ON THE EXPECTED FEES

The accommodation fee is certain I.e N14,000
The school fee varies from faculty to faculty, but it is between the range of N20-25,000
Following these, there are other dues to be paid, such as the faculty due, dept due, hall due, etc. The amount for these dues also vary but in the absence of an abnormal situation, the highest of it should not be more than N6,000
You will also need some micellaneous fee like about N2000 for the payment of GES textbooks, etc

In summary, a total of N60,000 should do for your entire registration process including accommodation.

N.B. This is however not the exact figure and it is subject to change

ON ACCOMMODATION
After a hall has been allocated to you, you will be given the opportunity to pick a room of your choice via the university portal www.ui.edu.ng. Once your preferred room has been approved, you would be required to pay a sum of N14,000 as accommodation fee to the banks which will be specified to you by the school via the above mentioned portal. After the payment at the bank, you will input your payment details online via the university portal, this will confirm your payment to the school, and you room will be officially allocated to you following this. Upon resumption on Feb 13, the various halls would be opened for Clearance to begin. It is at this stage that you will get the key to your room once your hall clearance has been completed.

ON 2015/2016 ACADEMIC CALENDER

The school officially resumes 2015/2016 academic session on Feb 13th. The session will run through till November when the sessional exams will be written

Any other vital information you need to know will be supplied as time goes on. Meanwhile, I implore you all to get prepared for your registration, especially the medical registration which will start very soon. Don't be caught unaware.

Goodmorning and Happy New Year
Now that festivity is over, you all need to be prepared for the task ahead. Between this month of January and February when the school will resume, there are lots to be done especially for you new intakes.
The medical registration will start very soon and this will require you to do your xray either in school or in a hospital accredited by the university. Like I once said, the medical registration doesn't cost much than the token you pay for your xray which is often around N1,200 (if there is no change).
The allocation of halls and matric numbers will follow and this will most likely be done early February. The school will allocate to you a hostel of their choice and you will apply for a room of your choice via the university portal (be reminded that the hall allocated to you will be your hall till you graduate from UI).
Furthermore, payment of school fees and accommodation fee will follow. Accommodation fee is N14,000 while school fees vary depending on faculty. Meanwhile it is most times often between the range of N20,000 and N25,000.
Following this, there are still other minor registration like the KDL (library) registration, departmental registration, faculty registration, hall registration and so on. Meanwhile these are often done after the school resumes.
The above is a summary of what you are going to face as new students beginning from this January. As each of this registration begins, you will surely be informed. Be rest assured that I am here to effectively put you through on a successful registration process
Goodluck and Happy New Year

I have been seeing some candidates addressing their Letters of References as "To Whom It May Concern". Please, do not take that kind of letter to the school because nobody will accept it from you. You should address your letter to the Registrar, University of Ibadan. Please, Take Note. Thanks

Story so far,......

It is with tears of joy I am writing this. It all began in 2011 with unilag; nothing!

I took UI to heart the following year and I've consistently written her Post-UTME twice before this without hitting my bull's eye. But now, I have a reason to say Thank you LORD.

And to tell you, I've been battling WAEC/GCE since 2010. I could say I have written WAEC/GCE almost 8 times before now!

Mehn, I have the reason to say Thank you Lord

I wanted to give up last you. I cursed and blamed God. Decided I wasn't going to go at it anymore. I was going to end my life. But you made me see that,..........

"A man who keeps trying(to get at his goals) is never a Failure. But a man who gives up - is the one labelled with that downgrading tag/name 'FAILURE'.”

Finnian A. George.

Yap, no one ever calls a man who keeps trying, a failure - but the man who gives up is a total Failure, a whitewashed one.

To those of you who want to give up or kill yourself or; are renting your angers at UI that "I prepared so hard" “I don't deserve that score” and lot more.

Let me tell you, I over-read last year that, my Library and all its members knew me.

My reading pals were so full of my praise and had the believe I could get 100/100 in UI's post-UTME but when the result came out, I had 60; LOL,........after all my reading.

And all me friends got in leaving me behind. Even with less score than my 60 to other schools on merit.

Yet, this year that I didn't even prepare hard as I did last year, see where me God has landed me.

Laughing+crying.

So I want to ask you some questions,

“What are your fears?”

I say, you can have fears but don't surrender. Don't let your fears have you.

The people that are running at their dreams are finding winners to attach themselves to.

Get out there and look for those who have scaled through and you'll hear how much they had to go through to get to where they are! Mehn, I'm thankful to God for Taylor184 for meself.

"No one ever beats those who never gave up."

“Every champion was once a contender who refused to give up.”

I will just leave this here until after a successful clearance,..........

LORD, complete that miracle you promised in my life. I stand in awe of you!!!

A big thanks to Taylor184.

Congratulations to all of you who made the cut off for your respective courses. Its not you but God. Those who didn't meet the cut off should not see themselves as failure but be rest assured that greater things lie ahead for you. If you feel you like to change your course, the courses that are capable of being changed to will soon be advertised on the university website. You can then choose a suitable course that fits into your UTME and O'level combination.
I wish you all, the best in your endevours. Be free to call me and make enquiries

My brother, if anyone guesses any cut off mark for you, he's just deceiving you. Its better you wait for the official cut off by the university which will be released soonest. Cut off mark is based on the level of performance in a department. So its beyond guessing. Wish you all the best

As the admission progresses we shall try our best to update and keep you in the know as from now. Feel free to ask any question.

Good afternoon Greatest Uites to-be. It is my pleasure to be here. I am Adegoke Kehinde by name and K.CENT by alias. I am a 300 level student of the prestigious University of Ibadan, (the First and the best).
Over the years, I have found it joy to assist incoming students in your admission process by supplying you with information that will make every step you take in your admission easy. (N.B. I do this pro-bono, that is, for the good of the public and I do not expect anything whether in monetary or any other form in return). My joy and satisfaction is to see you guys complete your admission/registration processes successfully without any mistake nor stress.
I have been passive on this forum all this while because I have been busy with a whole lot of things in school which has been taking the bulk of my time. Current new students of UI who will be your one year senior can testify to my efforts in making their admission much easier during their time (last year). Here again, I count you all special to have my services delivered to you again this year, and I count myself special to work with wonderful people like you all.
