vasel15:That fool is not Igbo. Don't be deceived by the Jesus he attached to his username. He's one from the religion that produces the highest number of terrorists. |
naijaking1:It's very painful what is happening in Imo province of BIAFRA land. Some of us warned right from the beginning about Hope Uzodinma but many couldn't see into the future as at the time. Uzodinma is a tool of the fulanis for the destruction of our land. He knows what he's doing and should take full responsibility for it. Thousands of our young men have been murdered because of him. Hundreds of houses have been burnt down by the terrorist Nigerian army. Dozens of communities torched just because Hope Uzodinma sanctioned it. We warned right from the onset that He isn't one of us any longer because his mind has been infiltrated and captured. He's a slave and a tool for the fulanis. Other Igbo state leaders and politicians must take note not to ever allow a repeat of such in our states. All Christian majority states must never allow any politician who hobnobs with fulanis to get into any position of power in their states. Failure to do so will see a replica of Imo in those states. Simon Lalong of Plateau state is another of such fools whose mind has been captured to be used against his own people. |
Safyqueen:You're the biggest of all hypocrites. Where have you ever condemned the attacks of these southern Kaduna communities by your fulani brothers? Show me here on nairaland. It's best you shut your trap and allow people who are hurt to respond how they want. |
Southernigbo:You're a fool for calling the middle belt christians cowards. Is it wrong to attack and kill travellers as a revenge for the killings of their own innocent people in the farms? I repeat that you're a fool. If the fulani attackers are bold enough, they must stop attacking villagers in the middle of the night or on their farms. They should announce the days they want to attack and do so in the day time. The Christian youth of the middle belt will thereafter have no reason for going after travellers. |
Kestolove:We sabi dem true true. The three governors have three things in common. 1. They are not Hausa/fulanis. 2. Non of them is a Muslim. 3. They are not members of APC. Make e dey roll. |
Fulanis are busy destroying alcoholic businesses in the North Western States. Alcoholic businesses are not illegal in the fraudulent constitution of Nigeria yet fulanis think they have the power to do as they please in their states but they think the people of Plateau state can't operate in their state as they want. Is a Hausa or Fulani man an indigene of Plateau state? Are they indigenous to Jos North? Can the op tell the audience which part of Jos North Hausas and Fulanis are indigenous to? When other tribes allow Hausas and Fulanis to get away with double standards, it always comes back to hunt them. |
Viva BIAFRA. We are on the move. We shall never relent until the flag of the rising sun hovers freely on the Eastern skies. IPOB is a formidable group. Victory is ours. |
pazienza:I quite agree with most of your submissions but hesitate to go with others. Without this Nigeria and the ugly Igbo history with her, do you think we'll be having this back and forth? This is a jamb question so watch closely before you respond. Our leaders in the past made huge mistakes which really affected our people and the present ones are still making same. Azikiwe and Ironsi put the Igbo nation in a mess by never being strategic and these current ones haven't learnt anything from it. A succesful handsome looking man must know how to engage others without attracting attention to his wealth and looks else he'll expend a lot of energy fighting off jealous mates rather than expanding and consolidating his wealth. When will our people learn this? Ironsi's strategical blunder cost us allies when he could have got such support effortlessly. He was a confused as a duck. Nnamdi Azikiwe was the same story. It's the same place the Rochas, Orji Uzor Kalu ,Amaechi and Umahi are headed. They don't realize that that path is barren leading only to the wilderness. Isn't it foolishness to continue doing the same thing and expect another result? Back to our SE/SS Igbo problems. The problem as I can see it not whether we refuse them the Igbo identity or they deny it independently. None of this will solve the problems we all want to go away. You see, it is difficult even for twins who grew up separate and independent of each other to just meet in their adult age and get along perfectly especially when their venue of meeting becomes suddenly plagued with tensions and troubles. This captures the situation that is mitigating our much desired oneness. Aside from politics, are we really building on our oneness? I