps i use like neuronation just to excercise the brain, as one seeks to improve daily you discover certain things just begin to come naturally and your brain functions faster and better |
kaysunnex:dont know the videos you're talking about. this are just normal stuff anyone can know if he wants |
Phorlorunso:Most tests are timed, so its not a new thing, one should learn to work as swiftly and efficiently as possible...its a skill one can learn if you want to... And not just waiting for aptitude tests to prompt you to practice... Sadly most people wait for job tests before they dust their arithmetic skills |
Johnpaul88:There are "quicker" ways, same method, but quicker, most of the "approximation" questions can be solved without calculator.. In all doing some fast calculations in your head can remove loss of times by pressing calculator... Imagine finding the ratio between two sets of numbers sets A and B A=23654 +4466 +8544 +2364 +9126 B= 12598 + 35419 + 42188 + 5848 Using calculators wud slow you down.. Till u notice the pattern in the numbers.. They are of the forn 23600 + 4400+8500+2300+9100 which wud easily give =23+4+8+2+9=46 plus the little numbers inbetween that add up to 2 approx = 48k The second=12 +35+42+5 =94 plus the little numbers that add up to 2 approx =96k Your ratio wud tgen be 48 : 96 which is 1:2 Calculator will make you a little slower in this case considering its an approximation case Or a case where you are the find the approximate percentage yearly increase when something increases from 6.7 to 8.1 in 6 years.. All you simply need do is total increase is 8.1/6.7 =1.209 Then find the sixth root of that Why cos when something increase 20% for example per year Means in the first year the new figure is 1.2 * old figure 1.2 being same as 120% being same as 20% increase Second year will be thatvalue times 1.2 again... Third year will be that value times 1.2 again... So in 6 years the new value will be 1.2^6 times initial value So in our case x^6 shud give 1.209 Hence the need for finding the 6th root which wud be 1.032 (calculator) So percentage increase per year is the ". 032" * 100 = 3.2% you won't be needing a calculator for this part obviously.. Two questions of this sort will take you approximately 1 and a few seconds to solve both.... Giving you more time to spend on more hassling questions PERSONAL speed matters too and your ability to understand the question quickly and develop your solving algorithm (steps)... |
5555K:Lolz baba i hail o |
lantessy:There is no need for that.. Lol But on a more serious note, scoring 100% isn't such a difficult task |
Though I didn't apply for pwc, it isn't so hard to score at least 90% in verbal and 100% in quantitative, one just needs to learn some time-saving techniques, I've done similar stuff in the past and i can say that the time limit is just ok.. The verbal is actually easier than the quant if one knows what he's doing, cos they usually give a few "dash" questions that can be answered in an instance and this wud help you save time for other questions, sometimes its not all about practicing and practicing, one has to develop time saving techniques. Develop a thought process, learn to read fast and carefully, also perform basic checks and arithmetic in your head. Cos sometimes calculators actually slows one down... Good luck to everyone and if anyone needs anyhelp I'd be glad to offer if within my boundaries ![]() |
wumiwumi100:How market? Abi na price of dollar na him cause this one too lolz. Can't wait for you 2nd leg thread |
GurlFriend:what you fail to understand is that the "mama" buys things from the market or other places that are directly affected by reduced value of naira. so the only way for her to continue to survive is to increase her income (price of goods she sells) so as to offset the increased expenditure she incurres from other basic wants and needs |
Kejimylove:Well look for folk that have newer laptops, windows 7, 8 etc Or find a way to install the flash player Just keep searching.. If you can't get by Thursday and push turns to shove, then mention me.. Only mention me if all hope seems lost and deadline is treacherously near... Goodluck |
With the way things are one increase will lead to another increase and thats how things start getting worse. Considering the price of egg to have increased, expect an increase in the price of egg rolls. |
Probably due to the fall in the value of the naira, prices of common goods have increased in the last few weeks. The aim of this thread is to report such increases as they occur in your neighborhood and if possible, find the average percentage inflation as well as its effects on salary earners Would list them out here as more comments are made. Eggs - normally sold for 30 naira bought a few days at 40 naira A bag of sachet water normally sold for 100 naira now 150. Add you own observations |
