People don't really have problem with the message in the Bible. But anything related to giving tithe and Offering in church, they get so offended as If they themselves really give.

Why are people so angry about what the Church makes this days.
I function in a Ministry where I was privilege to see the inflow and outflow of Money. I discovered that people especially church members don't give that much. Some times the money used to run a service is 3times higher than what the congregation gives. Meanwhile some full time workers are paid saleries. If you really gather tithe and offering for 10years can't even buy a Pastor a good car not to talk of buildings.

Sometimes financial inflow in church is mysterious. Sometimes churches have difficulty paying rent but suddenly they get free hall from non members. Sometimes strange money in account. Broh make we leave oooo.

Apart from the spiritual side of church wealth. Pastor of this generation are great entrepreneurs and business men. If you are not close you won't know. Most times they use their personal money to run the Church and even feed some poor members who are homeless.

Now imagine if a Pastor help a family, feed them, give them accommodation, when a child of that family rise up to become somebody and He start giving back to the church people start dragging.

A Pastor once told us a story growing up in ministry. He said when He started His church, when the church rent was due, he'll called top members for serious prays for God to send a helper that will clear the rent, and God always answered their prayers and the givers are mostly outsiders. So He got a revelation from God that members should be the only ones paying for every bill in church. That was how prosperity and progress started in church. Members started excelling till they were able to build their own church.

Sometimes I ask, do your believing help anybody?

I pity modern Africans, na anything they hear them de practice. Africans have never practice Atheism. Africa is a Spiritual ground, our Furfathers were deep Spiritualists worshipping Idols. That was their greatest strength and defence.

When Christianity was Introduced to Africa. It was easy and they had a greater advantage on the spirituality of the Religion where strong prophets were raised. Even till date Africans still practice modern religion like Christianity and Islam as though they are serving Idols, how they communicate with God is different from those that brought the religion. They scream and Command God same way they talk to idols.

Atheism is not African thing, it's a set of some Scientists using that to Manipulate people who subscribe to their false discoveries. They have to create that to have a continuous patronage. According to them anything that cannot be experimented or research on they say it doesn't exist. Imagine human being trying to capture God for an experiment.

Since Spirituality can not be experimented they say it doesn't exist. Atheists don't believe in Spirituality. Note; not all scientists are practicing Atheism, In fact science that base in technological discovery are strong believers. They are Scientists that are Theologians.

My concern is Africans who don't even practice Science in a professional level are the highest subscribers to this false discoveries. They know Africans would never in their entire life do any research to confirm any Idea they bring. You know why license for so many things is not given to Africans?

African biggest weapon is FAITH in Spirituals. No matter how African suffers He still believe things would change. It's a big challenge to the Westerners agenda to reduce Africans population. We hardly die during plandemics. If they get a hold of our Faith we're finished. Fear would be the order of the day.

Atheism does not make you a smart fellow, it makes you a Zombie. You'll be Manipulated by false systems of the world.

Whalis:

Bros u are yet to know why Wike is disagreeing with SIM. Wike had a cycle of close friends cum politicians which SIM was among. When it was time to run for governorship they all showed interest to run. SIM wasn't at the forefront but Wike preferred him. Wike told others to step down for SIM. Wike liked SIM for too many reasons. His calm nature and intelligence. He promised others different positions if SIM wins and this includes commissioner's position. This is why it seemed like Wike appointed all positions. This is not the case. There were others that he would also financially empower. This is the deal Fubara has renegaded upon. Wike isn't as bad as people cast him to be. I am not his follower but I follow politics keenly.

Even Wike Himself came into power as an Obedient Son of Rivers, they use to say Amaechi was forming Godfatherism.

The same thing He's doing to Sim now was the same thing Amaechi did to him during His First term.

I think River State politics is a battle of who would be the Jagaban. Everyone is now practising Tinubu style of Politics, SouthSouth and Southeast are not SouthWest. Adam Oshiomole tried that system in Edo state.