prefer to use the word "oneness". What other social ways are both groups meeting to help unify our people and build the national consciousness? Is Ohaneze the only socio-cultural group that has members from both groups? If it is, then it's not enough. We need more especially those that have to deal with the grassroot where young people meet one another and interact. This should be devoid of the ever ubiquitous competition that characterizes our people especially from SE but rather focus on understanding and complimenting one another. Many people don't know how much a number of grown ups from Anioma never knew they're Igbo despite bearing Igbo name because their parents never told them they're one. Many still don't know that the Anioma identity is not even diffused to all the parts of Anioma. It is not strong in Ukwuani or Ika. A good number of Ukwuanis will claim they share more affinity with Urhobos than Ikas despite they don't understand Urhobo but can relate linguistically with someone from Ika whereas the Ika sees brotherhood more in an Ishan than Ukwuanis. Both the Ukwuanis and Ika see the Enuanis as some manageble Igbo that they can relate with. If you can understand this, then you can see the problem is deeper than just accepting the Igbo identity. Our decentralized nature created fault lines that requires master skills and lots of sacrifice to blur and get our people to work together. The same level of sacrifice lots of clans in the SE did to give the block SE today is what these other clans need to give for a unified Igbo nation. The unified SE must itself be unified and sacrifice a lot as an entity to encourage these other SS clans to sacrifice more for the project to be successful. It is easier to blame and seek the easy way out but there's simply no gain from such. Today, because of the denials, many Aniomas especially around Ika and Ukwuani can't speak their dialects outside. Though they understand Central Igbo but they won't want to speak it. It's affecting them culturally. The Enuanis themselves are trying but yet the centrifugal forces are still strong. The painful thing is that if these constituent parts of Anioma allow their tactlessness to defeat sound reasoning, they'll become the minority of all minorities. The SE Igbo must proffer the capable leadership expected of them by focussing on two things which are; the oneness of our people and the growth, good, development and progress of our people and land. Every thought, action and decision should be taken in that direction. Collectively we will build our land and people and proudly beqeauth to our children a great and well established Igbo country. Although accusing SS Igbos as fair weather Igbos might not be entirely untrue, yet it doesn't entirely help the situation. Didn't some other SS Igbos stick alongside us through thick and thin? We can't insult the sensibilities of such people simply because we want to get back to those ones who lacked courage. Let me stop for now. |
eduj:The article wasn't written by pazienza. He copied from an Anioma writer. One can feel his pain and sense his frustration at the political quandary at display by our politicians both past and present. |
sapientia:We've seen his type many times and we know how they ended. One of them committed suicide. That'll be the lot of the OP. |
OP's headline is actually a question which many will not notice. Of course Ndi Anioma are Igbos irrespective of some of the denials. The best approach to this issue to allow the individual in question identify himself. Nigeria at present is still fluidy and we must be very smart how we handle it. Our decentralized political nature coupled with the deliberate schemes of our enemies during the war worsened the situation. OP, if you see into the future, you'll know not to worry yourself about this issue. Nigeria will certainly not last and we will have the last laugh. Those in denial today will swallow their words at that time. All we need to do is keep the flag up high and continue burning the fire. The freezing cold that will come shall push them our way where they'll have a taste of the pie. Do not let this bother you. |
xaggar:There are some Igbo words whose meaning today might be difficult for our generation to know but they remain Igbo because they are our heritage. I don't claim to know the meaning of all Igbo words in as much as I try to investigate them. Onicha is a popular word scattered all over Igboland from Delta through to Abia and Ebonyi. I don't know for Issele Uku but I suspect 'Issele' is a compressed word. If it's expanded, the meaning may be revealed. Anioma dialects tend to compress words so I guess it was compressed. As for Ugbodu, I'm aware of the Yoruboid language spoken alongside Igbo. The nearest Yoruboid language to them is Igala and I suspect they're an offshoot of them. The name I presume is got from 'Ugbo' and 'du' (a suffix). I can't tell for now. I'll be glad if you can tell me the meaning of them all. |
