LOL.. I didn't say taxes are not paid in Abuja. I wanted to give you another way to request for your tax statement from LIRS without consulting your company as long as you have a tax ID and your taxes were remitted.

Visit any court with all the info normally contained in a reference letter. This info will be used to draft a statutory declaration for you and get a notary public to notarise.

Thanks once again. I'd submit with my pension ,payslips and employment letter

Ok great. From the looks of things, you are looking to get maximum points possible for work experience. Right? Well, that does not necessarily have to happen with EA. Submit all the documents you have in addition to your CDR and English test result. Not compulsory, but I’ll suggest your career episodes come from the work period you have the full documents for and/or your undergraduate project work (at least that can be fully verified too). That should take care of things.

Also, if you cannot lay your hand on your tax clearance, another independent document like bank statement showing income from the job in question, RSA statement from your pension service provider, etc would do.

Finally, (feel free to ignore this one wink ) EA can look at your qualifications only and give you your desired positive outcome. I know a few people who assessed as graduates and they scaled through. This was 3+ years ago so, please double check if this is still applicable today.

Thanks alot

My advise is to submit to EA without delaying much because assessment may end up taking between 3weeks to 3months.

Since you have 6years of verifiable employment that's 10points. You need additional 2years to hit the 15points cap which your current work place doesnt have yet. You can always add employment verification at a later date and this wont usually take long.

You still need to demonstrate you have been working in that role on your CV with your current employment and support it with either bank statement or payslip or employment letter if you have any for now.

Thanks for responding. I would submit asap

Do you work in Lagos.. I mean is your tax paod to LIRS?
You may need to get a proper reference letter from your supervisor or do statutory declaration.

Oga tunlex01, no! I work in Abuja and taxes are remitted in Abuja. Please, can you advise how to go about the statutory declaration? Thanks alot

If you are assessing with EA, you may not need to face this dilemma. What’s your background and full profile?

I'm a civil Engr. Working in Abuja currently. I have worked with two other employers previously. My first was between 2012 - 2014. I have payslips, pension, tax, & testimonial letter from them. My next job was between 2014-2018. I also have payslips, tax, pension and reference letter. However, my headache is from my current job. I don't have my tax clearance yet. I have gone to the FCT-IRS with all my payslips and all, but they are requesting I bring a tax ticket from my office to confirm they have been remitting my tax. This is now taking a long process as I have been on it for more than two weeks. If I can boycott it, pls advise. I need to submit to EA asap. Thanks for your response

Good afternoon everyone, please I need some answers.

I work with EEDC, and as you know, big Nigerian companies like this will never write you a recommendation letter for migration, so I fear mentioning that I work with them in my assessment documents. Some of my colleagues that tried migrating in the past, when the assessment authorities called and emailed our HR, our company refused to disclose any information about them. Thereafter, those my colleagues were fired. So they lost the migration prospect and their jobs here in Nigeria. How do I avoid listing my present company? Or better still, if I mention them, how do I make the assessment authority to not contact the HR or top management? I would like them to contact my direct supervisor if they must.

Secondly, the other job I did before moving to EEDC, in a construction company, we were paid in cash with no document to prove receipt and I didn't really pay taxes. How do I prove I was paid?

Thirdly, I read Civil Engineering in a federal university, but I now work with Enugu Electricity Distribution Company as a Field Supervisor. Will this affect my assessment?

cc: bellong

I am facing the same dilemma. I want to do this quietly without involving my current employer. My problem now is getting my tax returns for 2019. I have my payslips, pension and tax ID. I have a role profile showing my job responsibilities in a company letterheaded paper. And my work hours is only shown in my employment agreement. Please, would these suffice to submit my assessment with EA. Please, advise. Thanks

This process is HIGHLY confidential. very very few will get correct info. Even people in the HR no sabi jack.

Do you know that NCC recruited over 40 people Dec2019/Jan2020. HR self didn't know until letters were shown to them.

So ptdf will conduct separate interview for the person?

Not necessarily. The interview can be conducted together with everyone else but if given the scholarship, it would probably come with a condition of getting admission into the school of choice.

All schools are on the 17th of February 2020

It depends. If Germany, you can apply for winter session and that application would still be on till June/July. Even France too

i have been stuck on this same stage too. while applying, the school and course I chose using the daad.de site is not even on the application portal. Tho in the advert/guidelines we were told we can apply to any school in Germany.

I tried calling their helpline, but it is not going through yet.

Not all schools and courses in German schools are under the DAAD sponsorship scheme. Take Note

Lol, that's not possible. Your O'level can't be more recent than your degree

Thanks, choosing UK as first choice is like putting one's eggs in a basket.

precisely. and I think the UK scheme is a different scheme. I want to believe the chances are better choosing either of the other countries.

Does that implies that if you choose a country as first choice, automatically the country you're choosing as first choice becomes your second and third choice but different universities? Or am I the one not getting the gist correctly?

You can't choose UK schools as second or third choice and if you choose UK, you second and third choices would have to be UK schools as well

Please is a person with a MS from 2014 eligible to apply?

2014 till now would be 5yrs+. It might not be advisable to apply for Germany/DAAD. I would advise you choose any of the other countries - China, France & Malaysia. And I suppose you are applying for PhD right?

it clearly says last degree! It means ur first degree can be more than 6 years but Master degree shouldn't be! By the way, is Singapore included now? I thought it China, France, Germany and Malaysia.

I thought there is Singapore there? Can't really remember now

Does it apply to PhD application too?

If it is PhD, your master's degree should be less than 6yrs.

All of you selecting Germany/DAAD for Msc should bear in mind that for DAAD sponsorship, your first degree must not be older than 6yrs. Otherwise, choose any of China, Malaysia or Singapore.

By who and how? Everything in life is competitive even the spermatozoa that forms everyone of us was competitive.

There is no difference between the EH competition and the GT competition except that they are experienced.

For 2 EH position we can have 50 or less competition because of the stiff requirements.

But for a single GT position you can have 1000 competition because GT is open source

I wish they can even understand this fact that the real competition is among the GTs

.

It is also stated if you don't have it, ensure you have it before the interview.

To shortlist applicants is based on
1. Degree Certificate ( Having a First Class Is 30 points, 2.1 is 25 points etc)
2. WAEC/NECO ( having distinction here is 30 points that is all As)
3. Statement of purpose ( I don't know the grade here sincerely)
4. Connection and luck
5. God

It will now boil down to states. it will depend on how many applicants from your state. note that at any point, you are competing with those from your state immediately you applied.

Age and professional experience nko?

They sent me a similar mail too. It has to do with DCC.

You can pay with a Zenith card. I didn't even open a Zenith account, I simply transferred money to a colleagues card and did my payment.

Okay, thanks

Thanks to @Bamz for the info, I paid for my PTE at the official price and with ease. If you want to make payments for PTE, just use a Zenith bank MasterCard. It was a seamless transaction.

Are you sure about this? From the mail GTB sent to me after my naira card was rejected, they said it was a CBN policy stopping them from accepting the random forex exchange payment .
