For every action there will be a reaction. Let everybody for EH recruitment all go to the NNPC handle on twitter to demand for closure. This is the way to go first before other options. I did mine yesterday.

They were also very quiet about the GT list before it was finally released. However, I agree that we should make deliberate efforts to put NNPC under pressure, let's move beyond just paying lip service to this thing. I am ready to do whatever it takes to ensure the EH component sees the light of day. Do we have anyone here who has strong ties to the media? we can also find ways of lobbying senators or reps to help raise it on the floor of the Senate. Guys, let's act please, let's move beyond Nairaland, we are EH, let's not keep shut while this NNPC mgt does what it wants. NNPC isn't their property, they owe us explanations.

The mass sack was specific to contract staff. They are not in direct employment of the corporation. The permanent staff under direct payroll of NNPC are the ones that have been redeployed back to HQ i.e sent to pool to be assigned new roles according to him

The reason your source is not sure is because there is no concrete reached on this matter.

But from feelers, the corporation is overstaffed already with staff from the refineries all redeployed to Corporate HQ awaiting posting.

Also there will be a re-skilling exercise for those to be transferred to new units in the corporation, so maybe bringing in EHs may not be such a favourable idea.

Like I said, what we need is prayers, because in all honesty, the forces now do not favour the cause of the EHs.

On February 14th NNPC said the EH component will be ‘addressed in due course’. ‘Addressed’ means they will say something about it, not necessarily that they will give EH people APL. And now they have have addressed the EH (although indirectly) by mentioning this: ‘successful completion of the 2019/2020 recruitment’, according to their tweet. If you want to live long and not die of anxiety, EH people, please move on o. This thing really pains me because I was very expectant as an EH applicant too. But what do I do?
