helinues: The issue with this EFCC boss is his gra gra. Just like Yahaya Bello, the case will die slowly.
Instead of the charade media persecution, negotiate with them to return the funds embezzled. Win win for everyone.
The EFCC prosecution have not been working for money embezzlement or money laundry as the politicians will either bribe their way at the court or use political instrument to get pardon
No! Corruption must have consequences especially where the subject is unrepentant!
DSS1335: 27 - 4 = 23 lawmakers including Amaewhule. 1 seat is vacant due to the demise of a member 3 seats suspended due to their diehard loyalty to Fubara. So, we have 23 puppets masquerading as lawmakers
Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule, led his 26 other colleagues to celebrate with the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, in his residence in Abuja.
Truth well spoken. Self evident truth!!! Where is Jake Epelle and Ankio Briggs. If they don't like Wike they should simply say so and stop calling Wike a bad name just so they can put him down!
fergie001: I do not think we understand what that section says but the aggrieved can approach the courts for more interpretation.
Like I have explained here.... Ademola Adeleke was nominated once in the Primary of Accord Party where he is the flag bearer. In the PDP, he went through the screening process and withdrew from the Primary and rightly so.
In the case between APP Vs Uche Nwosu, the Supreme Court clearly defined and described what nomination in this context entails.... The Apex Court was emphatic that nomination here means:- the emergence of that candidate in a well-conducted Primary.
Previous decisions of the Supreme Court have outlined nomination as an aspirant of any political party. In Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu Vs David Nweze Umahi and Shinkafi Vs Yari. The Court held that an aspirant who desires an intention to run for office must:- 1. Purchase the Expression of Interest & Nomination forms 2. Undergo physical screening successfully at party level. 3. Physically participate and be present on the day of the Primary.
"By the provision in Section 87(9) of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) it is an aggrieved aspirant who physically participated in a primary election conducted by the National Executive Committee of his party that is imbued with the locus standi to raise a finger of complaint... The Appellant admitted that he did not participate in the primary. He is not an aspirant in terms of Section 87(9) of the Electoral Act. He is not imbued with the locus standi to challenge the said primary." per Rhodes-Vivour JSC (Frank Okon Daniel Vs INEC & Ors 2015)
I do not think Adeleke was present on that day of the PDP Primary! Infact, he resigned on November 4.
Great one! If he was absent and did not participate in the primaries and did not receive the certificate nominating him as the PDP candidate then he is good to go. His traducers might challenge his position in court though .
S.35 ELECTORAL ACT 2022 (AS AMENDED) voids the nomination of a candidate "who knowingly allows himself to be nominated by more than one political party". Now that Adeleke has been nominated by more than one political party can Adeleke return as Osun State Governor in the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election? 🧐
AnonPoet: Maduka University Dismisses Sponsored False Claims About Fulani Bandit Settlements Near Campus, Clears the Air on death of Nursing Student
Maduka University has observed with concern the circulation of a video claiming the presence of Fulani bandit settlements allegedly located near the university. These claims are completely false and a continued attempt in the last 3 years, by detractors to spark fear among potential students, parents, and the community.
The video in question inaccurately suggests that criminal elements operate in the immediate vicinity of the university campus. We wish to categorically state that Maduka University is safe and secure. The campus remains fully protected by appropriate security measures, and there is no basis for the fear being spread.
We urge the public to disregard this false alarm in it's entirety. The university continues to operate normally, with students, staff, and visitors enjoying a secure and conducive learning environment.
Maduka University remains committed to the safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, and the surrounding community, and will continue to liaise with relevant security agencies to ensure that the campus remains secure.
We call on all members of the public to remain calm, ignore baseless rumours, and report verified information through official channels.
*The death of Our Nursing Student- Setting the record straight*
We also consider it important to address the false and damaging reports circulating online about the unfortunate death of one of our students. Much of what has been shared is completely untrue, and we owe the public an accurate account of what happened.
First, she was brought to our Medical Center already in an unhealthy condition and she arrived through our hospital ambulance, not on foot or by friends as has been speculated. At no point did we administer diclofenac injection to her. That claim is entirely false.
When she arrived at about 9:30 p.m., our Doctor on Duty immediately evaluated her. We carried out the appropriate investigations, administered the necessary medication, and made a working diagnosis in line with our emergency-care procedures. She responded well to treatment at that stage and was placed under continuous monitoring with full nursing attention throughout the night.
However, at about 4:00 a.m., her condition changed suddenly. Our nurses detected the deterioration right away and promptly alerted the doctor on call. We acted quickly: she was transferred in our 24-hour ambulance to another Hospital for expanded emergency management.
