Politics / Rochas Okorocha Supports Buhari For 2019, Calls Nnamdi Kanu A "Mad Man" by Youngadvocate(m): 3:06pm On Oct 22, 2017
Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, has taken a swipe at the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, calling him a mad man.

Rochas Okorocha said this during an interview with the Sun news where he also stated that he would support president Muhammadu Buhari should the President contest in the 2019 Presidential election.

“These young men seeking relevance as a livelihood and to tell you how daft some people can be, any mad man can just rise one day and lead a senseless agitation and he’d get followers.

“Even the way IPOB was handled by the government wasn’t right. I kept telling the government that this young man, Kanu Nnamdi, is inconsequential in the matter- treat him like who he really is.

“But now he’d been given some national attention branding the whole Igbo as IPOB members and it’s the reason for the quit notice some gave our people in the North. The matter is laughable. You cannot imagine me, Rochas being asked by IPOB that let’s go to war and I follow.

“That’s the greatest insult to people of the east. Even if you come today and start a church you name ‘Kill Every Human Being Church’, some people will still join you. There are always people for everything you do. I would have handled it differently.”

“I have so many windows open in 2019 as I wait for Mr. President to make his declaration, I want to be politically relevant and I have made the decision never to watch my country sink”, Okorocha told Sun.

On his support for President Buhari, he stated: “If President Buhari declares to run for the office again in 2019, I will support him, because the man has a character to develop Nigeria. He has a thick skin that we need.

“We have a faulty foundation and I see President Buhari as that man who can build the foundation that we need. But I don’t see him as someone who will build this nation with a fantastic finishing with nice furniture.

“He’s just going to build a solid foundation upon which success and prosperity for the land shall be accomplished. And that’s where people like me would come in.”

When will these people eventually receive sense?

Can't the APC for once put aside their useless propaganda and insensitivity in playing on people's emotions and engage in real governance?

How would this do an inch of good to silencing the current Biafra agitation largely undertaken by young "pained" people?

If there's any iota of dignity and selflessness in these people, they should have commenced Restructuring process asap

Politics / Buhari Approves Payment Of Pension To Pardoned Retired Biafra Police Personnel by Youngadvocate(m): 7:14pm On Oct 18, 2017
President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the payment of pension for police officers who received presidential pardon during President Olusegun Obasanjo’s first regime in 2000 after they served in the Biafran Police during the Nigeria Civil war.

This was contained in a statement by the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) which stated that 162 officers will be paid.

Also, 57 Next of Kin of those who are dead already who not been paid their death benefits will be paid in the first batch which will begin in Enugu on Friday the 20th of October, 2017.

The statement read in part, “The general public would recall that Nigeria witnessed an ugly civil war between July, 1967 and January, 1970 and as a result of that unfortunate period in our history, some members of the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police and the Paramilitary Officers who took part with the Secessionist were dismissed from the service.

“The dismissal of those officers was commuted to retirement in year 2000 through a Presidential Amnesty granted on 29th May, 2000 by the Administration of the then President, Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR.

“A verification exercise was conducted for the pardoned officers by the defunct Police Pension Office and recently PTAD on one hand and the Police Service Commission on the other.

“Despite the Presidential pardon and verification of these officers, many of them remained unpaid years after the pardon.

“However, the present administration under the able leadership of President, C-in-C of the Armed Forces, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has graciously given approval for the payment of pension entitlements to these officers and their Next of Kin.

“PTAD is commencing the payment of pension benefits to the retired war affected police officers on Friday 20th October, 2017 in Enugu.

“162 officers will be payrolled and 57 Next of Kin who have also not been paid their death benefits will be paid in the first batch.” Civil war officers demand payment of pension for 38 years January 3, 2017.

Politics / Re: “APC Is Drifting; No Member Is Happy” – Saraki by Youngadvocate(m): 6:05pm On Oct 16, 2017
Is this one a surprise?

Which sane Nigerian expects APC to last longer? A party that was a child of the circumstance; a circumstance which met the forceful desperation of the North and the greed of Southern political elites especially from the West; a party which eventually ascended to power through unprecedented stretch of blood-spilled, radical propaganda.

But I am sure, the north who are by far more politically crafty than our Southern political elites are already seeking alternative platform to ensure power is retained in the North.