Iykoto86:Lol... It's funny how some peeps from that angle can be ignorant of their history. Do you know that there's a community in that same Agbor that their people don't bear Igbo names? They speak an edoid language with their culture different from the Ikas but are under the Ika North East LGA. They're called the Oza-Nagogo community. Ask the Ifeanyi if he can understand 30 percent of what they're saying in their language. This is how you know they're hiding something when they get unnecessarily angry if you try to ask them something about their connection with Igbo. Why get angry over simple and harmless questions? They know their claims are unreconcilable with facts on ground. Next time be subtle in your approach. Gradually chip in Igbo words when you're speaking pidgin English and watch his reactions. Gradually he'll be less hostile. I've met a couple of them and they've been diffused(pun intended). |
Anioma is Igbo not doubt but there are dissenting voices about the Igbo identity from some specific areas. This is bone of contention that needs to be considered. It was publicly that a former National Coach of the Super Eagles clearly claimed he wasn't Igbo despite having an Igbo name. The person is no other than Sunday Ogochukwu Oliseh. He's from the same part of Anioma as the new CDS. There are numerous personalities of Anioma who openly identify as Igbos and claim with facts about the undisputable Igbo identity of the territory but we can't feign ignorance of some dissenting voices. It is on this backdrop that we need not jump into conclusion about ascribing an identity on persons from specific parts that tend to deny their Igboness. The Wike denial is still fresh from Rivers State even when his kinsman(Amaechi) publicly proclaimed his Igbo ancestry. Should a Wike ever be regarded as an Igbo again unless he publicly withdraws his denial and seeks forgiveness from the Igbo nation(which is highly unlikely)? By and large, Ndi Anioma cannot deny their sons because he's already part of them while the Igbo nation will be hesitant to identify with some one that MAY deny them openly when push comes to shove. There are cases like this that I've mentioned before. The most important thing now is for the man to discharge his duty to humanity and remember that his legacy is what will be left for men to use in remembering him. |
xaggar:I enjoyed how detailed you are in explaining your lineage yet I disagree with your conclusion. Every ethnic group in this world have at one point in time assimiliated another group or groups for different reasons. When the assimiliation involves a smaller group of people, it becomes total with just clues left. When the number of people assimiliated is appreciable, the process is not thorough and leads sometimes from dual claims to forming a hybrid ethnic group with sometimes a new language if the parent language has been so bastardized. The case in Anioma will not be different from others in this respect. How comes of all the regions in southern Nigeria only Anioma is having this problem? The reason is simply due to mischief. Anioma was originally Igbo before the immigration of other edoid and Igala groups into her. All these people were welcomed and the Igbo language survived yet we still hear cases of claims contrary claims today. Are there not Igbos that settled among the Esans today? Are there not Igbos that settled among the Urhobos today? Are there not Igbos that settled among Igalas today? The list is endless. The point is that while no one can deny the differing ancestry that contributed to an area, one shouldn't try to usurp the identity of those gave him a home and community when he left his original place of ancestry. It is quite different if you formed a whole new community and retained your parent culture, language and norms but when you sandwiched yourself and survived under their magnanimity, it is absurd to now rise up and start colouring the identity of such area. It is touted that the Obaseki family has Igbo ancestry but Obaseki won't dare claim not to be Bini today. That's how it goes. The name of your community is Igbo, the language and culture is primarily Igbo yet you come to claim it is not Igbos simply because your fleeing father was welcomed and shown hospitality hundreds of years ago? Is that not ingratitude? |
Internet never forgets... Children of Hate, Perdition and Frustrations we hereby present to you the LIFE PATRON of Fulani Herdsmen that you hypocrites have been lambasting for weeks now. Now that hypocrisy go injure all of una.
