We were paired against PSG and were written off. But then, we overcame.
When they saw that we were going to play Chelsea, they concluded that it was over. Then came the heavenly pass from Modric that silenced the spectators at the Estadio Bernabeu. The turn around was unbelievable.
They concluded that it was the end of the road for us when Manchester City were staring at us. Something divine happened in the 89th/90th minute, which caused jaws to drop.
They were now afraid to predict tonight's final because they didn't understand the underdog making headlines repeatedly. The yellow turtle predicted Liverpool to lift the trophy as well as Steven McManaman.

But whenever we look at our huge banner, we see what is boldly written on it: 'Hasta el final, vamos Real', which means' Until the end, let's go Real Madrid'.

Be sincere, even on nairaland, how many good news have u heard from edo state?

Mind u I have many people in Benin as friends.

Sincerely, I am not aware that he commissioned a single wheelbarrow, much less of buses. So, I am confused.
One thing that I can confidently say is that the governor has made some investments in tech. Last year, a friend benefited from the Decagon's program, and he is presently employed at somewhere better than the private school he was teaching at.
Also, there are some indigenes that are under his scholarship for the nanodegree by Udacity. The programs include Frontend, Data Analysis, and Data Management or so. The beneficiaries didn't pay kobo. The present set will graduate next month, and they have started calling on those that are interested to apply for the next session that will start in June.
You are free to verify it, but with an open mind.

In fulfilment of the new minimum wage regime announced on Workers’ Day, Governor Godwin Obaseki has paid the Workers’ May salaries and pension, reflecting the new wage increase.

The Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie, disclosed this via a statement issued on Thursday.

“The Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has approved the payment of retirees’ pension and workers’ salaries for the month of May, reflecting the new N40,000 minimum wage,” the statement read in part.

“This is in fulfillment of the statutory obligations to workers and also a reflection of the governor’s expert and judicious management of the state’s resources.”

Obaseki had on May 1 announced the increment of the minimum wage in the state from N30,000 to N40,000. He noted that the increase was necessary to help workers overcome the country’s overbearing economic challenges, which have caused galloping inflation among other socio-economic dislocations.

A cross-section of workers, who spoke with journalists after the payment of the new minimum wage, expressed excitement about the development, praising the governor for keeping to his word.

“I can’t contain my joy. In all my years in the civil service, no governor has done as much as Governor Obaseki, a civil servant, Mr. Jeremiah Igbinosa, said. “He has shattered all records. I am in awe of his financial acumen.”

Another public servant, Mrs. Ose Okosodo, said the governor has proven to be the darling of workers not only in Edo but in Nigeria. According to him, workers across Nigeria, who had been calling to confirm the governor’s announcement earlier in the month, now have evidence to prove that the Governor is a promise keeper.

“We are lucky in Edo. There is no doubt,” he said. “This is happening when other governors are making excuses for why they are not able to pay workers.”

The panel chaired by Clement Ebiri was tasked with conducting the Lagos state governorship primary in 2018. The panel obtained a result that they disapproved of.
Why? The panel's chairman claimed that the state chapter organized the primary despite having no jurisdiction to do so. The NWC postponed the primary indefinitely after the panel decided to reschedule it.
When the panel's chairman met with Oshiomhole, he was requested to accept the outcome, and he (Oshiomhole) overruled the NWC's cancellation. Mr. President was assured that everything was under control by Oshiomhole.
So, since the state executive was not authorized to conduct the primary, and you, Mr. Oshiomhole, requested that the results be accepted, what do I call it?
Everyone is a saint when judging others.

He made the post in January 2013 during GEJ's administration and subsequently apologized when the Christian organizations condemned it.
Aside from El Rufai, Muric compared Buhari to Jesus Christ last year, and Christians only condemned his speech but never called for him to be killed. Or is that not blasphemy against the Christian religion?
