Two02: I think I understand Atiku's choice of choosing Okowa over Wike. Okowa seems to be a very calm Man and the Fact that Okowa Is Igbo and from the south south is one of the factors Atiku thought of when choosing him as his vice. He needs someone who can sell well in the south south and satisfy the ethnic sentimentality of the south east.
The only problem I see with his choice is the ability of Okowa to sell Atiku's candidacy to the grassroots. I don't know much about Okowa credibility in the grassroots but the masses of the the south south and southeast will determine who wins this election. Atiku's Popularity has really nosedived in the south since Obi's departure and he needs a vice president who can revamp his popularity
The North and Southwest are locked zones for the aspirants of the two flag bearers 9f the two major political parties. So the winner of the election would be determined by the south south and the southeast, but Any winner would be win with a very small margin. This election is too competitive
The reason is not far fetched......here's why because of Niger delta oil . At least the moment goodluck Jonathan was chosen as the VP to yaradua the unrest in that region ceased . This is just a way of saying to the Niger delta people I am choosing your own again so vote for me. So the looting and stealing of our national treasury can continue again
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar, has announced Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate.
Atiku made the announcement at a meeting attended by PDP executives at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.
PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, said a 17-member committee had been set up by the party to pick a running mate.
He said the committee had submitted three names to Atiku to choose from.
The final decision however, Ayu said, was Atiku’s.
Speaking at the announcement event, Atiku said making a choice between the three names had been a difficult decision.
He also noted that some of the qualities he looked out for include someone who understands the enormity of the challenges facing the country and one who has demonstrated, from experience, that he can proffer some solutions.
He said he looked out for one who has the qualities of a president, who can stand in for him when he’s not around.
According to him, while all the three names submitted were qualified, he had to settle for just one: Okowa.
‘Congratulations’
Okowa had arrived the PDP headquarters in a celebratory mood.
Some party members welcomed him into the building with the words ‘congratulations’.

Datboredberri: Simple fix... Don't spend money on girls to impress and get them...
Relationships are about feelings not money... Stop making your relationships transactional... It's only gets you cheap women who see you as an ATM...
And if she ditches you for someone richer... Then she wasn't worth it...
And if there's a problem it's understandable if she leaves...
I have been enjoying your response but not until when u made this response.........see majority of our ladies have made relationship so bad in this country that you wont think twice but to go hookup....... I have met with guys (and my own personal experience as well ) who said if you meet a lady today and show interest in her tell her then a day or two days later she will tell u her birthday is coming up in two days ( billing) In my own then I was In benin, a lady I met just a week I Invited her over to my place and while we were discussing she told me before any can see her laps he must get her a phone.
I can categorically tell you that the few ones you mentioned re the majority , but you know what these few majority make relationship in Nigeria sucks. The good ladies can only be met abroad. I met the lady I presently with now ( an African American girl) at the former place I work . She was in Nigeria for tourism with her mom and other American, but you know something this lady comes to visit me every 4month since she agreed to marry me without getting tired for ones So but I must tell you that it is so hard to get to meet any lady that wont attach conditions when dating u.... they view relationships or dating as means of survival, not otherwise.
Fuckingmallam45: This is what happen when you bastardized the aim of Grammy award, by giving it to undeserved fellow. As reputable as Akon was back then, I don't think he was nominated for the award talk more of winning it( I stand to be corrected tho.). Now look at some people's role model. A very big shame. Since the day he won the Grammy award, he has started misbehaving, very uncouth human being.
Akon was locked up in jail, hence his non nomination for the Grammy awards . He was an ex convict

Azeemokoya: Agbaro, a populated town in Ughelli North LGA in Delta state would have been thrown into mourning if not for the heroic display of a tanker driver, Ejiro Otarigho.
I am not ready to bore you with the details of what you must have read in the news on Saturday. There are many Ejiros that deserved national awards and recognition.
Imagine a situation where he would have panicked and run for his life at the expense of others while the petrol tanker laden with full fuel would have exploded.
Knowing the tragedy this would have cause, Otarigho manned up and drove the burning truck out of the populated area which still took some kilometers to an open field.
Watching a clip on how this hero drove the truck that left fire on the road to that location still leave many by suprise.
On sighting the fire and how it continued to spill on the road, many had flee to nearby safe places. Even vehicle owners left their belongings and cleared the road for him.
This is indeed a real superman behavour that Marvel Film will wonder how it played out.
Safety procedures needed on Nigerian tankers The issue of safety in an ordinary car is not even underemphasized not to talk of a truck carrying a full tank of fuel.
It is expected by the relevant agencies to carry out investigations. This is will help unravel what might likely cause the fire and know if the truck meets the requirement.
This is not to go hard on tanker drivers on owners, but for security of lives and properties. It is not all the drivers that would have such a high level of confidence displayed by Ejiro, but issue of safety should not be compromised.
Many drivers are expected to take a cue from this. Ejiro must have been rained and retrained on how to handle this kind of situation.
It therefore important for tanker companies to train and retrain their drivers on safety.
Ejiro Otarigho deserves a presidential honour Nigerians have witnessed many being given state and presidential honour to people who have in one way or the order made positive impacts in their society. It is high time more is done to honour people like Ejiro. It is necessary for who took the risk and put their lives on the line first for others.
We have read reactions from governments in the media when this rare feats occur but nothing follows it. In a sane society, Ejiro should be a celebrity now in some offices, especially the fire and safety departments.
You are very correct about this my brother. Like the case of the Senegalese guy in france who rescued a baby and was given an automatic citizenship and job . But the Nigerian society will be more interested in the two thieves vying for the presidential position .