Sim would still do the same thing after His 8years. Their fear is that they don't want to be left behind cus Nigerians would so forget you exist after serving your term.

If Wike was not giving that Ministerial position He won't have the power to disrupt Sim.

Why I like Peter Obi, He is the only Politician that maintain His Integrity, influence and respect even without clinging to any political position. No past Governor has that influence and Respect.

This Man Competition and envy on Peter Obi is getting too much. He want to create an imaginary fan base for himself. He talks and act as if he's so wanted.

I use to like Him during His First term as a Governor, little did I know He is a Manipulator and a Jealous fellow, especially if you try to rise above Him. As long as He has gotten to this height He would keep fighting any Governor that does not agree to his term or take him as a Godfather.

You were busy dancing cultural dance with the G-5, organising concerts in different locations until at the latest hour the G-5 split cus you refused to disclose who to support neither did you Campaign for any candidate.

At the last hour before voting commence Tinubu visited you for the negotiation and that was it. You didn't even campaign you just rigged.

Wike already knew if he didn't cling after his Governorship term expires he would be a nobody so he took the offer.

Nigeria and Nigerians would not make your life better, Dangote refinery is not there to make Nigerians lives better, Even Tinubu is not a president to help Nigerians. Everyone is fighting to be a better version of themselves. Naira would never appreciate to N300=£1, cus number of people benefiting from the fall won't let it Rise. Lots of investment have been made on that rate waiting for more fall.

before taking further step in life first do a personal appraisal. If you earned 200k what have you done with it, what extra investment have you made from the money. If staying in Nigeria have helped you raise money for your Japa, then you can still raise money for greater investment. If you can't manage 200k Naira you can't also manage 200k dollars.

Do not weigh your Naira to Dollars while you're in Nigeria, And do not weigh your Dollars to Naira while you are in Europe. A plate of food in Nigeria is N1k. A plate of food in Europe is £5 equivalent to N6k. If you earn in Naira you spend in Naira and vice versa.

Biggest Mistake people make. They sell off all their assets to go and hustle afresh to regain their assets. Don't sell off what you've already built just because you wanna Japa. It's the riskiest gambling for life, Cus you may never regain any.

I don't know which, how and what I can use to beg all Southwest to reconcile their strive with them Southeast. The Nation is sinking because of this. Good leadership in Nigeria is hugely dependent on this Two region deciding.

As long as the unity of these regions is affected the North taking that advantage to decide who leads and they ain't good in assessing a candidate their only criteria is Religion, Fulanis are the major contenders on this cus they've taken over the real Hausas using gun power.

The Yorubas must come to terms with the Ibos, you may call the Ibos secessionists (IPOB) but we all know any region that's marginalised will do the same. Ibos and Yorubas are really working hard to keep the nation going. The are really involved in nation building but not so with the Northerners especially Fulanis, hardly you see a Fulani buying land, building houses and paying bills but they prefer to enter anywhere and have free land for their businesses. SOUTH MUST BE WISE.

NOTE: I'm not Ibo neither am I Yoruba. Nigeria is more than Wazobia.

We the south South are wiser than Wazobia put together in terms of choosing leaders is just that we don't have huge votes power but if Southwest, Southeast and South South unite the North will be schooled and this country will be ahead of most developed countries.

Southwest stop clinging with the North in politics they are manipulating us all.

If she is a typical Hausa no problem but Fulani is a No!
Those people are the biggest problem of Nigeria go and verify.

I'm not a religious bigot but the body language of most Muslims in Nigeria especially those who claimed they have the most voting power obviously shows they ain't joking with their religion. To them every thing that should happen in and to Nigeria must favour their religion first. I pity for Christians.

You all think the hate on Ibos is about tribe? Hell No. It's the difficulty to penetrate with their religion through that region. The same way Muslims in general don't like Strongest Christians Nation like Israel and US. Read carefully their statements and body language.

