If something is real closing your eyes to it will never magically wish it away. Reality does not make noise. |
He burned her probably to get rid of evidence. |
ifex370:Extraordinary comment. A thousand likes for every word in your post. Girls with brain....have no price tag. Experience is my teacher. |
Zekkmixes:My dear, no such thing as 'build a man'. You are either a leech or a helper..... but make no mistake about it - you can never be his builder. |
It's a shame that every missing adult lady is having a good time with her bf in the opinion of most Nigerian youths. She may have been kidnapped by rapists or ritualists or may even be lying in a remote hospital from injuries sustained in an accident. Who knows? Any factor could be responsible for her being missing. Pegging it to a particular action of spending time with a lover in situations like this is quite unbecoming and utterly absurd. |
ImBae, I understand you are hurt, betrayed and victimised by dudes peddling false love. That's life, ImBae, that's life. Many have it rosy and many don't. Concerning your plan, half of the effort and time you'll invest in building a false marriage with muddy bricks will be more than enough to build a real marriage with strong bricks, a real shelter for you and your kids and husband, not one that easily collapses at a touch leaving you and your kids vulnerable to the harsh elements of life. It's your life anyway but if you knew that the $50 you planned to use to purchase a wooden chair at A is twice more than enough to purchase a complete set of furniture that oozes comfort at X so that the wooden chair looks pale in comparison to the latter, what would you do? No, I'm not selling the idea of marriage to you cos everyone has their life to live. If you want to remain single all your life, that's as fine as getting married. Both are not without pros and cons. However, by now you should know my point - half of the effort you plan in building a home with shaky foundation is more than enough in building one with firm and solid foundation, one that will last unlike the former. Gudluck to you in your love life and know that there are very faithful men out there. Don't judge the apple tree by one or two rotten fallen apples you happen to come across. |
coogar:Incorrigible ignoramus who thinks mothers who suckle their babies are pedophiles. Keep in mind your mother and sisters, your wife (if there is or if there will be), cousin sisters aunties, nieces, grandmothers, great grandmothers and a long line of them are retired pedophiles, practicing pedophiles and pedophiles in the making. You should be kept in a zoo and not allowed to roam freely with humans. Anuofia. |
coogar:The way your mother sexually abused you and your sister(s) as babies? This...this is just sick thought. You need attention urgently.

tartar, I have no doubt in my mind you're a bloodthirsty bigot whose hands are soiled with the blood of innocents. Shame on a rotten you. |
Edwife, ur answer is d wisest. Ur wealth of experience speaks 4 itself. The age is not as important as the level of financial, emotional and psychological preparation required to make a stable marital union. |
silence is the best answer for a fool..no doubt. |
Mopoll and Princewell2012, come and defend this grave allegation against a man of God who is also a man of integrity or be revealed and labeled as the sons of perdition that you are. I don't attend Chosen but pastor Lazarus is my role model in terms of humility so I found this quite shocking and disappointing but for Peterugwu's statement to the contrary. |
ademega: for His name to b glorified and also know how it feels to b jobless ,this will make him to have compassion on such people and b eager to help them at the slitest opportunityhmmm. I shudder at your response. First, how did you come about the conclusion that God kept him from getting a job for four years? Secondly, even if God did that, who has known the mind of God so that he can counsel Him? I am baffled @ your answer. That question is bereft of intelligence and should be treated as a rhetorical question....to avoid further meaningless debate. |
Larrystan, it is not wrong for a christian to wear ear rings. I just don't understand where people got that doctrine. |
Melodies, Munner, Jansie, God be praised and may He continue to fill your lips with more testimonies come 2014. |
rationalmind: ^ ^ ^ ^The same laziness that prevented you from reading properly before jumping into a blind argument. Oh, you should have created 5 or 10 monikers to give yourself more than a Like. It is the trend in NL. |
As you step into the New Year, may you and your Family experience God's blessings in their fulness, great victories, long life, unceasing prosperity, miraculous favour and all-round protection from evil. |
