This headline weak me I no go lie. On "cost-basis" I doubt that. We just don't produce enough. We are yet to meet our OPEC quota. We struggle with that. I wonder if NNPCL can even meet-up with their 300Mbbl/day as 20% equity stake. We have spread thin towards resource-back loans especially with crude oil. This country ehn!!!

I think I have mentioned before that we are going to see bigger revenue, especially for essential products making companies, which may translate into higher profits. It is not hard to see when you go out to buy provisions and supplies - you should have noticed by now that most prices have gone up. In some cases prices have doubled, while in other cases companies have reduced the content. Look at my favorite biscuit from years past - the fish biscuit (50 naira per pack). It is now half its original size.

When some people come here and tell me stock prices will fall, as usual I get seriously confused. Is it not the same market that they and I enter to buy things, or are they shopping somewhere with discounted prices? Ok nah.

I never considered this metric, I guess the gut feeling has been demystified. I can imagine the revenue when people get extra money to spend. That fish biscuit mehn.. It just fell off in taste too. .

There's no way Dangote's refinery will sell only to the Nigerian Market.

When he starts shipping to neighbouring countries it'll definitely be priced in USD, that's one source of dollar inflow.

You can hedge in dollars first thing by 8am, but you can equally afford to stick to some naira for appreciation.

Stability in supply of jet fuel brings stability in foreign trips logistics, hence more dollar inflow.

I expect the naira to appreciate(maybe no to 650) as Tax boss as hinted by the end if tge year, especially if they removed that custom bottlenecks on import/export business.

Don't bet against the naira.

Reasonable Consumer goods(especially stocks yet to catch the bull) are somewhat of a defensive stock in this era of unknown. Transcorp holdings should be down to 40% while you stash that loot in fixed income while waiting for pull-back or crash to launch some dangerous counter attack .

If it retreats you keep buying more . Some Spare change to follow dangote.
