If this story is true and not just the product of an overactive imagination, then I think the family should sit her down and request a DNA test. My spidey senses tell me that the man she now plans to marry is actually the father of that "lovely girl," not your brother. Someone repeatedly firing his wife for seven years without pregnancy can't just have a baby out of the blue. The woman may have used medical intervention, like IVF, or human intervention, such as a sperm donor — most likely the man she's now planning to marry. Additionally, if the DNA test proves that your brother isn't the father, it will give you the right to seize your brother's properties, businesses, and other assets you mentioned, which you seem to be eyeing.
