Tragedy struck in Umuokara community of Orba in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State after a fight between two brothers led to the death of the younger one. It was learnt that the deceased, Ngwu Sunday, has the same mother with the suspect identified as Ngwoke Chukwudi but different fathers. The incident which happened on Friday saw the suspect engaging his younger brother in a fight over a yet-to-be establish reason. Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ebere Amaraizi, in a statement said the suspect hit his younger brother with iron on the head, adding that the injuries led to his death. “The deceased was hit with a piece of iron on the head and he fell down and became unconscious. It was further gathered that efforts made to revive him as he was rushed to a nearby hospital proved abortive as the medical doctor on duty confirmed him dead. The state command of the Police has commenced a full scale investigations into the alleged incident, with a view to arresting the suspect who after committing the act took to his heels,” Amaraizu said.
