Scientists have come to the conclusion that this Earth had a beginning which means there must have been a beginner.They also believe that space,time and matter came into existence at that beginning.This means that the beginner must be spaceless,timeless and immaterial.If he's outside of time, that means he knew how things would turn out from the beginning even though at the same time man has free will.The Bible says that the Lamb of God was slain before the foundations of the earth/world in the book of revelations.What does this mean?It means that everything that happens on this earth has already happened in God's mind.God is love and if there were no free will, there's no way you would have been able to make that choice to love God or man.Everything would have been by compulsion.Y'all should stop trying to be too logical when talking about God cos if he made you to be able to understand everything,do everything and be everywhere,why would you need Him?

Some people say that they want to enjoy their lives and that they'll give their lives to Christ on their death bed.I don't believe that people like this will be forgiven, why?God looks at your heart and not your words.He knows that these same people if rescued from their death bed would bounce right back into sin because they love it.They're not really willing to change and that death bed repentance is not sincere.They are not repenting because they hate their sins and want Jesus,they do so because they are scared of going to hell.God does not answer insincere prayers.Death bed repentance will only be accepted if that person is truly sorry.

These men of God talk too much.God didn't and won't tell anyone the exact time of his coming yet they want to predict on their own.After,when they call their prediction fails and they're called false prophets, they'll start trying to redeem their image.

A man's ego lies in being able to provide for,lead and protect his family and since he can't provide currently,he feels he has lost his regard or status as the man of the house so he's trying to show that he's still the head in negative ways.Some people don't handle bad situations well.I believe you all can try to make him see that you all still respect him by treating him the way you did before he became broke.He still needs to see that you still respect him and have regard for him as the man of the house despite his inability to provide.I believe he'll behave better.This is similar to a case of a secondary school boy who bullies his mates and does that just to feel better about himself cos of his low self-esteem.Don't bring up his incapability to provide in discussions or arguments cos it'll hurt him further.

I sometimes hug her while praying to God but our minds are completely focused on God and it's a serious business for us at the moment. When she's praying, I don't even look her way so she focuses. So, rather than trying to isolate oneself, one in fact ought to free oneself from all the lies and deceit one has been fed about what is bad and what is good because that is not what God wants for us.

Jesus Christ said something very interesting. He said that only those who become like Children(become open-minded) will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. He did not say the righteous only or the holy or those without sin.. no, He said only that who become like Children will enter the Kingdom of God.
That should cause you to think. How then can one become open-minded? Guess how? By getting rid of ones old idea of what is good and what is not good, and letting God Himself fill that space for Himself.
God never instructed His followers to only listen to some kinds of music, or watch some kinds of movies, or read some kinds of books, or eat only some kinds of foods. That is not what God told any of His people to do in Jesus Christ. And Jesus Christ did warn us vehemently against th doctrines and traditions that men create which are lies meant to deiceve us and rob us of what God has for us.

It is about what you watch,listen to and read because the eyes and the ears are the gateway to the mind.That's why when you watch a horror movie,you can sleep at night or when one watches pornography,the images keep playing in their mind.
When Jesus talked about people becoming like children,he was talking about the trusting and obedient nature of children(which is the kind of heart we need to have in our relationship with Jesus) not openmindedness.The Bible says that without holiness,no eye shall see the Lord.
I for one believe that we don't have to be legalistic because there are a couple of grey areas in Christianity but there are some things that are not good for you,like Paul talked about all things being lawful but not all things being beneficial.We are also encouraged to sing spiritual songs and hymns.

Have you seen the movie "Jesus Christ superstar", it was on Broadway and my first introduction to the character called Jesus Christ. To this day, that is the only Jesus movie that moves me to.want to know truth and it is a secular movie by all accounts.

What is my point? What speaks to A is not going to be what speaks to B. God created us all that way for His glory. We poo poo His work when we pretend only that which works for us should work for everyone.

Listening to secular music is not a sin but it's not the best for someone who wants to grow.You'll not understand this except you're deliberately making efforts to grow in Christ.We need to understand that everything we do in this life either strengthens the flesh or the spirit.Whatever you do that doesn't strengthen your spirit strengthens your flesh.When your flesh overpowers your spirit,you'll find it difficult to please God,even if it is your desire.Besides,many of these artistes sell their souls to the devil to become famous and there's a negative influence on those songs whether they have good wholesome lyrics or not.If you're still arguing whether secular music is wrong or not,it's most likely that you've not started to know Jesus on a one-on-one basis or even if you have,you're not willing to drop it even though you know it's impeding your spiritual progress.The mind is the battlefield.Be wise about what you fill it with.

