Ask any North indigene or anybody who lives in the North now! Only Igbos fight them back along with the Christian indigenes, while you yaribanza cowards run and hide in army barracks like the cowards that you are.
If Awo was shot by Ojukwu, your region WOULDN'T HAVE DONE SHIT. Now go and cry in a corner.

I have told you to instruct your people to shoot the Alaafin so we can replay the same scene and see if the Yorubas won’t do shit.

Save me your rhetorics, the Igbos whether docile or non docile have been murdered in the Hundreds/thousands multiple times. No other tribe had ever faced such civilian motivated Massacre before not even the minorities.

Rise up against the North in Kano today if you have the balls, they will play back the movie of the old for you uncouth people. When the Arewa youth gave an ultimatum, the Igbo shivers coz they remembered the cruel agony their ancestors went through in the hands of the Northerners decades back.

They take for granted our peaceful nature and intellect. We are warlords too. Lol we conquered the Ashanti army when we went to war with them, we conquered Dahomey, Tapa, our territories extend all the way to Togo, majority of the kingdoms to the west paid us tributaries, don’t get it twisted.

The Igbos are even having the audacity to talk simply because the Yorubas don’t like mocking them with their numerous death.

Now we will start giving their true historical happenings to them in its raw form no matter how graphic it may seems. They deserve not to be treated fairly, coz they wouldn’t Have treated us fairly if we had been in their shoes.

Their saving grace is that Yorubas don’t mock people with their shortcomings. We shouldn’t extend such benevolence to a tribe like the Igbos.

grin grin Yeah warriors, indeed!!!

These northerners have been slaughtering ibos long before the country attained her independence whenever it suits their fancy which must account for your now unabashed admittance of respect for your historical-cum-perennial tormentors.

It's for this reason that i have always entertained the belief that the only language you guys comprehend is unbridled VIOLENCE which has always been the way the northerners chose (and still do) to interact with the ibos.

I guess the northerners know something (about ibos) that we yorubas, inspite of our so-much acclaimed sophistication are ignorant of.

The Igbo man deserves not to be treated with love. The Northerners understood the game which explained why the Igbos feared them so much.

Yorubas are welcoming and always trying to be peaceful and politically correct. Doing that for a tribe like the Igbos is counterproductive.

We shouldn’t treat them like we treat ourselves. Those guys need to be treated like they truly deserve.

Fulani junta killed Abiola, Kudirat and exiled lots of Nadeco members. The best they did was riot and attacked innocent Northerners on the street, until the Aboki soldiers swept in and killed them like rats all over the West. Afonja tried to smuggle in arms to fight a Abacha yet failed, they tried to hijack a plane to protest the June 12 anullment, yet failed. Na just pity Aboki pity una with that OBJ presidency (even though he was a stooge to the North).

When Ojukwu returned from exile, why couldn't the North kill him? cause they had respect for the Igbos. Yaribanza una no reach? Awon oloshi cheesy

3 million of our butchered ancestors are still wailing in agony.

With countless thousands sacrificed to the Fulani gods through series of civilian coordinated massacre.

For now, you all hide behind the power of the North to insult us and we clearly understand you have support for the North.

Has Asari ever fought any war? No....So, when war vetarans are talking he should keep quiet.

You stood against Nigeria and suffered that much casualty? What’s the big deal?

That war is not war per say, it’s just genocide.

Infact thank God that the war was commanded by a Christian Gowon, a war where your enemies were giving you food is what you termed war? A war where they said no victor no vanquished just for peace sake is what you termed war?

Biafra war is just like trying to bring back a rebellious child and not a war you wage against your enemy.

Besides Biafra war that you lost, what war has the Igbo people ever waged even now or during the 1700s - present? The Igbos have been the tribe that suffered civilian massacre most in the history of Nigeria.

Yorubas have dealt with the Hausas multiple times in the SW but the Igbos are always scared such that whenever they are murdered in Kano, they will rather run and hide in the East without retaliation.

You are all cowards. Just make noise online without tangible impact.

However the result of that will be countless Igbo in body bags that will be transported back to the East.

Awo is in the league of the Alaafin of Oyo in how honorable the Yorubas view him. Now imagine for a seconds that an Igbo shoot Alaafin and people in the East are flaunting the banner of his dead body?

