Gjrich: Timi Frank Accuses Tinubu Of Plot To Relocate Nigeria’s Capital Back To Lagos.
Comrade Timi Frank, former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has accused President Bola Tinubu of pursuing a hidden agenda to relocate Nigeria’s federal capital from Abuja to Lagos, while allegedly sidelining other regions of the country.
In a statement on Monday, Frank described what he called a pattern of “suspicious and calculated actions” by the administration, claiming that major government decisions, investments, and agreements were increasingly tilted toward Lagos.
According to him, “it is now clear” that the President’s long-term plan is to concentrate political and economic power in Lagos if given another term in office.
Frank alleged that federal appointments and development initiatives under Tinubu have been largely one-sided, warning that such a trend undermines national unity.
He insisted that Nigeria needs leadership that treats all regions fairly, stressing that “we don’t need a president who is one-sided,” but one who ensures equitable distribution of opportunities, infrastructure, and governance.
The outspoken activist went further to accuse the administration of worsening nepotism beyond previous governments, including that of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
He argued that while past administrations had been criticised for imbalance, “this is the worst,” alleging that key positions and benefits are disproportionately skewed.
“Where are Tinubu’s MoUs tied to agricultural and livestock production in the North, industrial development in the South East and oil and gas development in the South-South? None!” he said
Frank also raised concerns over a series of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and foreign loans, alleging that many of them are tied to projects in Lagos without visible nationwide impact.
He claimed that despite multiple agreements and borrowings, Nigerians are yet to see corresponding tangible developments across the country, questioning the transparency and execution of such deals.
On the recently reported £746 million port refurbishment deal involving the United Kingdom, Frank described the arrangement as economically disadvantageous to Nigeria.
He argued that the structure of the deal – requiring a significant portion of contracts and supplies to be sourced from British firms – amounts to a situation where Nigeria incurs debt while foreign companies reap substantial benefits.
He warned that such agreements could deepen Nigeria’s debt burden without delivering commensurate value, alleging that the country risks being used to boost foreign industries at its own expense.
According to him, “Nigeria must not be turned into a dumping ground for exploitative financial arrangements disguised as partnerships.”
Frank lamented about the handling of the construction of the Coastal Highway, saying, “What is happening with the coastal road raises serious concerns. If the project were genuine, it would have followed the original master plan conceived under late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, which was designed to commence from the Niger Delta, particularly from Calabar.
“However, what we’re seeing now is a deviation from that plan. The project has been kickstarted from Lagos, apparently to achieve a political objective before the end of the current administration in 2027, while the original vision has been abandoned.
“Secondly, no President in Nigeria’s history has divided the country and its people along regional and ethnic lines the way this administration has done.
“There’s a growing sense of alienation and division among Nigerians that is deeply troubling.
“It appears to be a deliberate strategy to impoverish certain regions, especially the North, South, and South-East, so that citizens are economically weakened ahead of the 2027 election cycle.
“At the same time, there are allegations of large sums of money being distributed to influence public opinion and silence dissenting voices. Nigerians must be cautious and not allow themselves to be swayed or compromised by this deliberate act that could further deepen poverty and division in the country.
“No President should pursue personal interests at the expense of national unity. What we are witnessing is an unprecedented level of division among Nigerians across regions.”
Frank called on Nigerians to critically scrutinise government policies and international agreements, urging greater transparency and accountability in governance.
He also appealed to relevant institutions and stakeholders to ensure that national interest, equity, and sovereignty are not compromised.
Don’t get personal about public matters. Only whose belly aches feels it! Get a Lawyer to file FOI and prosecute public malfeasance where you see it. Where lies your interests? We live in a capitalist environment where everyone is free to aspire to good and rejoice with the Dangotes of our nation whose entrepreneurial acumen make life better for the generality of the citizenry. If that makes anyone evil in your estimation then the envy that has you in it’s vice grip has no part two!
Some people will have belly aches over that. Needless. He is a businessman who is expected to do all within the legal to further his business interests.

