Chai... Leaders of tomorrow...talking about d**k size as if it is any achievement. Well, this is what happens when a person's brain is under indefinite suspension and the d**k does the thinking. |
SALTandFIRE:The girl is not alive to confirm or refute the statement, is she? Mehn, relationships are risky ventures these days |
Opzy94:Yes, of course. Being born a savant does not in any way mean that the person must possess a certain disability. |
SmartyPants:do look up the meaning of savant or google it... |
constancefriday, at a point I thought the devil himself was speaking reading your replies to Ladylite. What has HOTR done to you? No comment. Mention and by so doing expose one thing among those you have seen in HOTR to the public. No comment. Next thing we know, you are cursing Ladylite and her family on top of claiming you are a pastor. There is so much wrong at your end. Remind me, what has HOTR done to you to make you rain invectives on another person? I seem to have missed it. |
Kingrexyl:truly, it is a shame. Nigeria is a climate that discourages the development of unique beings like savants. |
Roon9:hahahahaha. sai baba! |
hahahahaha! Even APC voters dey lament hahahaha. una vote buhari shey? we die here! blaggards!
|
GlorifiedTunde:I was reading to see if anyone would use this word. None but you. That boy is a savant in the flesh...a Nigerian for that matter. This is beautiful The dude saying the boy used a formula to recognize dates using either zeller rule or key value date....you are so DEAD WRONG. Google the savant "Kim Peek" aka the Rain Man and tell me he used zeller formula to memorise dates, books, phone numbers etcetera.... Kim and this 9-year old boy, Siju Olawepo, are just two among many savants. However, savants are a rare phenomenon. On CNN, I saw a program that featured a savant who could draw an entire landscape of buildings, trees, streets, everything after taking a look at it without the aid of a picture of that landscape and he would miss nothing in the drawing. In fact, savants are blessed. |
Op, did you skip your medication yesterday? |
Busted!!! |
sonnie10:I am glad Christians like you are on this forum where heresies and biblical presumptions prevail. That last sentence is my favourite. A billion times I have said it that the duty of a Christian is to just speak or preach the word of God. It is not our duty to convince or persuade anybody. The Holy Spirit is the One with the exclusive duty to convince sinners. One last thing, though not related to the topic, I hope you are not one of those preachers of Once-Saved-Always-Saved. |
It appears the Federal Government has erroneously misinterpreted the provision in Section 61 of Part 1 of the second Schedule of the 1999 Constitution which states that: The formation, annulment and dissolution of marriages other than marriages under Islamic law and Customary law including matrimonial causes relating thereto. Here, it said nothing about the powers of the Federal Government to register marriages. What this provision means is that the Federal Government has the power to make laws as regards the formation, annulment and dissolution of marriages to the exclusion of Islamic and Customary marriages. Section 1 (i) of the Fourth Schedule of the 1999 Constitution provides that the Local Government shall have the power to register all births, deaths and marriages. In other words, the power of registration falls within the jurisdiction of the Local Government. |
The Federal Government is acting in excess of the powers conferred upon it by the Constitution. The Constitution is crystal clear on the issue of the arm of government with powers to register marriages in the nation. |
girls, do not let any idiotic slowpoke belittle or degrade your value by pegging your worth above or below a particular age, especially the age of 30. That is what they will say but you will be shocked to discover many of them are willing to sell their kidney and liver to marry a white great-grandma who is older than their great great grandma of 110 years. As regards getting married to a man with two kids, I would not advise that. However, there are chances that it may turn out okay but the variables for making that a possibility are many that ignoring one may be to your detriment. Such variables like: would the guy spend greater love on his kids than he does on you? this leads to unfulfillment and emotional dissatisfaction what if his one and only desire is to look for a woman to play mother to his children and keep the home while he is away? forget all that romantic talk of love he has for you and consider this critically. taking care of the kids is serious burden which he cannot handle given his work schedule are you ready to live a life of walking on egg shells whenever it has to do with your relationship with the kids? their mother may not approve of anything you do as regards their welfare and may turn your home into a war zone? that may also include their father there will always be "your children" "my children" syndrome. so much of your argument will rise from this distinction. then, when the kids grow into rebellious teenagers (as kids will) it is easier dealing with them if they were your own kids as whatever you do to correct them (your step-children) may be misjudged or misinterpreted as hatred towards them while you show favouritism or leniency to your kids ....and on like that... Are you ready to subject yourself to such a life? Marry at your God-given pace. Don't let folks pressure you into a life of misery in the name of age. If age was a limiting factor, women should self-destruct once they cross a certain young age and have not had children. That is not the case. Why? Your greatest value as a woman is not in getting married or having children. Your greatest value is in your being a woman. Sarah in the Bible had a child at her old age...at her God-ordained time. Hannah had Samuel at her God-ordained time. God brought Ruth and Boaz together. God made Esther marry a king. Live your life knowing that nothing is impossible with God. |
saxy4c:and consistently inspiring along with many others even though I shall refrain from calling their names but they are known by others. ![]() |

priceaction:This is beautifully sound. Herein lies the map to success in trading. Thank you for this. |