Nairaland loves Igbos and Niger Deltans very much. The thought of being separated from them for any reason is unbearable to us, so we have decided that we will reject any attempt by anyone to use Nairaland to promote the idea of removing Igbos and Niger Deltans from Nigeria.

We have updated rule 9 of Nairaland to reflect this decision. It now says:

The first and second sentence of this article seems to me like Nairaland belong to a particular region. With what I've seen and heard every region or tribe promote its own. The above 2 sentences to me seems Seun is siding Yoruba and Hausa. You should have said Nairaland love all the Tribes in Nigeria rather than calling only two regions as though they are the secessionists.

Dear Nairalanders!
I need info on this matter that's troubling me now. 2months ago my Fiance applied for a visa to stay in the UK, through the help of her far relative that stays there and the visa had been approved. The issue now is we have struggled to raise the money and up till now not yet completed. Funny thing is, this guy is saying now that he doesn't have any place to accommodate my fiance.

I'm scared of her going with just a million Naira. How can she cop before she finally get a job. We don't even know the situation there accomodation and cost of things.

This traveling thing was never in her mind but her elder sister who serves as her guidance keep pushing that she must leave. Don't even know if my relationship with her will still work afterward though we planned that when she gets there I may later join her.

Please who knows how it is to start up life in the UK? I'm troubled, we where supposed to get married before she travel but I gat pause.

I'll be updating on this soon! So many uncertainties had taken place.

Until the Yorubas stop calling non Yorubas Omo Ibo, Until the south-west and the North understand why the Ibos are agitating by dialoguing.

Nigeria is bigger than 'WAZOBIA'
They are over 6 states in Nigeria (Edo,Delta,Rivers, Cross River,Aqua Ibom,Benue,Bayelsa, even Kogi) that are not part of the 3 major tribes (Wazobia) but the North and South West classified these states as Omo Ibo especially if they neither speak Yoruba nor Hausa.

I'm from Cross River, 'take chop' in Ibo I can't speak but wherever I go in Lagos there call me Omo Ibo. Each time I'm called by that name it makes me feels like a stranger in this same Nigeria. In my place such names calling doesn't exist. Even during my secondary school days in my home town I never knew I have 8 Yorubas in my set until now.

Dear NL!
I'm here again with a disturbing issue, some people would say your own don too much. Yes! My Dad will always say "As long as you leave stories will never end"

Base one Brother and Sister in the Lord I and DEBBIE met each other in Church. First time I met Her it was a strong connection between me and her, but I tried to control my emotions besides, I'm already in an open relationship, she too with all her Beauty she won't just fall so cheap so we are just crushing on ourselves secretly.

We only see each other in Church on Sundays, even though I tried not to fall for this temptation, my inner self can't resist seeing her often. Most times She will steer at me if I turn to face her she'll pretend and I do same too. But I said to myself this is church don't be trapped instead see her like a Sister. Interestingly I don't even have her number and I didn't ask for it, we don't talk either.

Coincidentally! We met on the way home 2months ago, for the first time since I knew her we talked long enough though I was with a friend we all closing from church, three of us walked together to my house first then to hers. Friendship begins from there, she comes to my house sometime with a friend.

2weeks after At about 11pm she called me that she's in my gate, I'd slept already but rush to get her in. Behold Debbie with a small traveling bag, what happened? She said "I ran out of my aunt's house her husband disturbs me at night, and my aunt is not around this night I don't want to stay there anymore besides we are not so much related". I want to spend the night in your place I'll leave tomorrow to my elder Brother place at Bariga" then I said no problem.

I asked her to sleep on the bed while I sleep on the rug cause it's a self-contained apartment, I ignored her to make herself comfortable. She switched off lights as she tried to change up.

Lying on the floor facing up the ceiling, only one thought in my mind "Don't talk to her now it may look like I'm taking advantage of her, so I zero my mind on talking too much.

