I love exercising and find I am at my max if I listen to music or a real good book.Where and how can I purchase audio books preferably novels |
Only yesterday I was ruminating on how wealthly yours truly would be if I could have some honest business partners; small businesss of N250,000-N500,000.What would it be like, I mused, if I had someone running the business honestly; I will provide capital and infra-structure. The profits would be divided 50/50 and at the end of a financial year, I would set this partner up as long as He replaced himself with someone honest too., so the beat goes on. Ha! might as well wish for the olde country Timbucktu or Dahomey! |
My resolve's broken as I look at the pictures of real yummy cakes. Cakes I love;and should have no business doing cos I know so much about white flour et al. That said, give me cake and a bottle of coca-cola . Shame this, cos I'm really not at the age to eat such junk. Give me, Give me this food one more time. Yesterday I bought loads of princess cakes, my friend bakes and sells them. was still ingesting till 2am while browsing NL. When I prayed.I felt guillty and as if it was a sin I had to confess. Gluttony is. Once my Liberian friend baked a cake with corn-flour. It was and is still is up to this day one of the best foods I have eaten. I eat them all, rice bread, banana bread but I keep telling myself I don't have a sweet tooth. I almost never eat candy though. |
@ topic Look at it this way again, lets say your prayers were hits (internet visit, browsing) on a site (HEAVEN), I can safely deduce HEAVEN got so many hits that day and time, which would have been good for business.-God's Business-the business of doing good, giving good and not withholding any good thing.Forgive my analogue with the internet lingo, I am currently deaf and dumb about it, not very literate. |
Mohawkchic, great post. I am crazy about nutrition, fruits and veg. Awright I'm also there for fashion and colours. Do keep posting more info about fruits. |
FIT FOR LIFE a book by Harvey Diamond and His wife, extensively tells you to eat fruit on an empty stomach, that is fruits must be eaten alone. It goes on to tell how we must wait for upward of twenty to forty-five minutes in case of certain fruits, watermelon and avocado, bananas, maybe pineapples before eating any thing else. I am an avid follower. Not only did I lose weight, I looked better and felt better. The book holds that food mixd with fruit putrefies. This info keeps me going. Of course this may have been my Eldorado, but you can never go wrong with befriending fruits, they are loyal and would never let you down and you look better. I eat all though I have some fave. Fruits are therapeutic too, my take. Look out for the ones appropiate to your need, f'instance, bananas and avocado help reduce blood pressure. Strictly I may not recommend taking them with your drugs since I eat fruits alone but I guess no harm done if you do. |
Garri drinking is not exclusive of the rich, race or age or in my case, time. It is a snack and if the so-called rich do not partake, then they are made poorer for the unexperience, the burst of pure fulfilment on your taste buds. My friends who are not Africans drink garri. thanks to moi. The children in my walk of life drink garri. I drank garri so tey up to when I was pregnant. However, my mother's help told me it was bad for the baby. How true I don't know, but she was Yoruba; I believe they know a lot about these things. My daughter will be famous for her recipes, oh yes in garri combo forever outdoing herself. I am strictly the peanut -evaporated milk- sugar-ice-cube -in -water type but have to cut down on sugar. If you think Ijebu garri is it, then you prolly be sent! when you taste Togolese garri. Do we talk about suya too.? |
Look at it this way, most people , about, 35-50% ,( more I daresay),of a nation were praying at approximately the same time to the God of Heaven and earth. Granted they prayed about a particular petition, prayer point. The God I know gives exceedingly. abundantly above what you ask for or even perceive. U GO NIGERIA. na u biko. Father thank you for making a way to bring us all together to seek your face. YOU DID NOT CALL JACOB IN VAIN |
In His Holy Place, God is FATHER to the fatherless. This keeps me strong and going. Roamed to this thread, and I hurt even, after decades. Another thing I refuse to let go of the memories of my parents. I speak lovingly and fondly of them always. Very recently I realise that they could never really die since I am still alive. I sound like my mother and act like my father. Uncanny you think? Wait for this, my daughter has the table manners of my mother and she was months old when my mom passed on. I dont think they really die except you want them to. |
I lived in Port-Harcourt where I ate oysters a whole lot. While in Lagos, I buy oysters at Yaba, Tejuosho market, downstairs. This was before the fire. It's seasonal though, and, not very popular so you have to ask to be directed.I hope you find it cos I know how you feel. However you could get the dried ones in Port-Harcourt. Good luck in your search and its sweet you want this for your wife. |