Shodeinde was even more loved
Awolowo had more clout that Akintola yes, but there's no way Akintola wasn't loved by a loyal session of the Yorubas, especially the Ibadan people.

If Ojukwu had Awo shot, patapata na only riot una for do small, maybe few Igbos would have been killed. But a much more prepared Igbo populace would have evened the score in Lagos and Ibadan cause we had more officers and men after the North. Don't get fooled by the fact that the North massacred Igbo officers and civilians as weakness, the North were even more scared of Igbo domination and another possible coup from the Igbos so they had to act fast and strike when Igbos were not prepared. And it didn't help that Ironsi was a buffoon who went about trying to pacify the aggrieved Northerners instead of rallying the Ibo officers and men to defend him for a possible counter-coup.

Do you know the men and officers who crushed your "operation wetie" were predominantly Igbos led by captain Nwobosi? I laugh in mandarin if you think you would have done anything short of make noise if Awo was shot.[/s]

Stop mentioning politically backed Wetie. That’s strictly politics between Akintola backed Federal faction and Awolowo.

That is politics.

The Hausa have been massacring igbos right from time, they first started in 1945. No one fear the Igbos, a lot of them have been suyanized multiple times.

Check the history of massacre in Nigeria and you will see the North have murdered the igbos countless times while the igbos run cowardly back to the East.

Why don’t you guys retaliate against the North during the countercoup in the street of the core-North?

So you think the Igbos can retaliate against the Yorubas in the west if we want to murder you all in 1966? Which military? The one backed by the Hausas or what? You are saying rubbish.

I hate fantasies and this kind of discussion is just rubbish coz I want you to rise now and instruct the Igbos to murder Oni of Ife or Alaafin of Oyo today and see what will happen.

Una no reach!

Ojuku said more than this during the time preceding the war. He spoke of how he will exterminate Nigeria within 3 month and was shouting around in the media.

After the war, several millions of his people were butchered while he ran away leaving his people in languish and agony.

—Banjo that led the Biafran takeover of mid-west is a Yoruba.
—Benjamin the scorpion that command the murder of several of your soldiers barbarically is a Yoruba.
—The Biafran force surrendered to Obasanjo a Yoruba man.
—Awo is the intellectual that exterminated thousands of you with just a pen and his intellect in changing the currency.

Igbos will always shout, but the Yorubas know how to deal with them.

Ask about Oyo empire and the Ibadan coalition. Even when our ancestors are conquering lands, the Igbos are still in the bush climbing trees.

If Ojukwu had Awolowo shot, NOTHING would have happened! forget the noise. The West was easily the weakest region in Nigeria at the time, you had no negotiating power, no army of loyal officers and men, nobody of high reputation to call the shots, and worst of all your region was occupied by Northern troops. The worst case scenario would have been a massive civilian furore in the mold of the "operation wetie", and nothing more. There's a reason you couldn't do shIt unlike the North when some of your officers along with Akintola (who was just as important a figure as Awolowo) were killed in that coup.

Lol. Walahi if Ojuku has shot Awolowo, several thousands of Igbos would have been murdered in the western region. The Northern soldiers won’t be able to do anything against the mob coz they will even support it secretly.

Stop mentioning Akintola, he is not loved by the Yorubas and shouldn’t be mentioned ever in the league of Awolowo. The only thing standing of Akintola’s legacy is the LAUTECH namer after him. That’s the only saving grace of the Igbos that time coz Yorubas don’t even care about him.

Even if it is within for 1 day, illegitimacy remains illegitimacy and Ojukwu made it clear that the military hierarchy was should be respected and Brig. Ogundipe a yoruba who was the most senior officer at then should be installed in Lagos.

The basic truth, remains the Ojukwu never took orders from Gowon and the prison where Awo was locked was within his region where governed as a military head.

It’s not under his control. They haven’t even know the whereabouts of the corpse of Ironsi when Awolowo was released. So how could Ojukwu had the control of a federal prison 5 days after the president went missing.

Do you think Ironsi death was confirmed on the date of the counter coup? No, he was kidnapped and went missing and it’s was all speculation of his death until they were able to confirm it days later.