Working on Sunday is definitely not a sin. Working on Sunday is not prohibited in the Bible. The idea that Christians should not be working on Sunday comes from a misunderstanding of Old Testament Sabbath-keeping for the Israelites and its relation to Sunday worship for Christians. According to Exodus 20:8–11, the Sabbath is the seventh day of the week on which the Israelites were to rest in remembrance that God created the universe in six days and then “rested” on the seventh day. “Keeping the Sabbath holy” was defined as not working on the Sabbath.

When God provided manna in the desert during the Exodus wanderings, He commanded that the manna was to be gathered for six days only with enough gathered on the sixth day to feed the people during the Sabbath rest. Gathering the manna was considered to be work, just as planting and harvesting was considered work. Exodus 31:14–16 and 35:2prescribed death for anyone who worked on the Sabbath. Buying and selling on the Sabbath day was also considered a desecration of the Sabbath (Nehemiah 13:15–17). I never said that the Sabbath is to be observed by Christians today.You completely misunderstood me.I totally agree with you.I was just trying to say that if you what you said above is the Sabbath to you, that's not what keeping the Sabbath entails,so it can't be referred to as the Sabbath.I don't believe Christians should observe the Sabbath.

This can't be called the Sabbath then cos observing the Sabbath involves not leaving your dwelling,not lighting a fire(hence no cooking) and not doing any form of work.It's okay to call it a holy day for yourself though.

I don't think we should call it the Sabbath then because those who observe the Sabbath are not allowed to do any kind of work,light a fire (involves cooking) and leave their dwellings for any reason.It's okay to call it a holy day though.

When God created the world, He rested on the seventh day. When God gave the ten commandments to Israel, He commanded Israel to rest on the seventh day as well. In Exodus 20:11 the reason given for that is that God rested on the seventh day from His creation work. In Deuteronomy 5, we find the second version of the ten commandments. The reason that God gives to rest on the Sabbath is to remember that the Lord delivered Israel from Egypt (Deuteronomy 5:15).

Sabbath law in the New Testament
So the Sabbath given by God in the Old Testament is the seventh day. It started with sunset on Friday and ended with sunset on Saturday. That is the Sabbath that the Jews are still celebrating.

How is the situation in the New Testament? In the New Testament we read that we are not under the law, but under grace (Romans 6:14). Christians do not have to submit to the ceremonial law anymore. The New Testament shows in several ways that the Sabbath law does not apply to Christians:

All other nine commandments are repeated in the New Testament, but the Sabbath commandment is not repeated.
Paul never wrote to the gentile churches he planted that they had to keep the Sabbath. Since the Sabbath was not part of their culture, that certainly would have been necessary if Paul had been of the opinion that they had to keep a Sabbath rest.
The churches in the New Testament met on Sundays, not on the Sabbath, like the Jewish synagogues.
Paul explicitly teaches that the Sabbath is just a shadow of things to come, but that the reality is found in Jesus. He gives us the heavenly rest. Therefore Paul forbids us to judge other people on the basis of whether or not they observe a Sabbath (Colossians 2:16-17).
The Lord’s day
The Jews met on the Sabbath. Christians started meeting on Sundays (see Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2). They did that because Jesus was risen from the dead on a Sunday. And appeared to them at least on the first and second Sunday after He was risen (John 20:19,26). Almost immediately the Sunday was called ‘the Lord’s day’ (Revelation 1:10).

So it is clear that Christians do not need to keep the Sabbath on Friday and Saturday. It is also clear that the church, following Jesus’ lead, from the beginning had its main meetings on Sunday. This does not mean that the Sabbath laws were transferred to the Sunday. We are under grace, not under the law.

That the Sabbath is fulfilled in Jesus, and that we therefore do not painstakingly have to follow the Old Testament Sabbath laws, is great news. But it would not be wise if we would use that to say we can now work each and every day. That the Lord rested on the seventh day of His creation work still is a powerful lesson for us. Rest is a blessing that we receive from the Lord. That the Sabbath law is fulfilled in Jesus probably means we should enjoy rest more, not less than in the Old Testament; that we should focus on God longer, not shorter than in the Old Testament.

Jesus’ fulfillment
While we do not need to be afraid that we are sinning if we work on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, one great way to honor Jesus’ fulfillment of the Sabbath law is to set the Sunday as much apart as possible to go to church, to meet Christian brothers and sisters, and to focus on God through prayer, Bible reading and the reading of Christian books.

When Holy Spirit is in action through His servant and you dare or speak ill of him, you might not escape His wrath.. Jesus cautioned and warned them of speaking ill against the Holy Spirit when He was in action doing the miraculous works.

-Telling someone under the leading of Holy Spirit that he's using belzebub spirit is blasphemy.

-Telling someone under the leading of Holy Spirit that he's preaching because he's poor is blasphemy.

The man in question insulted the pastor not the Spirit of God in the pastor.He didn't attribute the works of the Holy Spirit (through the pastor) to the devil.This act could be met by God's instant wrath but I insist that this is not the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost-except he blasphemed in the video(I didn't watch it).
