politicoNG:They are now firmly where Wike wanted them to be. Wike is a very smart politician! Either way the coin faces suits his plans. The way nosy Turaki has gone will ensure that PDP cannot play in 2027. |
He fled the Deputy Governor's Office. Misguided fellow!! Sensible Deputy Governors know they hold office at the pleasure of The Governor. Mess up and you will barely have newspapers to read in your office. |
Horus:Delusion is a fatal phenomenon! |
Deollaa:Next week Wednesday I guess! Kwankwaso knows he is licked!!! Kwankwaso priced himself out of the market!!! He can't even see Tinubu again. The Party officials will engage him. |
Peter Gregory Obi Much Ado About Peter Gregory Obi by Tony Ademiluyi Some political analysts described Peter Obi as the third force in 2023 at the height of the Obidient movement. How did he take a hitherto obscure Labour party and make it into a dominant opposition party and even defeating the eventual winner, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos State? Some of his die-hard supporters alluded to his charisma; others said he had revolutionary ideas which would take Nigeria into the eldorado. However, I firmly believe that charity believes at home. He came to national prominence in 2006 as the first politician to win gubernatorial elections at the courts and there was much expectation from his supporters to optimally perform. What really did Peter Obi do as the Anambra State Governor? Despite the huge allocation and decent internally generated revenues at his disposal, he didn’t build more public schools in spite of the fact that public education was at an all time low in the state. While it is true that he embarked on road construction, the roads quickly degraded alluding to the fact that sub standard materials were used for them. Then there was a glaring conflict of interest in his use of public funds as there was a public-private partnership with SAB Miller where his family had some equity in the deal which in decent climes amounts to a criminal offence. He had an utter disregard for local government administration and only allowed elections there in January 2014 on the eve of his departure from office. Heavy taxes were imposed on small scale traders with some of his alleged anti-people policies. Civil servants and pensioners suffered as there were allegations of unpaid salaries and pensions which was said to exacerbate the hunger in the state. He single-handedly installed his puppet, Willie Obiano as his successor simply because he was an Executive Director in Fidelity Bank – a bank in which he had substantial interest in. He allegedly tried to play the role of a political godfather which led to a public falling out. In an investigative journalistic report by Premium Times, he was involved in the infamous Pandora Papers which he denied any involvement though the evidence against him was extremely damning. I question his leadership credentials as he is yet to raise worthy successors after more than two decades in politics. How many of his minions have risen to the acme in their political careers? It is still about him since 2003 – how tragic as he has no defined political structure. Is he really a man of his word? He swore to the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu that he will never leave the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He not only left APGA, but went on to move to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party, and now the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Why can’t he stay in one party and build it from scratch rather than being a political LovePeddler? The so called obidient movement that he hurriedly cobbled together has since crumbled since his cowardly defection to the ADC. He even said recently that he isn’t even sure of getting the ADC ticket. What then happens if the ticket eludes him? Will he defect again? His knowledge on national and global issues like climate change, global finance, terrorism, diplomacy is extremely shallow a pointer to his not being a team builder who could give him advice. He is nothing short of a rabble rouser who appeals to emotions rather than reason. Why couldn’t his public support for the ADC translate into electoral victory in his native Anambra State in the last elections? I hate to be the bearer of unsavoury news – Obi is nothing short of a well packaged scam who will completely expire in 2027. Over to you time! Source: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DnnsBv54z/ |
Segunbabba:Baba Uma UKPAI lived well for the Lord! Praise God for his life! ALL his life he shone brilliantly to the glory of God and the shame of the devil!! |
Tenses:Peter Obi holds no promise for good governance as Nigerian President. Check out his record of Public service and his character. They are poor. Tenses:Nigerian politicians are largely conscienceless! They very rarely do as they say or offer good governance. However, we the people have not sufficiently shown that we are tired of bad governance otherwise we would have been calling for an Osinbajo, a NOI and a Shehu Sanni for President. These are people among others that we have in Nigeria who are sure to offer good governance. |

OLAADEGBU:If trillions in reparation money is paid to Nigeria as presently constituted your guess is as good as mine how it’ll go. |
Nice! They’ll fire their weapons any how! |
dawnomike:Well done. Orders will come. |
yarimo:Turaki is a bona-fide member of the Peoples Democratic Party. |
Prof. Adetoun Ogunsheye - The First Female Nigerian Professor and the first female Dean of a Faculty in a Nigerian University is 99 years old this year. It should be a great idea for her to receive a National award in recognition of her trail blazing trajectory in life before she passes.. |
anonimi:I am not a partisan politician out to defend or pillory political parties. My focus is Nigerian politicians across political divides. For instance , I can state here for free that unless Tinubu fixes power by election time in 2027 I will not be voting for him to return as President. |
Justnation:Folks reading our exchange know who as between you and I needs to see a psychiatrist as a matter of urgency! I clearly have made a point or two in my comments. A person in a normal mental condition WILL RESPOND TO THEM. |
Shameless talk from the swollen mouth National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi who is yet to say what achievements he made when he was a Minister in Nigeria! Association of Disgruntled Characters (ADC) and Partly Damaged People (PDP) expect the Party in power to help them run and sustain the opposition! Opposition that cannot successfully manage their internal political party affairs wants to run a nation. Just how shameless can people get! |
ajalawole:Does Iran and deluded sympathizers care? Delusion is a fatal phenomenon! |
yarimo:Peter Obi does not give shishi! |
CodeTemplar:Jangabe ni! He knows his arm will be cut off! |
APC can save its face by fielding Osinbajo. He will make a successful President. If indeed our politicians in the opposition mean well for our country they will come together and put forward the candidacy of Osinbajo a proven and capable person to serve as Nigerian President. Tinubu is certain to lose. The only thing that can save him is to fulfil his election promise to provide stable electrical power in Nigeria before 2027 otherwise he will not get my vote and that of all who wish our sufferings to come to an end! |
ryloy:Dele anyday loves a good meal die there! We know you are hungry for Atiku crumbs. He'l soon send for you! |
Agugbadin:But he is yet to fix the power problems like he promised. |
insidelife22:Unless he provides the fix for our power supply problem I am not voting for him. He made a promise. Four years is more than enough time to fix it appreciably. |
HacheNoire:Sure. Both sides have suffered damage. I’m not about gloating over them. Peace is better. Iran is bound to suffer more. |
Eleph:Peace is what we should all be looking at. Truth is the U.S.A. is holding back from applying and unleashing maximum force on Iran. Diplomacy is being considered once again but this time flavoured with Psychology. Better this way. Just like it won't take Russia any time at all to wipeout Ukraine just so America can obliterate Iran in quick time but that will be an ill-wind that blows too one any good in all the present circumstances. |
HacheNoire:While it is true that Trump has his own human foibles you will not doubt what he just said if you have seen pictures of inside Iran I have seen! The suffering and destruction is bad and should end. I pray we have peace! |
Pakute:Investment in the power sector is what we want. |
press9jatv:Thank you so very much. |