UncleSuru: Good day Nairalands. There's this feeling I've been having lately which has prompted me to seek clarifications.
I had a baby boy early this year which was my first. I was overjoyed as the boy is just a replica of me. Just lately, I've been having this strong feeling that this boy is the reincarnated form of my late father. I don't know why I feel this way or where all this is coming from.
I'm not the religious or superstitious type. I don't even believe in these things. I don't even believe in reincarnation so where could this be coming from?
My father was a military man who died about four years ago. I feel my father whenever I'm holding this boy. I'm not conversant with spiritual things so I just can't place it.
Please, why do I feel this way? It's been on for months. What could responsible for these feelings?
Arkhanmu: I married my wife in Kaduna two years ago. During those period we were dating, we were very much apart due to distance. She stayed in Kaduna while I worked in Lagos.
During few times of my personal meeting before our wedding, I noticed huge communication between her and this man. I called her attention to it but she just waived it aside saying they are just friends as Ex (stuff). She joined me up in Lagos after the marriage but the communication between them still continued.
This is a woman I have sacrificed so much for in my life by providing her basics need with the children even though not huge like that. She told me the Ex is a Doctor and they have nice experience together while dating back then. I have adviced even begged her to stop this communication as it it very hurtful and insulting to my personality but she won't stop. Instead she secretly calls and requests money from this guy in almost different occasions.
At a point in time in the past when she went to Kaduna to get her transfer from work place to Lagos, she still visit the guy even as she is heavily pregnant that time. I was able to get the idea through her bank account statement when the same guy send her money for what business I don't understand. It is almost 2 years of our marriage now, I am starting to regret why I marry her initially even as I noticed much difference between us; she is from Southern Kaduna while am from Ibadan.
I wish I have married my tribe whom I can easily understand. Just yesterday night I see another 4k alert from the same guy to my wife. I am really pained though I have not confront her. See guys, I have 2 boys, twin, I take care of them, buy food and all.
Though my work is not going fine but I try my best to make her happy but it seems she is not built for me. I don't really know what is going on again in my life as I am heartbroken.
Maybe the man is even in Lagos most times self. Many things are just running through my mind.
even your own tribal woman can do this, stop attaching tube to it . Mind u I use to think southern Kaduna women re more faithful than yoruba ladies sef
Anobody: I'm a single mother of two teenage sons, lost my husband 10 years ago and have been struggling to cater for them singlehandedly. My first son is 19 and the last 17 years but I'm getting fed up with the disrespect and regret not taking them to the village so I could remarry.
They both left secondary school and working to save up for school and I don't ask them for a dime. My last son suddenly started behaving like a tout, pierced both ears and turning his hair to dread, takes my stuff without my permission and even to extent of holding my hands when I get furious to beat him.
My first son is dating a girl and spends all his money on her to the extend of asking me for transport fare sometimes. Sometimes they come home by 10 or 11pm and are ready to fight me if I get furious to discipline them.
What broke the camel's back was that my last son went to a friend's bday party overnight without telling me, my first son said he called to tell him he won't return and NONE OF THEM TOLD ME under my roof.
I've tried talking calmly, denying certain privilege and discipline but it keeps getting worse, my last option is to take them back to their father's village before I die of hbp.
I'm depressed nairalanders, please I seek matured advice, thanks.
Please help me push to front page
This story o oluwo ninu oo have you been acting right bf them ? Like have they seen you with men
robinso01: How could you be so senseless to call people showing their grievance and praying to what they believe in foolish? You're really ill mannered. If you ain't a product of unwanted pregnancy you won't be calling someones mother foolish. Get a life and be responsible.
You do not need to mention that guy . If only he knows the ancient gods re not to b toyed with . In fact the women consulting that gods ,should be careful because if they make a promise to that gods and not fulfill it , after carrying out its duty the consequences on them maybe grievance.