meshpips:This is immaturity at its peak. Your reputation has been dented beyond any hope of redemption. Rather than quietly let the rage against you blow away on its own with time you rouse it with this needless curse as if you enjoy the negative comments about you. This is childish especially coming from a seasoned trader. Rather than curse why not keep the trade recommendation to yourself. Please, this room is for traders, trading and learning from others. One thing you have consistently failed to do is feel the pain of those whom you disappointed by losing their money at so short a period that it was hard to believe that someone of your experience in the market could lose that bad. Your focus now should be to redeem your image and reputation, and not to cause more damage to it with your actions |
@Michellekabod2, anyone who is known for all these flaws is sick and needs help urgently. A person who is ruled by the Spirit of God is teachable and humble. How can one help a person who is adamantly the opposite, who refuses to take the bitter pill of truth? @OkCornel, one can very well know true Christians on earth even before the day of judgment. Their fruit are always in consonance with the fruits of the Holy Spirit. That is how to distinguish between the genuine article from the poor imitation of the real. Amen to your prayer. |
OkCornel:I think he is trying to save face so that his credibility is not jeopardized and found wanting. That is why he has attempted to direct the attention of people away from his costly error by claiming he misunderstood what the Holy Spirit told him. May be the Holy Spirit caused the error in the first place by speaking to him in the deutsche language (who knows? who cares?). Now, the Holy Spirit is speaking to him in the hausa language, another ground from which will spring, perhaps, a greater error or lesser. What is certain as his uncertainty is that an error will spring forth from this confusing communication. My point is that jesusjnr follows voices rather than apply himself to diligent bible study. He recanted, not because he was convinced but because he was compelled. He was compelled to recant having brought to face the stark truth which he had always ignored but now can never deny on confrontation. A careful bible study would have sufficed to dispel his erroneous notions long before they formed root in him. Sadly, he cannot afford free 'careful' hence his reputation for heresy. This is a veritable and reliable indicator of a lazy christian. You are welcome, OkCor |
What Holy Spirit? You are delusional and justify your delusions by putting words in the mouth of God. Rather than admit that you erred you cowardly employed a device to escape humiliation by ascribing your change of opinion to a statement made by the Holy Spirit. They are 'voices' of your imagination, not the Holy Spirit's. The Holy Spirit is the same yesterday, today and forever. You would have known that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is not Allah if you read your Bible for once in your life. Besides, why would the "Holy Spirit" speak to you in the hausa language rather than in a language you can easily comprehend? Your life is run by voices you hear and that makes you a delusional fanatic who needs to be committed to a psychiatric ward immediately and indefinitely. You are a clear and present danger to humanity, and every second your freedom to speak or type heresies is not restricted poses an immeasurable risk to the life and wellbeing of people around you (God help them). @OkCornel, please think critically before you jump to conclusions. Everyone errs. Even error itself errs. No one, nothing, nothing-no one is immune from the defect of error save God. Error comes with the territory of living. However, admission of an error is colour different from justification of an error. Jesusjnr just committed the latter. Did you notice he did not cite a single passage in the Word of God as the basis for his conviction of error? Did you notice that he grounded and hinged his error on the misinterpretation of 'voices' rather than on his negligible understanding of the Word of God? Did you notice the general emphasis on the so-called "Holy Spirit" and his confused uncertainty in the lines: So maybe it was an error He was in the process of correcting beforehand, since He lives in me, He couldn't afford for me to be associated with any contrary spirit, especially considering the extent to which He intends to use me on Earth.Everytime he talked about his error he juxtaposed it with the Holy Spirit immediately to give the effect that he was operating under the Holy Spirit before the error, during the error and after the error. If that is the case was his previous conviction a statement of error? In answer to that, you will find he is as much confused as he is uncertain in the bolded. When I used the word 'his conviction' in relation to this subject that in itself is an error. Why? Did you also notice that his admission was under compulsion, and not conviction? Compulsion from what? Hear from the horse's mouth: and make Him to finally give me a breather. You say he admitted his error. My question to you is, "Did he?" |
jesusjnr:Oga, follow your advice and provide an answer to the question. MuttleyLaff: |
how some people wear ignorance like a badge of honour is beyond pathetic. that the God who sent Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world is the same as Allah... can only be the product of the confused mind of an unrepentant heretic. |
Anas09:I'm great . Happy new blessed and prosperous month to you. Took a leave as I was unable to endure the repulsive ignorance of the likes of jesusjnr and other misguided folks. However, you stayed. Really commendable. There is yet hope for them. Stay blessed, Anas, and have a wonderful month ahead. |
Anas09:Seriously, you have spare time for that preacher of heresy. His delusion has progressed by leaps and bounds. Been a while, Anas. Hope you are good. |
Same old same old. |
Sidben, can we chat privately? |
Wanderrerr, it is sad what you are going through. You feel your husband selfishly took advantage of you when you were most vulnerable and led you into a loveless marriage. To make matters worse you are being consumed with depression. I can only say you should give yourself time to love your husband and his family. Look for something you love doing and apply yourself to it for it to occupy your thoughts rather than accommodate parasitic thoughts of depression. Look for things that make you happy and do them. If all these don't work then please begin to consider quitting the marriage as your current state, if it persists, is toxic to both you and your husband and that will not help any one of you. Wish you the best. |
