Ejadike:80k+ for the 6/64 and 94k for the 6/128 |
A friend had same problem with her Tecno pop 1 few months ago. Not even me could proffer a solution, she had to sell the device then. You can try a complete rom flash or factory reset. These are two extreme measures. Only do these if all alternatives have been exhausted. |
naijasensei:Zurkerberg isn't interested, because letting these apps run wild also allow data leak that won't be traced back to them. |
naijasensei:Hopefully that won't be the case. On the other front, there over a 100 app that have gotten more demanding after few updates, of my head I can tell you Facebook and Instagram. A smartphone like someone said "is the companion you are closest to these days." Smartphones are getting smarter and hungrier now, instead of increasing spead of cpus and gpus. More cores will bring a less burning solution. You can have 3 cores performing at 2.5GHZ making a total of 7.5GHZ on chip speed. But it will be crazy to have 2 cores running at 3.7GHZ each and not expect the device to become a frying pan. |
BillionaireTalk:Not from were I stand. Transision took advantage of Nigerians for years, by playing on their ignorance. If Transsion was providing value for money product years past, they won't be deliberately duping Nigerians now. The difference between then and now is this. Nigerians are more aware now, and if Nigerians were this aware those years ago... Another company would have been welcomed not this untrusted and unreliable Transission fellas causing an uproar in the tech industry. |
atheistandproud:Yep, Mediatek had litte or no help from Technology. This was shown in their arrogant dive into the chipset market hoping to manipulate people into the more core theory. They have a credible team of mathematicians and physicians now, they will get it done if they try again. I feel MediaTek have the prototype of this already, hence their new found energy burst trying to push their name in the chipset market as a reliable brand. Lets be realistic, if Mediatek is able to pull of the decacore or even more core stunt. It will take snapdragon a long time to catch up. And the Chinese will be all over that. |
seunfly:On the contrary, 10 core is better. Instead of have big-little core configuration of 2 powerful core, 2 less powerful core and 4 average performing core. For 10 cores it becomes this. 3 powerful cores. 3 less powerful cores. 4 average performing cores. And there is no power consumption problem, instead, its more power efficient. When the more power intense cores are not needed, they are completely dormant. But when they are needed, the 3cores will complete tasks 20% faster against the performance of the 2 cores. This actually brings better performance and more efficient use of the battery life and less heating. The only shortcoming when the 10core architecture is considered, its developing a cpu smart enough to properly distribute the workload appropriately. I am confident that issue won't be a problem for long, if it can be done for Octacore, decacore isn't far behind. Some unverified information/speculation are claiming Mediatek is working on a twelve core chipset with ARM. Please remember where you heard it first. From me :} |
It is this simple analogy by the op here that explains why Mediatek's Dimensity 800 is causing a lot of troubles to Snapdragon's midrange 5G chipsets. The midrange SD 765 and the new 690 5G chip are finding the Mediatek Dimensity 800 too strong an opponent to deal with, the cores on the Mediatek Dimensity 800 are crazy good and fast. Sd is preparing an answer though; 775G. |
seunfly:Very true sir.. Its why the objective is to push potential smartphone buyers towards the chipset research and inquisition path. Being ignorant as regards to this is no longer an acceptable commodity, there are known assailant waiting to pounce on that weakness for personal gains and a lot of enlightened people in the tech universe won't have that. I like deca-core chips shall.. The more the merrier... Sad the technology to archive that is not available on a large scale production for midrange and highend chipsets yet. I trust mediatek to try again, they tried it once, they will spring it up again for the midrange department. |
BillionaireTalk:That is the sole purpose of this thread sir. I[and every well meaning Nigerian] is[are] like the mechanic you take with you to buy a car, he/she enlightens you on the car that best fits your need and is worth your hard earned money. You can choose to ignore the mechanic's advice. But that path only has a signboard that reads this route leads to tears Ireland |
DragnetisaKuk:I used to think Nigeria is a country where everyone looks out for themselves because nobody cares about another person, not even those related by blood. I was pleasantly surprised to see otherwise; people really, honestly do care. I have seen people give solid advice, I have seen people give arms, I have seen people give love and all this at no cost to the receiver. I honestly wasn't expecting this much crowd when the need to notify the public of Transission's modus operendi was flagged. But now look, people are trooping in every second and contributing their unpaid effort to ensure the victims of this overwhelming scam is as minimal as possible. |