Is there a war when Awolowo was released? Or you don’t see the date of the news on the medium? So British supported Gowon that they don’t even know pre-war? Awo was released only 5 days after Gowon took power? So British and American press will jeopardize the integrity they’ve been building since 1860s for Gowon? So you are now relying on a New York paper to tell you what happened in your own country? The simple question to ask how is it possible that Gowon was already releasing Awolowo that in prison in the East, less than one week after he came to power? The East did not recognise Gowon as head of state. Gowon simply had no powers to release Awo at that time.

Dont worry about Ojukwu and us Igbos, stop crying more than the bereaved

Shut up! Don’t disturb me with this jargons.

Bring one news from a reputable media source that claimed Ojuku released Awolowo. A reputable media source.

Don’t you bring that rubbish statement from Ojuku here. Bring from newspaper that have existed before 1966 to give us a better view of the purity of the news. At least Ojuku releasing Awolowo will be a breaking news and he will do photo ops to showcase that. Which new medium covered the release? Where is the video? Which news journal documented it? Have you ever asked yourself this question?

If you can provide any source within the league of the New York Times, The Guardian, Britishpathe, and etc that are international news that have existed since the 1860s here, then I will personally apologize to you and delete all the news I‘ve posted.

Note: The video is from Britishpathe, they are affiliated to Reuters then and that video is from their archive. They are British video reporting platform that documented the First World War too. So you should know they have been around for a long time.

Foolish man sacrificed his people, went to war without food, lost the war, ran away disguised like a woman, and blamed his enemy for not giving him food and hence reason for the loss of war.

Below is the New York Times and The Guardian prints of 1966 that clearly showed Gowon Released Awolowo. They narrated that Awo drove to Gowon’s office after the helicopter brought him from Calabar prison. (Check the 4th Image). The video is posted in the next post.

Infact he not only released Awolowo, he released Enahoro, Lateef Jakande, Samuel Onitiri, Sunday Ebiotoma, and Michael Omishade the same day.

Watch the video you posted well. Awolowo was arriving at a venue in car to meet Gowon. Is it possible for Gowon to be releasing an Awolowo who was already free to be driving about in car? Its common sense. Awolowo was already a free man in this video

I told you guys to shut up and stop disgracing Ojuku with the rubbish you always post online.

Below is the New York Times and Guardian newspaper prints of 1966 that showed Gowon released Awolowo. Remember they are both American and British newspaper.

This is what is written there for you to understand better:
Excerpts from the paper:
—Aug 2nd 1966 – Possibly a consensus to southern opinion was Colonel Gowon’s promise to look into the early release of political prisoners. The most important of these is Chief Awolowo, the popular Yoruba leader who was imprisoned for 10 years in 1962 for treasonable Felony. He was a campaigner against Northern domination in the old regime and his release would not be popular in the North.

—August 3rd 1966 – On his part, Colonel Gowon’s decision to release so controversial a southern politician Chief Awolowo seems to show a desperate need to placate Southern opinion. At independence, when the Northern people’s congress shared power with the largely Ibo National Council of Nigerian Citizens, the odd men out were the Yorubas of the west. Their discontent led to the 1962 crisis in which the Yoruba leader, Chief Awolowo was imprisoned for Treason.

—August 3rd 1966 – The new Nigerian regime formed Yesterday by Lieutenant Colonel Gowon, the Army chief of Staff, after an army mutiny, today announced the release of leading civilian political prisoners, including chief Awolowo and Chief Enahoro. The other four political prisoners whose release was announced today were named Lateef Jakande, Samuel Onitiri, Sunday Ebiotoma, and Micheal Omishade.

—August 4th 1966 - Chief Awolowo and Anthony Enahoro today promised to help Lieutenant Colonel Gowon, leader of the new Nigeria military regime in Nigeria, in any way that would bring peace to the country. Rumors continued to circulate in Lagos that the former Head of State Major-General Ironsi, had been killed by the rebels. General Ironsi was kidnapped last Friday and his whereabouts are unknown.

Ojuku is a modafuka that played on the intelligence of the Igbos to sell to them a reason to hate Awolowo so he can blame him for the war loss. Foolish man sacrificed his people, went to war without food, lost the war, ran away disguised like a woman, and blamed his enemy for not giving him food and hence reason for the loss of war.

Well Nnamdi Kanu is following his footsteps of propaganda.
