Need for Speed sucks.

I much prefer the Burnout series for its blistering sense of speed, pure carnage and chaos. Taking Down your opponents feels oh-so-good.
Other arcadey car racing games I like are Project Gotham Racing 2 and 3, Grid, and Midnight Club.
I wouldnt consider Mario Kart to really be a car racing game, but I'll just add that the best Mario Kart game was the one on the N64. Series pretty much went downhill after that, though the Mario Kart games on the Gameboy Advance and DS were decent.

Why are women so emotional, you ask?
Its basically because of the hormonal and brain structure differences between men and women.

PS. apologies for my earlier comment.  i have no problem if people want to mod their consoles to do other things, just feel that doing it to pirate kills what is in essence a baby industry.  

I mean Harmonix were behind one of the most successful franchises in Rock Band, and still has problems breaking even.

I think the reason Harmonix wasnt able to break even in past recent years wasnt because of piracy, but because the whole "rock music game" craze began to fade, and Harmonix's revenue began to decrease quickly, because Rock Band is their main source of sales, and also Guitar Hero. And when you think about it, Rock Band and Guitar Hero are games that are hard to pirate because while you can easily download the software off the internet, you can not download the physical guitar and drum that is required to play these games. Harmonix just released their results for the last annual period and they had a profit of over $100 million dollars, because of the excellent sales of Dance Central on Xbox 360 and the associated downloadable content for it. So Harmonix is still generating alot of income, piracy or no piracy.

Modding your wii is probably the best thing you can do to expand its functionality, I had 2 Wiis that I hacked and was able to install all sorts of channels on it. The most important of these is probably the Homebrew Channel, which is kind of like a gateway to all the wonderful homebrew apps that people have written for the wii including Mplayer, which enables DVD movie playback and playback of audio and video files from a flash drive, sd card, or usb drive, Snes 9x emulator which worked perfectly (used it to play Chrono Trigger, fantastic gem of a game), Wii64 emulator which like a previous poster said didnt work so well for some games, Neogamma which allows you to play Backups , USB loader which allows you to back up your games and play them, and alot more. The only downside to hacking your wii is that it takes a bit of maintenance if you want to play the latest games, many of the newer games come with updates by Nintendo designed to break or undo any homebrew hacks detected on the console, so you gotta be careful.

Out of the 3 consoles of this generation, the Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3 and Xbox 360, modding the wii is probably the most easiest and safest because its a softmod, not a hardmod. You dont have to take a screwdriver and open the console to install a modchip or anything like that, all you have to do is load the modded software onto an SD card, pop it into your Nintendo Wii, use one of the exploits that allows the software on the SD card to run and voila! The rest will be done. The whole process takes just about 5 mins.

I havent really been following the latest developments in Wii hacking, but I know of 3 exploits that crashes the Wii and can be used to allow software on the SD card to run, including the Bannerbomb method that doesnt require any game to use (this is how I modded mine), the Twilight hack which basically makes you load a save file in which the horse (default name is Epona) in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess a very very long name, which crashes the Wii and allows the hack on the SD card to run (as of system menu 3.4 or so and higher Nintendo fixed this so this exploit wont work any more), and the Smash Stack hack which involves using the custom stage loader function in Super Smash Bros Brawl (a game I absolutely love  ) to load the hack from the SD card.

Dont know why many of these console manufacturers limit what their consoles can do, when they have the potential to do so much more just by tweaking the software/operating systems on the console. Nintendo originally planned for the Wii to have DVD playback capability but scrapped it before the final release, citing 'cost' reasons. Dont understand how that is so when Wii games themselves are DVDs and the Wii has a DVD drive. Just like how XBMC greatly expanded the function of the original Xbox and how many people jailbreak their iPhones so that they can get out of the 'walled garden' that Apple seems to create their products with. Sony claims that the reason they took out backwards compatibility from the PS3 slim to run PS2 games was that there was a chip that was required for the PS2 games to run and that it was driving up the production cost of the PS3, but I'm pretty sure that chip or no chip, with all the processing power that the PS3 has, Sony could write an emulator that plays PS2 games just fine. Why they dont want to do so, beats me.

And I agree, its a shame that the Nintendo Wii doesnt really have that many fans in Nigeria. Its all about the PS2/3 and Pro Evolution Soccer with 90% of people here. Xbox 360 is kind of starting to get popular here, but there are many people here who I dont think have even heard of the Wii. Which is sad, because they will never know the joy of Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Super Smash Bros Brawl, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime, Mario Kart and so on. Oh well.

people in the UK are sooo lucky, the film is premiering there today! They get to see it a full 7 days before anyone else does! And the reviews so far have been wonderful! On RottenTomatoes.com its currently 100% certified fresh.

Final Fantasy III on SNES. Its okay sha, not as good as Chrono Trigger, but its a good, above average RPG for its time.

if you really want all those things in a great phone thats not too costly, better get a Blackberry, maybe Curve 2. Nokia is a dying company, the Android phones are great but they are quite expensive.

this topic is very enlightening, I too am an aspiring programmer but unfortunately may not be able to get a degree in computer science or related discipline just because of the circumstances that i've found myself, but I do believe that I can get all the info I need and become a professional through reading books, practice, and determination. I'm am currently trying to learn C++, its the first computer language I'm starting with because I understand that its the lowest-level language (apart from raw machine code of course) and will allow you to understand all the essential concepts of programming (OOP, memory management, stacks, etc). Also every other language (java, visual basic) is based on it, though I always hear that Java is more harder to grasp than C++. After I learn C++ I guess I'll move onto Java.

But is GLO BIS any good? I've heard that their service isnt so stable and fast compared to MTN (which isnt even ok at times). There's no use of a price drop when the service isnt that good to begin with. Would of loved to use Etisalat but where I am they dont have service yet :-/.

I am thinking of getting a new blackberry phone, probably Torch 9800 or Curve 9300, however these phones come preloaded with OS 6.0 and are branded, will I have any trouble activating BIS on them on MTN and other networks? Can MTN configure any Blackberry you take into their office? Can anybody here using any of these phones enlighten me on their experience? Thanks.

I've played alot of games in my lifetime but some that left a real impresssion on me after finishing them the first time are:

1. Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance on Xbox (finally understood what all the talk was about, this game is polished to perfection, a classic)
2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on N64
3. Golden Sun 1 and 2 on GBA
4. The Halo series on Xbox
5. SSX Tricky
6. Chrono Trigger on SNES (another classic)
7. Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic on Xbox
8 Viewtiful Joe on GCN
9. Super Mario Galaxy on Wii
10. God of War 2 on PS2
11. all the Grand Theft Autos starting from GTA3
Really I could go on and on but these games readily come to mind

@iice Okay yes I admit that was a kind of dumb argument on my part, im not that narrow-minded to think that someone who doesn't like Beyonce's music doesn't have taste. I generally don't like rock music but that doesn't mean that I think that it is wack or that someone who does listen to it does not have taste.People are free to listen to whatever music they choose.
So please pardon me for my mindless rant above but still IMHO Beyonce is not wack she's a great artist.

Both Beyonce and Rihanna's last albums were nice but whose album do you think was better? I think Beyonce's Sasha Fierce has a very slight edge over Good Girl Gone Bad although I don't think it will be able to produce the number of singles that Rihanna's album did.

on the I Am,  side I like Halo, Broken-Hearted Girl, and Smash Into You, on the Sasha Fierce side I like Radio, Diva, Sweet Dreams and Hello. Amazing album but what do you expect?Beyonce never dissapoints.