sunshineV:Octacore is having an 8man team complete a task. |
I will get battered for doing this, but I will engage it anyway. Why would any want a device like the redmi note 7 pro when there is already a note 8 pro and note pro? Let's not even consider the Samsung C series, a line up Samsung has abandoned. Please get any of these devices for your friend instead of going 2 generations back. Redmi note 9pro/9s. Realme 6. Huawei 10x. Redmi 10x[China only deal] In fact sef, the redmi 9 is a better option than any of old daddies you want to pick from... A phone should have at least a 3year usage plan. Going back in time makes the phone a 6years or more plan, and that is not healthy. |
Some unseen forces are stunting the reach of our resolve. But we march on... Have you asked the question today? If not, ask now. Which of the @Sony 64mp image sensor is present on the @TECNOMobileNG camon 15 premier? |
TrollKiller:Indeed sir, to be exact. A senior representative in Sony marketing arm told me weeks ago, Sony won't bend except I can get a lot of people to join the inquisition to make it a public matter. I dey try, but the awareness seem to not be enough. Sony wants to help, but the laws governing their marketing strategy won't let them... I am not sure, but Sony may have already contacted Tecno/Transission holdings on the matter, and pending Tecno's decision, Sony might delay on this forever. Except I can get at least 90 or more persons tweeting this Which of the @Sony 64mp image sensor is present on the @TECNOMobileNG camon 15 premier? in a day for at least 1week, Sony won't bulge, we can agree I don't trust Tecno or Transsion to be honest now.. If this happens, Twitter would notify Sony and Tecno on the uproar the inquisition is causing, and Tecno and Sony would have to give a public statement on the matter via twitter to quench the uprising. Twitter is working to halt the advertising of false product on their platform, Tecno might lose their verified signature if false advertising is found in their dealings. |
atheistandproud:They are asking for certain proprietary disengagement. That is, if they comment on the matter I will be under legal obligation to not state or quote the name Sony in my injunction or the source of my findings, and I will be fully responsible for my disclosure. I am not even allowed to share the follow up mail via screenshot anymore. But I am working on something, and hopefully it will soften Sony's resolve. Let's be honest, if I come out and say viaaaam.... Tecno didn't use a Sony lens... Wetin that one go mean? Except I can get at least 3 or more reputable sources who will stick it out publicly. Na waste. But if Sony publicly addresses this issue.... The argument is dead. |
Edited |
DragnetisaKuk:You are very right sir. But not only that but also this. Tecno claimed they used a 48mp camera lens on the Camon 15 pro, on an mtk p35 chipset. A lot of us wasn't buying that ambiguous claim. Tecno in an attempt to push back the inquisition actually worsen a sensitive situation by claiming they used a Sony 64mp camera lens on the camon 15 premier and went thus far to state they used pixel binning Technology to archive this feat. ************ let me leave that details out for now. To call that dubious bluff by Tecno, a new inquiry was launched to ascertain the actual Sony 64mp sensor in the Tecno camon premier. I have a few stops of my own... I will update this thread on a relevant information soon. |
Chuksteric:I don come sir... Watching and observing. |
Report this on twitter and share the link here, so we on twitter can help carry the message along... |
edoairways:I don't know why they like worrying you... Just show them the three phones maybe they will rest... Na wah... You people will not rest until turn edoairways to edoline abi? |
10thElement:I know you can read. I am sure you know I am somebody's SON. But what I don't get is your impersonation claims.... Do you know I can sue you for false indictment? |
TheOdd1sOut:I was telling Edoairways this few days ago, you grow by learning from others who made mistakes so you don't have to repeat the same mistakes. But he seem to believe otherwise edoairways:It's sad seeing Transission go down this part, but it's Nigeria over any single entity. A nation is greater than one greedy organisation or individual. From this micromax theory, I can say I understand what is happening to Transission. Transision probably bought a stockpile of mtk p22, p35 and co chipsets in abundance; like I initial wrote before. ZesusHVWritter:Now mtk has moved to more powerful offerings Transission is finding it difficult to move their product lineup because they are stuck with a pile of trash they need to force into the Nigerian market. I am honestly sad for Transsion now. But I don't pity them. |
Eh..... Yeahhhhh.... Not the reply we want, but it's sure getting the attention we need. Don't relent... We are getting the answer which is most needed, it may take a while, it's coming.