10minutes later in that dark atmosphere she slowly laid herself on me necked only on pant. "What happened? I asked, on my chest I could only feel something like tears dropping from her eyes and she smells nice. Thank you, you are so calm and homely she said, holding me more firmly, I felt the warmness, she felt some vibration of my cock though not fully up. No more words just the connection followed by deep kisses. We both were scared of what is about to happen breathing heavily but we just can't resist it now. She said "do me a favour, do it slowly I'm scared". Ooh wow it was her first time.

The following morning I left for work leaving her at home but I came back home in the evening she'd already gone to meet Her Brother.

Now she just called me she's Pregnant. The Gal I'm openly in a relationship with is not yet aware.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Nigerians are not even top 10 immigrants in the US. Mexico tops this list but their country is way better than Nigeria.

Americans themselves queue to change their iPhone to the latest version, a phone that the payment would be on credit.

So leave talk abeg.

So Nigeria should be a contender with those Countries with major exportation of goods and services than labour.

Labour/Skills are the most valuable and durable resources a Nation should have. But in our case we export labour most. Cus we are loosing fellow able men for this so called juicy jobs abroad that never makes you a billionaire.

They don't give you ease access to make money few years in cus you might leave. So they made you comfortable to work and pay bills until you are finished, then continue with your Children.

Fine get trained over there but come home and impact our communities. That's the best way to secure your children future.

If they openly say we don't want immigrants, that would be an obvious hate speech, so they set a system. You know Brits are smart.

Yes our government is very bad but they were not installed on seat automatically we sent them they and they won't be there forever. Youths have never been so active in political affairs so they took advantage. Right now we need a collaborative effort, no one will do it for us. Nigeria is too big to be ignored and run away.

I sympathize with your courage in writing this. It is a post from an innocent mind wandering here and there. Though shallow.

1. Free in what sense?

Are you even conversant with the economic, security and political play recurring in Nigeria?

Nigeria is not among the most peaceful nation on earth. It is not among the countries with high GDP. It is not among the wealthiest nations. It is not among top investors friendly country. More than 60% of her citizens lives on less than $5dollars daily. International organizations are folding up daily and you say Nigeria is free? Industries has not been springing up and you say Nigeria is free?

Where is the freedom?

Is it the freedom to evade tax? Freedom to defy the judiciary? Freedom to harm your fellow citizens without being apprehended? Freedom to dance like naked monkeys on social media with peurile and nonsensical skits all in the name of content creation and entertainment? Freedom to attack your political leaders on social media? Freedom to vote without having knowledge if your vote was counted? Freedom to disobey law and order without being punished?

What freedom are you talking about?

Or, do you think the challenges are soft because it hasn't reached your door steps? A country where you are afraid to step out and even when you do, your heart is on your palms. You sing for jubilation when you finally come back home because you successfully escaped the harassment from the police, army, thugs and bad roads.

Where there is no law, there is no transgression - Nigeria is a graphical representation of that fact. And if you deem freedom as not following constituted law and order, I dare to say you are illusioned. That's not freedom.

Refer to 1 above.

Nigeria is blessed. But can a man eat a well prepared delicious meal in a house without no roof?

Green pasture and yet the value of currency gets deteriorating. Hyperinflation is the order of the economy. No government subsidy to aid production and exportation. No security of lives and properties. Bad roads. No electricity.

Reverse this pondering of yours: why are developed nations only exporting to your nation and not you?

I will tell you below. Continue reading.

Before I continue, if you are making use of that large area of land cultivating food and cash crops and rearing animals, you probably would have been among the richest men in Nigeria, and not here ranting and outpouring your lamentations here. Who and what has stopped you from owning the largest farmland in Nigeria? Why are you complaining? Or, are the lands not green enough? Is the nation not secure and free enough?

Lol.

I wanted to tell you something before:

1. Your country, Nigeria, and your continent Africa are under a branded form of colonialism still having America and the European Union as their masters and overlords. Slavery is now politically, economically, mentally, and socially weaponized. No more rods, chains, and whips.

2. Your president and political leaders are mere figureheads. These overlords are the ones in charge of your government and they rule your country by proxy.