With APC decimated, they may be turning over to the PDP who're to have a Northern candidate for the Presidential election in 2019. In as much as the President comes from the North, they're satisfied.

He's the President.

He has enormous powers. Nobody will stop him
But it will be rather unfortunate for Tony Nwoye because like Buhari brought misfortune to APC in Edo state during his election campaign visit, he will bring more damages to APC in Anambra state.

Edo APC was able to win by clear and wide rigging to cover shame and clinch power. That can never happen in Anambra state. The state is too peculiar in its politics.

And I make bold to say that any crowd that welcomes President Buhari in Anambra state is a rented one

The North still holds sway of power. It was only the intellectually deluded basked on those cheap propaganda the APC fed Nigerians in 2015.

We all know those chants of of Restructuring would be buried in the dust once the north returned to power again. "the North can never give away their advantages without a fight"

And it was not an injustice and inequality that the South who produce over 65% of Nigeria's revenue pockets less than 40% of the share?

Let the rubbish keep burning and let our use.less leaders in the South continue to keep mute just because of the loot they share.

That's what Nnamdi Kanu saw and said Nigeria is irredeemable hence, his unflinching agitation for Biafra.

The North have made it clear that they aren't going to give away their undeserved enormous advantages in Nigeria; an advantage that has marred development in the country.

They have refused, condemned and fought aggressively against every inch of process that may lead to actual restructuring of Nigeria yet, they can't provide an alternative structure that will engender development in the country.

This is what they see: a Nigeria solely owned by the North, that must service the interest of the North first, that must be dominated by the North alone. Anything to the contrary is a gross flouting of their "Fundamental Rights," (the born to rule right).

So, when the North through the federal government vigorously fought against Nnamdi Kanu who was already changing the status quo, the gullible minds and the very uninformed never understood why but jumped into the propaganda that Kanu was an agent of "Hate and Division."

Unfortunately, we the South will continue to suffer it.

Politics / IPOB: Nnia Nwodo Wants To Use Us To Negotiate For Vice Presidential Slot In 2019 by Youngadvocate(m): 7:51pm On Oct 11, 2017
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has stated that it has fallen out of favour with the President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Dr Nnia Nwodo because it refused to be used as a bargaining power by Nwodo for a Vice President slot in the 2019 presidential election.

According to a press statement entitled ‘why we fell out with Nwodo,’ signed and released by the publicity secretary of the group, Mr Emma Powerful today, Wednesday, in Awka, Anambra state, IPOB gave eight reasons why it decided to shun the earlier agreement being reached by Nnamdi Kanu and Igbo elders.

The group in the press release said, “It has become absolutely necessary to reply Chief Nnia Nwodo, on his Aso Villa sponsored umbrage on the great and noble IPOB and our humble leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Chief Nwodo’s F.G- backed tissue of lies which was designed to blackmail and paint us as violent, disrespectful and unintelligent bunch of ingrates is only an arm of the war declared on us by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

“We begin by reminding Nwodo, that our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu represents the righteous anger of the much abused, much betrayed masses of Eastern region, who have watched helplessly for 47 years as their so called leaders traded away their collective future for peanuts.”

Part of the reasons was that, “Nwodo is piqued and pissed that we did not allow him to trade with the great IPOB and present himself as the overall leader of Eastern Nigeria, thereby packaging himself as the ultimate VP choice for 2019.

“We have nothing against his secret and hidden political ambitions. We wish him luck. It’s just that Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB will not be available for him to trade off. We will always prefer men like the 87 year old Prof Ben Nwabueze, First Republic Minister Mbazuluike Amechi and the upright Archbishop Anthony Obinna to lead us to any meeting with government.

“When we paralyzed Biafraland on 30th May this year and the oppressor panicked and responded with a quit notice, the F.G. immediately reached out to all the zones, Nwodo moved his train to Abuja and met with the Acting President, Osinbajo and announced that check points and appointments into Buhari’s government were our only grouse with Nigeria. This is a blatant lie because our leader agreed with Nwodo that Nigeria must show commitment towards addressing our key demand which is referendum.”