Huawei honor x10 is also another good contender. Redmi k30 5G is good too. |
Liposure:Before coronavirus, straight no doubt. Galaxy A2 core. It was sold for 20.2k, now its 32.4k. If you want a lowend phone this time, that is the only device I would advise you to buy. Any other device is a gamble, its never advisable to gamble with money you can't easily replace. |
mikeycharles:I am going to assume I am the only one that spotted this discrepancy. The plain truth here is, you are not disappointed by xiaomi or its product. You are misinformed. Let me attempt to help quench that rising tension of confusion. Wanting a premium feature from a midrange is a wrong decision and often leaves the search wanting more than available. It's a misinformation on your part if you desire a premium feel but chooses a midrange path. Now, the reason why these brands continue to be top on my suggestion list for me/potential smartphone buyers is this. They offer one or two flagship features for their low-midrange device. I am talking of Xiaomi, Realme, Huawei, Oppo and lenovo. Take for instance the redmi 9 a lowend device for its class. Comes with FHD, type c, and NFC. These features are only prominent on flagship devices, getting it in a lowend smartphone is nothing short of amazing. Does this makes the redmi 9 a flaship device? Of course not, you would have to be insane to think it does. A flagship, midrange and Lowend devices are usually categorised by their chipsets and build quality, before camera and battery. A flagship device for 2020 is expected to have the snapdragon 865 chipset and at least a front and back glass with corning gorillas 5 protection sided by aluminium frame. Any device with lower than these, is just a flagship wannabe midrange/lowend device. This above illustration up there, is why certain segment of the technologically inclined individuals on nairaland have taken their unpaid knowledge and keen interest in educating anyone who is hungry for knowledge on what an actual smartphone should have for its respective price and category. Take for instance the Tecno camon 15 premier priced at 115k. Considering the specification and build quality, that is a midrange wannabe lowend device. It shouldn't cost more than 30-45k. Switch your attention to the infinix note 7. That is also a midrange wannabe be lowend device. It shouldn't be priced above the 45k mark either. Yet it cost around 80k. You my friend wasn't disappointed by what you got in the redmi note 7, you were misinformed and for this I apologise on behalf of the source you got misled by. Stick around the phone section more, and soon you will have the knowledge you need when choosing or recommending a smartphone. |
I don laugh go shook my Huawei p40 pro for inside elephant trunk ooohn.... Wetin lie no go suffer for Transission hand. |
Sony has refused to speak on the matter via mail. The reason behind, according to the mail before is due to the product from Tecno being a non-Sony product. In this second mail, one thing is sure. The Sony representative did check the work we are doing on twitter, otherwise he wouldn't have chosen to use the Mr title instead of the initial Mr/Mrs. But all hope is not lost, twitter tag goes on. And I will be sending a 3rd mail.

I wan go.... Saw this.... Rolled back my scrolling chair., glasses pulled down. Good thread awesome topic. |
edoairways:Making mistakes that others have made is a show of ignorance not growth. You don't have to make mistakes others made. Learn from their errors, avoid their mistakes. Choose a path filled with success. That how the smart operates. Only the dull repeats a series of mistakes made by others. I have made the mistake of buying Transission devices and suggesting same device to others. Instead of letting others go through my path and experience, by making my mistake and having a delayed growth. They listen to me. Now they are growing without making the same mistakes I made. |
