-privacy : There is no 'privacy'(literally speaking) in marriage. We have what we call 'unclothedness' in marriage. It includes financial unclothedness (@the man having gold in the room-without wanting his wife to be aware). I may have to rule that your reason out.

If there is 'unclothedness' in every section of the marriage, the reason for separate rooms wouldn't be any of what you listed.

I have a separate room in my house.
Why?
I am a keeper, I have shoes/clothes I bought 7yrs ago...(thank God I have refused to grow reasonably over the years) so, I store them.
My room comprises of my wardrobe/the main room/ kiddies section -sometimes kids refuse to sleep @9t, men are not very tolerant with the noise they make. In the absence of that, I sleep in my matrimonial room, I won't call it my husband's room, bc it's our room.

...but then, my husband has a study attached to our room, when he works in the mid9t, the light and noise keeps disturbing me.
I think these are legal reasons for privacy...lol