It said that even though Nwodo positioned himself as the leader of the zone, when a meeting was scheduled with Osinbajo despite the fact that IPOB agitation was what led to the meeting being convened in the first place, Nwodo did not ask for its input or grouse with Nigeria before attending the meeting.

The group said it fell out with Nwodo because he was piqued that every effort he made to join IPOB leader’s meeting with the governors at Enugu was turned down, while adding that it would continue to work for the restoration of Biafra.

Politics / Buhari, South East Governors Pushing Us To Take Up Arms In Our Agitation-- IPOB by Youngadvocate(m): 8:17pm On Oct 09, 2017
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, under the leadership of Maazi Nnamdi Kanu, today, Monday raised alarm that President Muhammadu Buhari together with the governors of the south eastern states was forcing them to take up arms in their struggle for the actualisation of Biafra despite their non-violent stance ever since.

According to a press release by the media and publicity secretary of the IPOB, Emma Powerful, the Buhari administration and the five governors were worried that despite the brazen provocation and attack against its leader and members, the group had remained non-violent.

The statement also, stated that President Buhari shoudl take the blame should the group decide to shed its non-violent stand and take to arms as it has been pushed beyond limit.

“It was the Nigerian government and her security operatives that brought violence into the Biafra agitation not IPOB. Should IPOB decide to engage in armed struggle at a future date, the world must hold the government of Buhari, Igbo governors and Ohaneze Ndigbo responsible.

“We always held peaceful rallies and protests all around major cities across Biafraland without any violent incident or objection from the masses, but they decided to tag us terrorists in order to justify the violent crackdown on innocent Biafran populations. Our happiness is that today the world can see that IPOB is innocent and have totally vindicated us,” he said.

The group which referred to the governors and the leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo as political contractors said they were envious of IPOB’s popularity and the demonstrable feat it had achieved in the struggle.

Anyone who takes both the horrible tor.toise named El-Rufai And these bloodsuckas in the persons of the Arewa youths serious is either acting out of incurable foolishness or gross ignorance.

It's all about politics. It is well planned. This is to distract the attention of the unintelligent and entertain the gullible Nigerians.

October 1st is here and they are stagging the well scripted drama. An unimaginable insult on our collective sensibility it is. This will lead to nowhere. In fact. It is to gradually guide the passing of the most awaited date, October 1st.

They know everyone's attention is on them. They know we are waiting to see what becomes of their fate after the Quit Notice declaration; a genocidal attempt against a collection of the citizenry, the Igbo race and by extension, Southern Christians.

Smart as usual, they have crafted this to placate the agitated minds of Nigerians. Nothing will happen to them. After all, it's the same Arewa Youths that President Buhari hosted in a hotel in Abuja for about two days after he returned from London from his medical frenzy.

The North West insults Nigeria and Nigerians and get so-damning away with it. That's why they ran mad when the "little" Nnamdi Kanu challenged their hegemony, their dictatorial quest and status quo that have stampeded Nigeria's growth and development. Fellow Nigerians, aside the elites, the North West are the biggest problem of Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Why North Opposes Restructuring – Ajimobi by Youngadvocate(m): 8:28am On Sep 28, 2017
This was why every Nigerian needed Nnamdi Kanu.

They said he preached hate against the Hausa-Fulani but that's just what it ought to be. The North West largely comprising the Hausa-Fulani ethnic majority have held Nigeria and Nigerians to a halt that nothing good happens in the country.

Their position is that of a gross injustice and glaring inequality against other regions and groups and every single political move is an insult on the sensibilities and rights of other ethnic groups. The master plan was by the British and it's still working till today. It's an archaic status-quo.

I bet, if Kanu had just dismantled that staunch hegemony which of course is jittery right now thanks to his dogged fight against it, and restructuring is done so as to enthrone justice and equity, he would end the Baifra agitation.

The greatest enemy Nigeria faces is that hegemony. The rulership of Nigeria by illiterates at the expense of literates; of those who contribute virtually nothing taking the biggest chunk of the resources at the expense of those who produce virtually all. Hence, since no hard work is put at generating the revenue, it becomes free money that is squandered so frivolously. It's also, holding other region with higher pace of development down to measure your crawling pace of development with the pestilential, impure "Quota system."

Hope Nigerians will get sense at last.