3. Your country has been coerced by its overlords into structural adjustment programs and encumbered with loans or debts it can't repay. And the more they default on their repayment, the more the evil tentacles of these overlords spreads.

4. You can't produce and export cars, laptops, phones and quality agricultural produce because your government is either collecting more loans to pay former debts - rob Peter to pay Paul or embezzling the funds to satiate their greed potbellies.

5. Because of the structural adjustment programs, your country can't either subsidize production or encourage it.

6. But Americans and European Union provides subsidies making production and exportation light and easy. Since your products don't meet quality in the international trade center, they will be rejected. By the way, your government is in debt, repaying loans, and embezzling loans, so don't expect subsidy or production.

7. What about the divide and conquer strategy been used by your leaders and overlords to cause conflicts among her citizens.

People can use their money to buy whatever they want to buy and that's their business. Their purchase and pursuit of luxuries is not the problem of Nigeria. You my friend will love to live in a five-star designed home, ride in nice cars, and use the best gadgets.
However, the pursuit of luxury not for its relevance but for fame is utterly stupid - celebrities, corrupt leaders, and myopic citizens.

Until this nation breaks away from the claws of these overlords, Nigeria and Africa will never see the light of day. If greed is not rejected and truth pursued there is no redemption. Because greed and lies are how the power and control game is being played.

The masses and citizens may have their share of the blame, but they are just ignorant pawns on the chessboard of this powerplay.

Nigeria's problem is beyond Nigeria's borders.

Thanks.

What I really dislike is re-echoing our painful exclamation, what do we stand to gain if we keep propagating our weaknesses without pointing way out of escape.

Yes what you listed out are true. Then what's next?
I'm still waiting to see the impact of Master and PhD holders from overseas universities who will impact our Nigeria/Africa. For centuries Nigerians have been graduating from overseas university where are they?

Someone will spend so much schooling overseas just to make papers that would enable Him work in a good firm, 20-40years no influence back home. What's that??

Hhmm... interesting thread.

I believe people are leaving mostly cause of the infrastructure and stability. I mean, who's going abroad to be liked by the Whiteman? Africans mostly mingle with Africans abroad. Financial planning is just extremely difficult in Nigeria even at a personal level. Abroad, you can predict how much you'd spend on transportation, power, groceries, etc. Many things are constant. Your taxes work for you and you get the support your business needs. In Nigeria, luck plays more roles than it should. Your cold room (frozen food) business could easily collapse because of the epileptic power supply or accidents cause by bad roads or poorly trained drivers. Even when you're lucky, you'd still have to pay your way through the corrupt system.

Let's not even talk about security. Is Nigeria really free? At a point, a black man in the racist America became safer than a black man in Maiduguri. We have people in the North who police your religion, your haircut, the way you dress, etc. Gay people are criminalized on the basis of religion and they're about to pass a bill against cross dressing. A man can easily wake up and kick out a woman that has dedicated a good deal of her life to raising his family. Women are excluded from inheritance. Politicians are above the law. Tribes are fighting tribes. Religions are fighting religions. The list is endless.

Yes, I agree that we are our own problem. But on the other hand, people move for economic reasons. They go to where thier skills will fetch them more values. The mere difference in currency value is already a big factor. This is because the things we consume are produced in a different currency and that undermines the value of our hard earned money. So I don't really blame those leaving. Go wherever you feel you're more equipped to make it. Let those that see the opportunities in Nigeria explore it.

As long as we have relocation option in our minds we will never build our world our Nation suitable for ourselves. ....pick a gun and knife start pursuing a dog for distance, when it gets to a wall it will reverse back and chase you back.

No matter the disasters in the West, they will never pick relocating to Africa as an option. Why? they were raise to believe Africa is not a conducive place to live in.

........If the only room you have is all there is, you will furnish it well.......

Every one billion that leaves Nigeria, it takes us years to recover, cus we ain't exporting anything. Unless crude oil.

