Romance / Re: How Long Can You Wait For A Girl To Accept Your Proposal by zenatta: 12:59am On Apr 11, 2013
edogu: My question is how long is 2 long 2 wait.

...for as long as you want to I guess. If I can remember correctly, one of you, Smokie, waited, 24 years for a chance to tell Alice, how he felt about her, and to get a second glance. The waiting paid off, not the way he expected, as he went on to become a HUGE Rockstar.
Fashion / Re: Damilola Adegbite At The ‘Flower Girl’ Premiere: Sexy Or Tacky? by zenatta: 12:07am On Apr 11, 2013
One's sense of style must be highly questionable if they have to accept all that their stylist or designer offers. It shows the level of their know-how.
The outfit is classless. I am shocked this imperfection is coming from a 'Tinsel' star, the creme-de -la-creme of Series Tv.
Could it be the case of "wash a pig, comb a pig....!!!" I sincerely hope not.

...seeing that the most pathetic slots have been taken. First, it was no shoes, now this. Well you can tell them you commented on this thread. This is 'woe.be.gonish' enough!

...good for her!!!
Why, she'd be off Nkwobi and pepper soup for good.
Romance / Re: I'm Going To Marry A White Man by zenatta: 11:10pm On Apr 10, 2013
Subomi-luv:
I have come to a realisation that it would be best to marry a white man.

Ever since i was younger i always felt this attraction to white men,

white men... just cannot get out of my system.

White men,

The Alpha males.
no blk man would do the same as he does.

I guess in the past i was shy to admit it.

I love white men and i cannot lie.

Since this is your overwhelming desire, my candid advise to you would be, stay focused and committed to your desire. Do not waiver. DO NOT WAIVER. Do not waiver. If you do, all the 'yaba lefts' in the world would be too small to accomodate you. Hope you catch my drift.
And shove action into your desire. But something worries me, I hope your desire is not an escapist avenue or a vengeful one. If your desire is pure, no mountain will be too high babe.
Celebrities / Re: Onyinye Onungwa 's Letter To Linda Ikeji by zenatta: 10:39pm On Apr 10, 2013
I need to understand this, why is she calling the other woman names. Is her boyfriend totally innocent. One would have thought her boyfriend would be her target, the person with whom she has an axe to grind.
If I were secure in my relationship, I will not lose sleep over a groupie. Yay!

Fashion / Re: Choosing The Right Foundation.... by zenatta: 1:15am On Apr 05, 2013
obi123: i have noticed some foundations have red hues and yellow hues,
what is this hue thing, is it the underlying shade or the effect or what really ? i really dont get it

In the world of beauty care, make-up, spa, fashion etc, a good knowledge of your skin type/skin tone is a perequisite. When buying foundation or other make-up or considering what to wear, it is necessary you know your skin tone and skin type to enable you look your best. A make-up artist can help with these information but they are not so hard to know if you observe details about yourself.

Career / Re: Should Workers Who Use "My Oga At The Top" Joke During Office Hours Be Punished? by zenatta: 5:01pm On Mar 16, 2013
acidtalk:

Let us be serious and sincere for once. Even if this joke is said on forums and amongst friends during social gatherings should employees of top organizations (or any organization at all) take such joke to their work place?

Wait...wait, wait...I can catergorically tell you... that my oga at the top... has made known... to his oga at the top of a multiple website, www, that is making waves in town. His Oga at the top says "its going to be a long-lasting, messy richocheting affair, people will roflmao, some will lol, others will lwkmd, but I will only smh, that's all".
Celebrities / Re: Patience Ozokwor vs. Liz Benson by zenatta: 2:16pm On Mar 11, 2013
For a minute, a delicious one, I thought this thread was about the AMVCA, as regarding, Patience O and that dish cloth bolero/vileda/cape Liz was wearing over a seemingly beautiful evening gown.
Who knows, maybe someone, will 'thread' the incidence.

Yes, I did and so did five continents. I'm glad you brought it up. (I hate having to be the one to bring up these things). Someone should stop Vimbai already, she thinks she's 'all that' yet we are 'not just into her'
Celebrities / Re: Kunle Afolayan's Native Attire at AMVCA: Hit or Miss? by zenatta: 1:57pm On Mar 11, 2013
Too drab, too muted, since you asked. Boring colour, run-of-the-mill embroidery, voluminous. The Minister of Tourism in his glitter was more eclectic; though he needs to change tailors, and Hafiz Oyetoro made tremendous effort. It was a funfare affair not a Soiree or Sunday Church Service.

