Is this a licensed profession?
If not, I believe the date you obtained your BSc should suffice.

Sales Manager
Food Technology

Can you state what your profession is?
If it is legal profession, i know one becomes qualified to practise law after passing the bar exams and not after bachelors degree.
Zeiya:
Should it be the date Bsc. was awarded?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by ysteph: 12:47pm On Jun 25, 2018
I assume the highest qualification is BSc.
The question to answer is when xxxxx first became qualified which i assume is BSc.
Tomiccell:
Is that correct though? Date of highest qualification?

Thought it depends on the employment requirements of your chosen NOC.
e.g. my NOC specified completion of a college or other program in Comp science or other. In my case i put completion date of BSc instead of MSc

Date ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ first became qualified to practice in this field of occupation .
Please what date should be filled there? The date I resumed the job or the date of I had my highest educational qualification ?
Waiting.

this sentence is doing me somehow.
efueh:
Yes you can evaluate it with WES, just ensure your transcript is translated to English just in case your institution will be using French on the transcript by a qualified translator.
As for your language test, I think writing in French will give you more scores than English test as it is not a common language, thus, Canada places high premium on it. I stand to be corrected tough!
In addition, taking both test if you can will give your scores a resounding boost.
My 2 cent opinion to you.

I'm sure by now you've seen the place to upload ECA and TRF.
linaskreat:
Please I am in the process of completing the EE profile require some help.

First I didn’t see anywhere to enterormstion children details only spouse. Is that in order.

I also was not asked to upload any document. I ask because someone just talked about not being able to upload her kids passport.

How much information is too much information? Do I have to state my entire work history or stop at 6years?
If I have had different roles with same NOC In the same organization, does it make sense to split the roles on the EE profile.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by ysteph: 4:46pm On Jun 24, 2018

You're applying to go to a western country and you're doing it through 'hear say'
I'll advise to read the cic website and understand the process for yourself

JonJon2017:
Dear All,

I have both an MSC and BSc. I initially evaluated the MSc thru WES and a report was sent to me after 8 months with an ECA No. on the report. Some weeks later, a friend wrongly adviced me that I needed to evaluate both my MSC and BSc for EE, so I sent my BSc also to WES, which has been evaluated as well.

The issue now is that the soft copy of the new report reflects both my BSc and MSc, and it has a different ECA no from the first report. Now I have two reports for my MSc with two different ECA nos. Also, I am yet to receive the original copy of the new report, but I have received the hard copy of the initial report.

Now, I used the initial ECA no. while creating my EE profile (since I have received the original copy) but my fear is will the new report render the old one invalid? Since they both have two different ECA nos, and they both reflect my MSC.

Please advice...

Thanks alot.

The small oyibo system when I know, it will overwhelm a lot of these people. God will help us all.

Yes. Include it post ITA. If you're not claiming points for it then you may not need a work reference letter.
JonJon2017:
Thanks for us response, but am not quite clear. Do you mean I should include the work experience post ITA? If I do, will CIC still ask for her reference? Since she is not claiming any point for work experience.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by ysteph: 6:50pm On Jun 22, 2018
Canada and US share biometric data. I don't think work experience is shared. I may be wrong though. However, while not claimthat work experience in personal history instead of concealing it totally.
JonJon2017:
Please I need help.

I am the principal applicant. My wife has some work experience which she filled while applying for a U.S visa three years ago, but we dont want to include it in our Express Entry profile becos it was a shitty company that will never give her work reference. It was a messed up place. We want to leave her work experience out of the EE profile but we are scared that CIC might think we are concealing information. I am aware that they share information with the US, so they might see her work experience on her US visa form.

Please advice. Thank you.

People here are too in love with WES.
GlitteringStar:
I believe there is no hard and fast rule about this.... Someone said she sent an email to WES that they should evaluate her BSc certificate without the diploma certificate and she got a positive response. This is good news for those who gained admission via direct entry. I believe they can claim two or more certificates by evaluating their National Diploma certificate and co maybe with IQAS, ICES and the like. This is the link to the post.

I used debit card.
efueh:
Hello house,
Due to the obvious merits of IQAS evaluation of B.L & LLB over WES, I tried to opened IQAS account for my sister now, I find out that I couldn't pay their fees with my debit cards. Unlike, WES that I used my debit card for myself and another friend successfully.
Please, those that used/using IQAS, how did you make your payment? I need to know so that I can complete the profile account opening asap.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by ysteph: 12:23pm On Jun 22, 2018
Thank you for this. A word is enough for the wise.
Livy2018:
I won't want to stress WES evaluation of Nigerian law degrees again, but I will speak for myself.

Hubby and I are both lawyers and both have masters in law. We assessed both our LLB and LLM with WES, however, in the process of evaluation, we had to remove hubby's LLB from evaluation due to the incomplete transcript issue from Unilorin because he got admission with IJMB into 200 level and I didn't see any headway with getting IJMB transcripts.

Anyways, WES evaluated my LLB as "Bachelor's degree (four years)" and LLM as "Master's degree". Hubby's LLM was evaluated as "Master's degree".

My advice for lawyers, dont bother testing the waters, things are changing pretty fast e.g. medicals that use to be swift is now a survival of the fittest thing and requires 'holding vigil' to even be among the 1st 40. If u only have LLB and don't mind the waiting period with IQAS, go for IQAS. If you cant wait, then evaluate both LLB and B.L with WES and you should get a "2 or more cert" evaluation. A colleague is still stucked with processing transcript from Law school.

All the best guys.

Oh I get. Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor's degree. Makes sense really.
gsade:
I think if ECA for LLB says "Bachelor of Laws", they one can claim points for masters. But if it says the other two, then potentially there is no way and one may get rejected. Just my two cents.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by ysteph: 4:37pm On Jun 21, 2018
Nairaland people, please what is the difference between Bachelors degree, Bachelors degree(four years) or Bachelor of Law?
gsade:
This is truly interesting. But I think my next question is what exactly was the WES equivalency statement. Was it "Bachelors degree", "Bachelors degree (four years)" or "Bachelors of Law"? The truth may lie in those fine distinctions.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by ysteph: 4:33pm On Jun 21, 2018
