onegentleguy: Depending on their share capital structure, any equity financing has to be using their called-up capital and/or issued capital via rights OR using their unissued capital (where it hasn't been cancelled) via private placements.
There's also the option of mergers and/or acquisition.
If you go by the part in bold, then I think ETI is safe and may not need to raise further funds, while UBA followed by FCMB and FIDELITY (in decreasing order) will probably be needing more funds than others in view of their operational license.

Tight rope for some of these banks. A seemly unsustainable EPS for FY2024 against this? Operation aggressive marketing. A possible merger looms.
sky2891: Kudos to JSE on this. With this OANDO will think twice about the delisting proposition. I am glad OANDO isn't listed only on NGX. Fingers crossed.
Low-key a nice nudge for Wale and Co. What is it that they're marinating over a result? Just do this thing and let's get done with business. The whole psychological play is becoming stale.
KarlTom: I want to put this out there: do not use all your resources to purchase fixed instruments. I am currently speaking from experience.
The FI might give guaranteed returns but the equity market could give exponential returns. One thing that should be a constant factor is a healthy RISK APPETITE and PATIENCE.
If you commit to FI, you're stuck till maturity...
Then you have not been paying attention to Oga Emma. You will repeat class oo
debeey87: If you have a stock portfolio of over 50m,
Will you sell to generate fixed income of at least 10m given current rates of over 20%. If not how will you balance your portfolio to also take advantage of bothe the ngx and fixed income rates. Total annual dividend from same portfolio is less than 4m
With my my loot earlier in the year, did a 80-20 split on Fixed income and Equity respectively. Scouting for opportunities with proceeds from the fixed-income. All I need is just a constant 5-10% monthly.
Streetinvestor2: This statement does not apply when APC is in government during the 10 yrs and naira moves from less than #200 to #1500 to a dollar It is what I am seeing in my 10 yrs sukuk bond @ 13%.When I did it I thought it was a great option. Now I have reservations on long time fixed investment. I think it is better one goes for multiple TB of different months with the capital so that you can move the fund to any better investment when the need arises too
Nigeria is a hot bed when investing. The instability, geo-tension and the "Nigerianess" drives the madness on value erosion overtime. You must be really BIG to go long term. Hence, I see reasons to the earlier submission questioning how the invested sum was gotten while still discounting the fact that legal money still sign-up long-term contract.
$CGC showing massive dumping, but price holding strong as accumulation going on in the 15 minutes time frame. A spring is imminent. Still watching. The montly timeframe is tempting , but apply caution as the weekly showing reversals.
$FOXO, holding strong in the early hours. We'll see. A pop to 1 is possible(when?)
Zagee: The channel is closing-in for a breakout again. I think I'm beginning to understand how you make your picks . Not yet 100% sure, but getting close to 50
Oga aremso, breakout out is +ve. 16% during close and 25% after close of business. Ahead of nextweek. See you Monday 🙂
GAZZUZZ: I just completed this CNG retrofit on a 2009 Ford F150 with a V8 4.6L natural aspirated Engine .
The vehicle is now fitted with 3 CNG tanks with a combined capacity of 165L (48 SCM @210bar)
Vehicle now boasts of 300km Highway travel on 48SCM which is an equivalent of ₦9600 @ ₦200 per SCM. For better description the distance of Lagos to Benin is about 295km.
Now this is nothing new to CNG retrofits as it brings down the cost of fueling most vehicles by 70% in ₦.
What is unique about this vehicle is it's ability to provide Natural Gas for external use for equipment like Generators, and cooking utensils.
This again brings down the cost of powering your petrol powered gen by about 70%.
In place of LPG it is currently 200% cheaper to burn Natural gas as against LPG.
We have an abundance of natural Gas reserves in Nigeria , hopefully we can all tap into this God given free gift to lower our expenses.
Laso09: It might be too early to start celebrating. A lot still need to be done.
If dumbo dullard and unfortunate meffy kept it at 700, why can't tax collector and Cardi B work that magic out. Sustaining it at 900 sef is enough. Let there just be stability that's all!! And they badly need it.
Do you have the historical data of the relationship between the Nigerian stock market capitalization and our GDP.
Because 80% is undervalued in the US stock market compared to their GDP, does not mean 50% is not overvalued in the Nigerian stock market compared to our GDP.
Maybe you wanted to say businesses in the Nigerian economy needed to be quoted on NGX
thebargainhunte: This has been my stand that our market is still undervalued even at this current rate. We should be talking about 100 billion(usd/naira) capitalisation by now.
New listings are what is required to have this. We need more lively coys on the bourse. NNPCL and Dangote Refinery adds about 5-10trillion to it. We just have to create the enabling environment for such traction. E.g includes but not limited to not having Stupid people anywhere at the seat of governance. Without sounding political, this was why OBI had a visit to the LSE during his tour. I think bulaba had some run-ins with other exchange I think.
The channel is closing-in for a breakout again. I think I'm beginning to understand how you make your picks . Not yet 100% sure, but getting close to 50
1. possibly a 2 man show, Aig and MR Wigwe (RIP) with no real sucession plan or trust of subordinates. 2. Hopefully this serves as a wake up call to companies to inculcate the ability to groom trust worthy subordinates (easier said than done!!) for times like this. Access holding will come out greater though!!!
These things can be subjective. As such, I would say haven already appointed an acting group head(with over 2 decades in-house experience) ,bringing him on-board is just like a 2FA system - secure proof.
aremso: I love such stock like BBAI but you must know how to play it, that is why you don't need to chase any stock once u missed good entry level then wait or look for another stock. Never chase price. Knowing support and resistance level is very important. HOLO moved from $2- $4 from 4-50$ from $50 to $72 just early or mid Feb but currently around $7 so one must develop strategy in this market if not one will be crushed.
That was a massive run from HOLO. Wow!! Adding tobmy watch list.