U no well...

Would you blame me! I kept going in circles with her posts. I kinda understand it now - take a stand, cower behind a screen when the bullets start coming, push that stand aside and become an activist or own an ngo while using the stand as a prop. So illuminating!

Find Out!:

Lol. Like i said not too long ago on a thread dealing with a similiar issue, she's FRAGAINST grin
I may be wrong but i think she's against it but she thinks she's not supposed to be against it since in her view there are more important things to be against apparently undecided

FRAGAINST, wow, you may have just populated the dictionary. Thanks for clarifying. For a moment, I thought she was eating her words. Thanks for letting me know she is against herself, for being for, what she should be against but is not against. Very clear I tell you.
Celebrities / Re: Genevieve & Karen Igho: Worst Dressed Celebrities At AMVCA 2013 by zenatta: 10:39pm On Mar 10, 2013
Could someone please explain to me what @Ogugua88 is on about. Is she for Genevieve's scandalous dress or against it or for and against it or for, for or for, against for... I could go on.
Celebrities / Re: Genevieve & Karen Igho: Worst Dressed Celebrities At AMVCA 2013 by zenatta: 10:24pm On Mar 10, 2013
markingday: Since when does society dictate to a woman what or not to wear?

...that very moment Nigeria's Sweetheart, Queen Genevieve ran to some two-bit boutique to change into that monstrous canary-yellow ill-fitting clothes.

Thing this, Genevieve knew, more than all in favour of her white evening gown here, that it was unacceptable. She was just testing the waters. Even the outrageous Denrele was aghast. Let's face it we are Africans and there are certain lines we cannot cross.

I salute her sensibility and humility for changing into another outfit. She's still my babe and let's stop thrashing her already - she knew we would, notice the raw fear in her eyes.
Food / Re: Have You Ever skemp Meat From Your Mummy's Pot? by zenatta: 7:12pm On Mar 10, 2013
No, never did. I guess it was because I did not need to. I am an only child; get the picture?

kennytidistar: SOMEONE SAYS;
"If u've never stolen meat from ur mum's pot before, it simply means ur mum isn't a gud COOK...:|"

Not in my case though, my mom was a very good cook. She singlehanded cooked the meals for all the entertaining that went on in my house because my Father's job entailed we entertain often.
Celebrities / Re: Genevieve Nnaji's Dress At AMVCA 2013 Red Carpet by zenatta: 5:30pm On Mar 10, 2013
This dress is divine. And this is the Genevieve I know. Notice the euphoria and the glow on her face. Compare with the woe-be-gone look and total lack of confidence in the yellow ill-fitting gown and the nail polish against the yellow background. Hang on, I don't approve the decolletage, its a low taste. She should have reconstructed the top and she'd have been our usual queen. Genevieve that yellow monstrousity isn't you.
Thank you @ajetunblog, you're a star for providing that photo, looks like its gone extinct.

Celebrities / Re: Genevieve Nnaji's Dress At AMVCA 2013 Red Carpet by zenatta: 5:02pm On Mar 10, 2013
ypzilanti: Does she not look prettier in the yellow dress?

No, she doesn't. Look closely, this is not the Genevieve we see on screen. For one thing, her radar is all wonky, off kilter and I can smell her fear, her nervousness, from here. Didn't know she had dressed into another outfit. This outfit is either not hers or one of those dresses one leaves at the back of the ward-robe hoping a fairy godmother/seamtress will amend its irregularies.
This dress gives her an exaggerated torso and I can see the outline of her underwear, probably a spanx.
Her silhouette is all bad, the gown's design creates a distorted image of her lower body.
This gown doesn't do justice to Genevieve as we know her, that beautiful, super confident lady.
Fashion / Re: Jim Iyke's Outfit At AMVCA 2013: Hit Or Miss? by zenatta: 4:30pm On Mar 10, 2013
My question still is what possessed him. Ok, it was a devil-may-care, rakish, swag thing and knowing him, he would have pulled it off if only madam-look-at-me-look-at-me-its-all-about-me, his co compere, had not dominated the podium. She made him pong with that body language he defensively exuded, by taking his ping.

The poster is not lying, i watched the award from the beginning, she was wearing the white outfit when she arrived at the red carpet denrele even yab her small, dunno why she changed later on

No wonder her body language was devoid of any confidence, quite unlike her. Another person who exuded timorousness was Jim Iyke. Please do tell, what went wrong with him, apart from that hideous outfit. Shame on them, Rita D was badly dressed but she carried it with panache.