Lol. GEJ was busy doing 'one Nigeria' and didn't know its implication. Rightly, the internet never forgets so we can use these pictures to remind the current southern politicians how they too will be seen after they've been used and dumped. He fell for their TAQIYYA and is today their errand boy. We're monitoring everything. |
DeltaFire:You'll always be likened to an enemy as long as you attack Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB. Irrespective of the various flashes in the pan you dish out, we're not in any way fazed by such double face as to take you seriously. However, thanks for consistently reminding us of your pitiable existence. There are specific people handling your case. From the four corners of the world shall our people and allies join forces to extricate ourselves from this evil contraption. That's our goal. Go and tell those that sent you. |
Becareful what you wish for and take your TRIBALISM out of this forum now.... The moderators will soon have your time.....okay? Here is your god, the LIFE PATRON of the same fulani you are having nightmare about on a daily basis. Hypo.......
And GEJ was led astray by TAQIYYA. Many more southern morons are still falling for the same trick with the worst being Tinubu and Wike. |
OP your frustration is well understood and you're not alone. One can only do much but multiple will be formidable. This is my advice to you. Get a hold of yourself and rather link up with like minds in your neighborhood. I won't mention names but you already get the message. The right time shall come for you to unleash maximum damage. This is what smart people do. Always remember that there are others like you monitoring the evil happening in this evil contraption. We are watching. |
As usual southerners will gloss over this key information and wish all is well until another shocker graces them. There's nothing being discussed in that meeting that pertains to peace, development or the well being of the whole people of Nigeria. Check all the bills their people are sponsoring in the senate... Cattle colony, Ruga, waterways bill etc. Nothing is been done for your good. Is this how Nigeria will become good? For how long will southerners be on the defense? |
OyigboUpdate:You're a hopeless criminal and your death is near. |
gidgiddy:Your summary has confirmed the folly of the OP. |
Elpipitaaa:You don't sound like an intellectual yourself. |
Jamjoon:The hard truth. Nothing is impossible in life and as such, even the British government will be forced to abandon them when we plan appropriately. |

Washere:I'll overlook your insult. My posts have been consistently vindicated over the years for being a forewarning to events about to happen in Nigeria.I understand how some of you reason... you think when you down play every negative thing it will simply vanish. Chai, the Europeans thought so until Hitler invade most European countries and occupied them. If they had acted earlier and adjusted the Versailles treaty to be more humanly, the 55 million people that perished in WW2 wouldn't have died. Continue downplaying the terrorism until it consumes you. |
juman:Agbor though an Igbo cultural area has a number of Igbo denials there, hence a man needs to individually identify himself before his identity can be cast in stone. |
There's nothing the current terrorist in Aso Rock will do for the benefit of the indigenous people (You can quote me anywhere). Don't be surprised that there's been heated disagreement on the handling of affairs towards southerners among the passed service chiefs which put a wedge to the plans of the fulanis. These new ones might be the more cooperative ones and shouldn't be celebrated yet. Information reaching me has it that the new CDS is a muslim from Agbor and was instrumental in building the biggest mosque in his hometown. How loyal to the fulanis he'll be will be revealed soon because like I said, this year 2021 will expose 70% of their intentions. I'm still gathering information on the others for better analysis. Do not rest on your oars yet as a lot is going to happen soon. |
Shiver99:Contrary to your expectation about this thread, it doesn't speak well of Ndigbo. You could have simply titled it " The beauty of Igbo women". This your title smacks of boastfulness and doesn't represent us well. I've travelled to lots of places and can tell you that there are beautiful women all over Africa and beyond. Beauty is in shades and figures the full definition of it no person can capture. While it is true that Igbo women posses more of the lighter hue in West Africa, it still is not the yardstick for beauty. If a dark girl with a gorgeous skin and killing shape comes out anywhere, she easily steals the show. When I was younger and less experienced, I thought Indian women were the most beautiful women in the world due to Bollywood movies but today, I can confidently tell you Africans are the most beautiful. The variety of shades and shapes abundant in Africa is unrivalled the world over and should be celebrated collectively instead of creating avenues for unnecessary comparisons and competition. We already have enough dividing us in Africa. |
CodeTemplar:The change solves nothing because there's a script at play. 3 months is enough to know of any effect behind this change. Let everyone monitor the decisions from today. Meanwhile, we who know their plans are keeping vigil and sticking to our defense as the days roll. |
