oaziz that you are a self made millionaire and have six people under your employ still does not guarantee that you take pills every morning. You don't come to a pulic forum and start brandishing how sick you are. You will end up embarassing those who love you - your wives, children and employees.

Now if you don't mind just go and take your pills and remember  - according to doctor's prescription. wink

Incase you don't realise how much you need help, notice that if you post again here, everybody on this thread will ignore you.

Education › Fg Removes Ceiling On Hnd Holders’ Ranking by youngies(op): 4:08pm On Jul 09, 2008
The Federal Government has removed the ceiling on the salary grade level/ rank that holders of the Higher National Diploma could attain in the public service.

The Federal Government also made the Ordinary National Diploma the new minimum entry point into the public service.

These were contained in a document entitled: “Government White Paper on the Report of the Presidential Committee on the Consolidation of Emoluments in the Public Sector,” obtained by our correspondent in Kaduna on Monday.

According to the 40-page paper, the Presidential Committee on the Consolidation of Emoluments in the Public Sector set up by the immediate past president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, in November 2005 under the chairmanship of the former head of the defunct Interim National Government, Chief Earnest Shonekan, had discovered that “Entrants into the public service with HND do not have the opportunity to reach the highest grade even when they are found competent.”

Before the removal of the ceiling on the salary grade level/ rank, the promotion of HND holders in the nation’s public service terminated at Grade Level 14 while their counterparts holding university degrees were allowed to reach level 17.

The committee, therefore, recommended that, “It is desirable for the purposes of relativity that entrants into the public service where such organisations, agencies or institutions operate HAPPS, HATHSS must have the full opportunity to reach the highest grade if they are found competent.”

But in accepting the recommendation of the presidential committee, the Federal Government further directed in the White Paper that, “The dichotomy and ceiling on the Salary Grade Level/Rank attainable by Higher National Diploma holders should be removed.

“OND or its equivalent from any Government recognised institution should be regarded as the new minimum point of entry.

“Salary Grade level 01-05 should be phased out by 1st January, 2008.

“The current scheme of service should be reviewed to reflect the above recommendation.

Justifying the Federal Government’s decision, the White Paper stated, “This is in line with the ideas and spirit behind the current reform programme of the government.”

From all the posts, I have deduced that we all want the best for Lagos. What we seem to disagree with is the legal framework crafted by the Fashola's administration to make lagosians have a sense of belonging, to make them more responsive, patriotic and less aloof.

@kobojunkie and other offshore Nigerians may be we could use your experience here, only if you can articluate for us things that can be done to strengthen these new laws. It is not enough to be pessimistic.

texazzpete:
Can anyone here tell me what stops three Area boys from conspiring together to 'arrest' innocent pedestrians on trumped up charges for the purpose of extortion?

Or three 'passers-by' from arresting people that buy secondhand phones in Computer Village on suspicion of theft.
What will stop them is that when they arrest and hand over to the police, the matter will be investigated and if found to be untrue, they (Area Boys/passers-by) will now be arrested by the police for making false arrest and giving false information to mislead the police.

I factor in that most of us here especially those living outside the shores of this country continue to think and believe that this country is a shithole filled with retarded babarians. It is a pity embarassed

Politics › Re: Even Juju Doesn't Work In Nigeria Anymore by youngies(m): 3:07pm On Jul 07, 2008
@naijaking

There are laws/rules guiding the application of juju. Juju does not effectively work in an environment where there is light (power supply), good water supply and qualitative but affordable shelter.

Juju thrives in darkness, impoverished and repressed environments. If we are thinking of exporting the surplus of our Juju-Tech, we should start thinking of countries like Sudan, Somalia, Haiti and maybe as far as Iraq. Need I say that an Excess Juju Account (EJA) should hastily be setup because we will be needing it for the windfall.

Udode

Fact: The South eastern part of Nigeria is comparising of five states: Anambra, Enugu, Abia, Imo, and Ebonyi.

All the States listed above are as peaceful and stable as peace can be. There are so many foreign NGOs working in these area for years with no incidence of molestation.

It is also true that the Niger Delta which comprises States like Rivers, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo and Ondo are close to the eastern states, but the activities of militants in ND areas are only limited to creeks of the ND States.

Let your head guide you and if you questions, send me a mail and I will give you directions and guideance

Juju doesn't work? Don't even say that to the new FCT minister - Malam Modibo Umar

Immediately he came into office, his first assignment was to hire the services of a well known juju man known as Ali kebbi. It is alleged that the man uses juju to track down criminals wherever they maybe.

He has an office with Special Assistants assigned to him.
