At the same time there is work going on at agbado. I don't know what they are constructing but my guess is a railway station. I took this pix from the abandoned amosun ( silly politician) bridge.

olaolu11: I took this battery from a ups and connected it to my panel to watch a program. The following morning i left it to charge while my wife watch tv. Unfortunately she went out and by the time she came back, all she was hearing was a shrill noise. Rather than disconnect, remove this battery and return to the original battery, she put on the tv and the noise stopped. Case settled as far as she is concerned. By the time I came home in the evening and she told me all, the battery is bloated ti this level( picture attached). 1. Can i still 'manage' use the battery? 2. What is the implication eg fire hazzard, explosion etc? 2. Why fidnt the cc trip off and stop the vharge agter the battery became full, or is it not suppose to do so. It is a 12/24v pwm 4. Would incorporating a fuse after the cc prevent such occurence in the future for even if i am using a bihger battery (100ah for example) and it gets full while i am not home, suvh can still happen. 5. I am saving up for a mppt cc (that fake/original that was a csuse of argument on this loop recently, bluegate or do: will confirm the name) Thsnks all Thank God it wasn't lithium. Your house would be on fire now. See why I like my lead acid. If you over do, the little nigga will just swell up. Not like egbon lithium that will just vex and catch fire. Please we should be careful with our DIY. certain level of hazards is inevitable but of course without experimenting we won't learn new things. |

adrusa: Let me share a little experience with you, especially for people who may be employing installers to do their solar jobs. A small solar set up was installed in my office with 8 batteries at 48v and what appeared like an a PWM controller but with MPPT written on it. We really didn't put it to use until sometimes last week. However, we noticed that the batteries soon died, even in the afternoon with blazing sun.
So my colleagues in the office informed me and I went down to see the installation. I asked that the NEPA input should be put off and put a load on the inverter. Lo and behold, the charge controller was not supplying any current to the battery. So, we were effectively running on the batteries. While the installer was fiddling with the installation, I looked at the label on the CC. Low and behold, it is labelled "auto 12/24v". So, the installer actually put a CC with max 24v input on a 48v system!
Fast forward to this afternoon, when the installer brought a Fangpusun CC (the FM80 Clone) to replace the CC. Still the CC was still not supplying any current to the batteries. Unfortunately, the installer was garrulous, unwilling to own up to his mistakes and was insisting that everything was fine. By the way, the Fangpusun was displaying "unloaded" at the right lower corner. I really have no idea what that means since I have never seen that on my original outback CC.
So, lessons
1. Don't assume that your installer know what he is doing, pay attention and ask questions 2. Ask a more knowledgeable friend to help you look over your installation if it is working well 3. Don't let any installer bamboozle you. If he can not explain what he is doing in a way you can understand, he probably does not know what he is doing.
But for the fact that I checked, we would have been thinking that our solar was working well, when we were only using NEPA to charge our batteries.
Finally, what does "unloaded" mean on Fangpusun Outback Clone? I will rather call you the installer. It's seems your company gave the job to a Carpenter that watched YouTube unknowingly, or your company went for the cheapest available option and got a cheap result. No known installer here with good reputation will do this. Next time just call me . Don't let us waste company funds abeg. check my signature when you have a job for me. Gracias |

JustOkDesign: That's why I stand to be corrected. Mr. Common sense.
All I'm trying to say is that the actual pics posted by Op is a NEWLY CONSTRUCTED/REPAIRED rail line in Agege. Therefore, if a standard one will be constructed later is what I don't know.
NB: even while constructing/repairing this, they had to demolish a Police Station close to the area and relocate it to agood location around there. Just take a stroll backwards to fagba downwards. You will see the work is coming towards agege where you live. At least you won't join op who's motive was just to make jest of the project. |

Guestlander: Does that even look new to you? A beg, I no get time. Don't mind him. So you use one location to judge the rest. If he lives at agege common sense will tell him they can't block, escavate and construct new rail lines at that location yet until the very last minute. It is a major traffic prone route. |

I stay around this area. I can say I'm very dissapointed with the op. Work is going on everyday, the standard Guage lines is being constructed. At least i know that from agbado serious work is going on, and will continue down to iddo (oyingbo). Some places have not been really touched for some reasons which I believe it's cos those are traffic prone areas,These are places like agege, mangoro(the part that leads to Guinness ikeja), underbridge (after jibowu). They where just repaired for the main time while they construct other places. Once places like that are blocked for a day, it is problem for lagosians. The work in these places mentioned are slow because of the cars that passes this place. Excavation have been done to a point at underbridge after jibowu. I'm not being political. I'm only here to clear the air. The standard Guage rail lines are being constructed and it's a masive project. |

fiizznation: Well you know the penalty that was given to Chelsea in the game wasn't actually a penalty because Adrian's hand didn't have much contact with Abraham's legs. I even though Abraham would be yellow-carded for diving. Anyway that's a story for another day. The officiating was bad, but eventually Liverpool came out victorious. The Christensen handball was a pk. The guy threw his hands at the ball. The ref knocked it off. I don't know why. P |