The story that the doctor acted as the ambulance driver is false. We have a dedicated ambulance service with trained personnel, and they were the ones who handled the transfer. That allegation is misleading and does not reflect what happened.
It is also important to note that she had a concealed chronic medical condition which was not disclosed prior to the emergency. This underlying condition significantly contributed to the complications that followed.
We understand the pain her family, friends are feeling, and we share in the grief of losing such a young, promising student.
However, the circulating reports suggesting negligence, wrong medication, or abandonment are false and do not represent the professional actions our medical team took.
We remain committed to providing the highest standard of care for all our students and staff, and will continue to cooperate with the family as they process this painful loss. We pray God to give the family enough strength to bear the irreparable loss. It is very unfortunate that, just to continue demarketing the school, someone would go to press with this painful story without questioning the school medical team that were involved. By His grace, we are determined, and we shall only get better in all areas.
Signed: Management.
Still did not answer directly the question whether there is a Fulani terror gang camped close by the Maduka University! Wise parents know what to do!
A family member, who spoke with SaharaReporters on Saturday, said the attackers had earlier approached Endurance’s mother while she was working on the family farm.
That is who the Fulani are. The solution to the menace is to apply the Law full force. They will turn a new leaf overtime or go back to the Sahel. Tinubu denies the reality of Endurance when he says there is no genocide against Christians in Nigeria.
naptu2: Oseloka Henry Obaze worked in Nigeria's diplomatic service and then worked for the United Nations from 1991 till 2012. In 2012 he became the secretary to the Anambra State Government in the administration of Governor Peter Obi.
He contested the 2017 Anambra State governorship election on the platform of the PDP and he was supported by Mr Peter Obi.
Oseloka Obaze was a member of Peter Obi's presidential campaign council ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
If that came from a principled person one is likely to watch with bated breath for what is to be said. Coming however, from a most unprincipled and unreliable personality of a politician like Peter Obi who out of desperation to become Nigerian President has come to lack character it is not worthwhile to consider a listen to what he has to say.
these guys at oke-ayaba don't understand federalism as a concept! go find out how many times in a year the Governor of a typical American state visits Washington DC to see the US President! In response to a question whether the Governors of a typical state in America have guest houses in Washington DC this is AI answer on Google :- "No, governors of typical U.S. states generally do not have a dedicated state-owned guest house in Washington D.C.; instead, they rely on hotels, state offices with limited lodging, or private arrangements when visiting for advocacy, while the federal government's Blair House serves as the official guesthouse for foreign leaders. While many governors have D.C. offices for lobbying, they usually find their own accommodations, often staying in the district for a few days at a time for legislative sessions, not a permanent residence." We see our problem in Nigeria are politicians who claim to be educated but are profligate in their ways. Imagine the multiplier effects that n300m could have on the Agric sector of Ekiti State or small holder businesses in the State! This is horrifying!! By the way, what has Sen. Opeyemi Bamidele (Leader of The Senate and ranking Senator who thus got more funds) done with the billions of constituency project funds in his custody. we all can see what Sen. Natasha is doing with her constituency project funds.
Af0nja2: Earlier this week, there was a report that the Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu has petitioned the Department of State Services (DSS), claiming that Primate Elijah Ayodele, Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church asked him to purchase about 1,000 trumpets valued at roughly N150 million, adding that his refusal allegedly led to a prophecy predicting he would not become governor of Oyo State.
Primate Ayodele has since dismissed the allegations.
Today, the Internet has been agog with a series of SMS allegedly shared between the minister and the Primate.
The SMS, which are screenshot into 27 places, are presented below:
It takes the spiritually blind not to know a fake prophet. The trajectory of the fake and failed prophet discloses sufficiently who he is!! He is thoroughly shameless!!!
OLAADEGBU: President Bola Tinubu again on Friday dismissed allegations of either Christian or Muslim genocide in Nigeria, insisting that the country’s security challenges are driven by criminality and extremism, not religion.
sw: Very pompous and arrogant man. His own was more than that of the governor when he was the commissioner of Finance under Oyat●|a. Other commissioners must adore him before getting funds for their ministry as commissioner for finance. Nothing good can come from him as a governor. Besides, voting for him is like bringing Oye€°la back as governor. He can not govern without approval from his godfather. It's going to be a replica of what is happening in Kogi. Adeleke saw this thats why he has refused to join APC because they will just cage him. They disqualified Omisore because they know he will be very difficult to control, thats why they want someone that will be a puppet. There can never be a meaningful development under him. Personal thought.