Lastbornbuns:

You could start the process undecided
How is the government not making life difficult? Is there any justifiable excuse for ASUU strike? What you expect these students that have been at home for 15 months in the past 2 years to do? How do you expect us to feel when we see the ruling class going to this same West, that you don't want us to go to, celebrating with their graduating kids?
Why won't I blame the government? Is it my fault that I've been at home for 15 months in the past 2 years? Is it my fault the government is "broke" but can cough out money to fund luxurious "aid" to a neighbouring country and fund expensive trips all over the world? Is it my fault that bandits and kidnappers have taken over? They're even in Abuja, the one city that's supposed to be the most secure!

Who do you expect to go to farm when they don't know when bandits/unknown gunmen will come around? If you manage to farm, cattle will help you harvest the fruit of your labour. If by chance, your harvest is bountiful, how will you transport it? Through the hole-riddled roads? Or the bandit-occupied rails? We're currently in rainy season. Do you know how the roads turn to bodies of water during this time? When you finally get to the market and sell your produce, you discover that its not even enough for a decent lifestyle not to talk of being enough for the next farming season

But of course! It's not the government's fault citizens don't feel safe in their "homeland". It's not the government's fault Universities have been shut since the beginning of this year. Its not the government's fault more than 60% of the youth are unemployed (lazy youth! WHen thEre are eMptY fArMlaNds undecided never mind they don't have the tools to farm with). It's not the government's fault that the exchange rate is deep down in the trenches. No, its the fault of all the average men and women in Nigeria that can't even eat 3 times a day, some can't even afford a roof over their head, whose only thought is what next to do to keep body and soul together.

Nigeria a free country indeed. Where lawyers and their aides, journalists, etc are harassed for speaking out.
Who wan travel make e travel, as far as its legal and well thought out. Who wan remain, make e remain. My mates in private universities are already doing nysc preparing to japa and we, that can't afford it, are here checking daily for news on ASUU strike and you have the mind to tell us to farm and not blame the government?

So like this now, you think these students that have been frustrated will want to invest in a sinking ship if they see money? Chukwu ekwela ka my own children check "ASUU strike update 2022" the way I'm doing now. Inukwa farming angry

If you understand my point your article won't be as long as you put it here. I never said government didn't fail on their part but you should understand that the government is a product of what we've made to believe in Africa. If a politician send their Wards to study abroad, what have their wards become, are they employable, what have their degrees done to our communities back home.

My point is if you could live and raise a reasonable amount that would sponsor your academics overseas, what then can you not become. Most times we get economical wiser when the thought of saving to go abroad comes to mind, we start gathering fun from every angle.

Yes overseas is peaceful and secured that's a bigger scam, they made the environment suitable for subconscious slavery, they pay you with right hand and collect back with left hand.

Is it that people don't know how to live freely, peacefully and happily in Nigeria? Yes I agree that there are so many challenges in Nigeria but I tell you for free, Nigeria is the most free country in the world. You can become anything you want.

I don't understand how someone with over N10million will spend all that money searching for green pastures, to me you are already on a fresh green pasture.

This is a total scam, you spend so much money educationing yourself to work for people (Whites) who don't even have your level of education.

The huge money you spend educating yourself goes to their purse, you graduate and work to better their economy.

I think Africa is really sponsoring the well being of the Western world. Back home we use all our savings to buy gadgets, expensive cars and phones. Cars that we don't even have roads to drive them. They keep releasing new version of phones, imagine people using expensive phone for a show off. Don't we think our monies are still going back to where these luxuries are imported from?

Celebrities keep upgrading their garages without employable investment. If I talk they will say what concerns you. If you know the amount of money going out from Nigeria alone for importation of phones you will cry. Yes phones are useful but using phone that worth 500k or above while you are earning below 150k is waste, subscription not even included.

We keep blaming government for making live difficult but when we manage raise money we can't invest. We have empty land everywhere, no farming, foodstuffs are getting scarce now, but someone will prefer to raise like 5million to go and do care job abroad.

I'm tired with black man mentality cry cry cry cry
