thats the point, if Obaseki had the powers he would have done so , do you also know that the Oba suspended two Dukes that were loyal to the governor, the governor tried his best to reinstate them back but every move he made failed.

He had to write to the palace calling for a peaceful resolution to the issue but the palace responded by telling him that its an abomination and sacrilege for the governor to initiate a peaceful resolution, that if the Enigies feel aggrieved they should make an appeal to the palace and Oba directly for reconsideration not the governor.

The Two Dukes who thought they could Come in because they were close to the governor remains suspended till today and they have been evicted forcefully from the community by the natives.

your analogy does not apply to the Oba of benin, the Oba is not crowned by the governor or local government chairman, before the Oba is given the staff of office which is just a mere formality, He has already be crowned and is already sitted on the throne.

Taking back your staff of office is immaterial as he is already crowned, the only thing that can remove the Oba is having forceful takeover of the Benin kingdom like what happened in 1897 but the Benin people will do everything within their powers to fight back.

So you know, in Edo state the Oba himself gets funds directly from the state government to pay the enigies who preside over the local communities.the Enigies (Dukes) are appointed directly by the Oba and can be suspended when they err.

Last year the Oba suspended two Dukes who erred and they pitched tent with the governor who was not in good terms with the Oba claiming that the Oba has no right to suspend them, the governor wrote to the palace and the palace responded that the Dukes remains suspended, that the Dukes can only appeal directly to the Oba for consideration and recall and not the governor.the governor knowing fully well he can do nothing called for a peaceful resolution and the palace wrote him telling him that it's a sacrilegious act for the Oba and the suspended Dukes to be at the government house.

The Oba appointed caretakers to the affected communities and the community members forcefully evicted the two suspended Dukes from their communities.Till today they are still on suspension.

I understand bro but I grew up in that church and as a matter of fact I have some young guys who don't just fancy coming to church always .

I try to act as an example to them , the moment they see me in church they are always happy and the moment they learn I am out of town, most times they will gladly stay back because i am like the only person that keeps them on their toes.my goal is to stay back till I am convinced they can serve God without being pushed .The moment I stop coming in less than a month they will also stop .I try as much as possible to let know them that Christianity is an individual race,I am happy they are gradually picking up .so it's just a sacrifice for me .

I attend a far away church , I spend over a thousand five hundred on Tfare every Sunday and I don't consider it as anything ,Not that I have much but if I can send a random girl 3k and she still tag me as stingy why can't I spend a thousand fivehundred to church as Tfare.

Today is Sunday, yesterday night I have friends that bought alcohol and drank to stupor but I would rather use that money to transport to church today.



It's all about our priorities , I don't have much but I don't see it as a burden paying the transport to church because I will still spend that money on something unprofitable like buying recharge cards, drinks that will never add something meaningful in me.

Same thing happened to me today, paid a visit to my gfs mom, she treated me with so much courtesy , like I was her son that returned from abroad .After giving her son money to her buy some drinks she kept on shouting at my girlfriend to prepare me food which I declined ,our chat was more of a mother and son conversation.

When I complained that her daughter gets angry so easily she promised to help me take her to her church for a special deliverance ,I couldn't stopped laughing , Everytime she was always telling her daughter please take good care of my inlaw,she is your second daddy.i didn't look rich going there but she was really welcoming .

The part that made me so emotional was cautioning me to stay away from the get rich quick syndrome,that she knows how young guys these are making their money, I shouldnt feel pressured at all,Her first son would have been so rich by now but she stopped him from getting entangled in fraud a long time ago.she doesn't regret her decision because he is not doing badly as well.

Ending the year indebted,gambling took a bit part of my income towards the end of the year, although I am not a chronic gambler just wanted to try out my luck if I could get something to settle my debt but ended up losing the little I had on me .

Ended the year penniless , I had downloaded up to three loan app today so I could get a little token to hold body and soul together but my offers were denied.

The country is hard , my only reliable friends are a bit down at the moment ,worst part of it is that my girlfriend suddenly changed , called her last night and she told me to call her back in an hour time that she was in a call with a male friend ,was upset , I asked if her male friend was more important than I am, her response was nobody is more important than the other person.tried raising a convo with her, she said I was disturbing her and next blocked me so she could continue the call with the other guy.same phone I bought with my own money .

Have been down since morning , couldnt even get something to eat till this evening .your message coming at this time of the night has lifted my spirit.i just believe there are better days ahead .