rationalmind: But why did God keep you jobless for four years before eventually giving you a job in 2013?what a dumb question from someone who thinks he is parading intelligence. Did God tell you He kept Op jobless for four years? Did Op imply God kept him jobless for four years? He merely opened the thread to testify that God blessed him with a job after many years of joblessness and invited people to share their testimonies. And here you are proudly parading ignorant assumption in your clueless zeal to diminish his testimony because you did not read properly before commenting. Ok. Wait. Lemme guess. Maybe God kept him jobless for four years so that Op will value any job given to him when he gets one even if he found a job as a janitor, or bricklayer or something....or perhaps God kept him jobless because He could not find a decent job for Op for four years and when He luckily spotted a vacancy, God in His infinite mercy granted him that job even though the salary is poor (I think God told him to make do with his current job as economy is harsh)....or, yes, God absolutely forgot Op had graduated and was in need of a job but before He realized, four years had come and gone...poor Op. Poof! Beats me why God allowed world war I and II, why He allowed fire to raze a couple of buildings resulting in the loss of lives of many occupants, why He sent lightning that killed about 8 people in Malawi, why He just stared helplessly as Adolph Hitler sent millions to the graves, why He brought Colombus to the land that would become America and let him set his dogs on the original native indians of that land, killing them brutally, and worse, why He waited four years to give Op a job..mtcheww Always answer a fool according to his folly so that you will not be seen as a fool, too. Op, nice testimony. Shows God never abandons His children. |
double post. It would be great if the owner of nairaland, Seun, adds the option of deleting a post. |
Ifeness, don't mean to deviate from the topic but you asked for physical proof of hell and heaven. I think your question is utterly irrelevant. When spiritual phenomenon is debated, it is a known fact that the requirement of physical evidence to validate a spiritual fact is absolutely ridiculous. Besides, even if I have been there and back you will not believe because you just don't want to believe. Abraham, in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, was right when he said if they don't believe the prophets with them, they will never believe even if a person died and rose from the grave. |
I have searched the internet and I am convinced the Pope did not make that statement. The sources on the net are not reliable simply because their source is a blog. Na wa o. Pure character assasination at work. I urge you guys to desist from spreading this false news as it makes the peddlars false witnesses. I believed it once but after a few minutes of research I now know better. |
Op, it may seem Chris Okotie's church is not conducive for the spiritual growth of a christian but I think your assessment is incomplete on two grounds: 1. You left before the formal close of the service 2. It was just a one-time visit to his church. It would have been forcefully convincing if you attended regularly for, at least, a month before documenting your observation for public consumption. However, I see nothing 'morally' wrong with what he said or did in that particular service even if I disagree with his method of conducting service and would have taken a different path by placing greater emphasis on preaching the Word. It is a pity pastors have turned the church into a gathering for entertainment where members are just made to 'feel fine' rather than preach to convict them of their sins. Btw Op, really funny article. I ccouldn't help laughing while reading it. |
I want to get my facts straight before anything. I have decided to reserve my comments until I have gone through the JW site. |
Maximus85: [b]we have just one website www.jw.org go there and see for yourself. Will do just that. |
grandstar: This question can not be answered here. Its too lenghten and its objective is to cause confusion. Best you print it out and meet Witnesses one and one and enquire from them. You will receive answers backed up by the scriptures. The authors are apostates, probably witneses who were disfellowshiped. Apostle Paul said such try and draw away disciples - Acts 20:29-30. Always make sure that what ever is taught is defended by bible scriptures (Acts 17:11). Jesus did that- Matthew 4:1-10If a Witness could post a summary of Jehovah's Witnesses' creed, I mean the ones being practiced today, it would be much appreciated. Should I meet a Witness, I am sure to ask him/her to shed more light on the Rules of Jehovah's Witnesses. |
firestar: Seriously?Firestar, good evening to you. http://watchthetower.net/reasons.html is where I got the information. Yes I have met Witnesses but, unfortunately, I haven't come across any since discovering the information from the link above. I know it is ridiculous..that was my initial reaction when I read it. However, I have only posted it as it is. You can verify through the link given. |
Maximus85: [b] Wow! Can you beat your chest and say all these are true? Can you confirm all? Yes some of all these we do but majority of them (laughing) is so ridiculous. "Our Kingdom halls has no Windows" that sound so silly to me. Get to know them as see for yourself.please could you educate us on the ones that are no longer practiced...thank you. |
Just a glimpse at this set of beliefs will tell any observer that a lot is amiss in this religion. No offense intended. |
Op, like the way you began the thread. However, your beliefs are sincerely in error. I shall post the Jehovah's Witnesses' beliefs and some facts to serve as future reference point.. "...Of all items listed, only three have been discontinued. Only officially approved sexual practices are allowed in marriage 66. Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Halls have no windows 67. If they witness another Jehovah's Witness breaking the rules they must report them to the elders to be interrogated 68. They are forbidden to take a blood transfusion 69.