davidotokiblog1: For many Nigerians, the name “Papa Ajasco” is more than just a character it’s a piece of childhood.
But now, a major shift has happened.
Veteran Nollywood actor Abiodun Ayoyinka Richard, widely known as Papa Ajasco, has reportedly rebranded to a new name “Bondu Alaska.”
The reason? The name “Papa Ajasco” is said to be officially owned by Wale Adenuga and his production company.
A Name, A Brand, A Legacy
For years, Papa Ajasco wasn’t just a name it was a brand that defined Nigerian comedy.
But this situation highlights something deeper:
The difference between owning a character and being the character
While the brand may legally belong to a company, the face, voice, and memories belong to the man who brought it to life.
Nigerians React
As expected, reactions have been pouring in — emotional, thoughtful, and even humorous.
One person wrote:
“End of an era, but the talent remains… legend status is forever.”
Another said:
“He needs more than a name rebranding… he can build his own platform.”
Some took a more emotional tone:
“He is still Papa Ajasco forever.”
While others looked at the business side:
“The name belongs to a company. The legacy belongs to the man.”
And of course, Nigerians added humor:
“Now it’s Bondu Alaska time 😂 Nigerians never see small drama.”
The Bigger Picture
This situation is not just about a name change.
It raises real questions about:
• Ownership in the entertainment industry
• The power of branding
• The long-term security of actors
Because at the end of the day:
A brand can be protected by law But a legacy lives in people’s hearts
From Papa Ajasco to Bondu Alaska
Rebranding is not easy especially when it involves letting go of a name that defined your career.
But it may also be a new beginning.
With years of experience and a loyal fan base, many believe he still has the opportunity to:
• Reinvent himself
• Build his own platform
• Tell new stories
Final Thoughts
Names may change, but impact doesn’t disappear.
To many Nigerians, he will always be Papa Ajasco regardless of what the law says.
But now, the real question is:
Can “Bondu Alaska” create a new legacy of its own?
News report by Dobblog .com
No one wants to eat frozen bread! It’s not fresh bread! “Bondu” is bread while “Alaska” is ice. Except he wants the books thrown at him the character just created “Bondu Alaska” must dress differently from “Papa Ajasco” who belongs to Wale Adenuga Productions. No “jigbijigbijigbi” accompanied by the slapping of the pate!

Sure! Dem for chop koboko at the heavy hands of Trump.
alanto: Iranian has announced that the Strait of Hormuz is open to all ships as long as proper security and safety measures are in place.
Iran’s representative to the UN’s International Maritime Organization, Ali Mousavi, stated that US-Israeli “aggression” was the “root” of the key oil passage remaining effectively closed.
He said, “Diplomacy is still Iran’s main focus, but stopping all aggressive actions and building trust and confidence between each other are even more important.”
About one in five shipments of crude oil by sea went through the strait before the US and Israel started their war against Iran on February 28.
Iranian has announced that the Strait of Hormuz is open to all ships as long as proper security and safety measures are in place.
However, vessels linked to enemy nations must not attempt to use the strait, according to Iran’s Mehr news agency.
Iran’s representative to the UN’s International Maritime Organization, Ali Mousavi, stated that US-Israeli “aggression” was the “root” of the key oil passage remaining effectively closed.
Iran has allowed some friendly nations, like China, India, and Pakistan, to safely pass their ships through the strait.
However, it has stopped other countries from using the waterway by attacking their ships and possibly placing mines in the area.
This has created a big problem in the global energy market. Iran has named the US, Israel, and their “allies” as its enemies.
The US is reportedly considering plans to occupy or blockade Iran’s strategically important Kharg Island to pressure Tehran into reopening the vital waterway, marking a significant escalation in the US-Israeli conflict with Iran.
The US president, Donald Trump, has warned that the US will “obliterate” Iranian power plants if the strait isn’t open by a 48-hour deadline.

treesun: Affected units reportedly include Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Anti-Cultism, Anti-Kidnapping, Scorpion Squad, Tactical Intelligence Response Squad (TIRS), Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Monitoring Units, Tiger Squad, Gender Units, Anti-Robbery squads, among others.
There is disquiet within the Nigeria Police Force following an order by Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tunji Disu directing the immediate dissolution of multiple tactical units operating across commands nationwide.
Affected units reportedly include Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Anti-Cultism, Anti-Kidnapping, Scorpion Squad, Tactical Intelligence Response Squad (TIRS), Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Monitoring Units, Tiger Squad, Gender Units, Anti-Robbery squads, among others.
The directive, communicated through an internal wireless message obtained by SaharaReporters, was issued after a recent virtual meeting between senior police officers and the IGP.
According to the message, all existing tactical teams at the command, area command, and divisional levels, regardless of their operational names, have been ordered dissolved with immediate effect.
“Following the IGP’s directives at the just concluded Zoom meeting with Commissioners of Police and above, all existing tactical teams at commands are being reformed into two, with operational names to be provided by the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations,” the message read in part.
The signal further specified that units such as “Lion, Tiger, Scorpion squads and others by whatever names called” are no longer to operate in their current form.
Under the new arrangement, only area commands and divisional surveillance units are permitted to function temporarily, pending further directives.
Personnel from the disbanded units are to be redeployed into conventional policing structures, including patrol and guard duties, the Divisional Crime Branch (DCB), Juvenile and Women Centre (JWC), and general beat assignments.
“The dissolved teams are to be subsumed into patrol and guard, DCB, JWC and beat with immediate effect,” the directive added.
The police hierarchy also indicated that further details regarding the restructuring would be unveiled during the end-of-month Officers’ Conference scheduled for March 26, 2026.
While the rationale behind the sweeping reform was not explicitly stated, the move comes amid longstanding public concerns over the conduct of certain tactical units, many of which have been accused of human rights abuses, extortion, and extrajudicial operations.
This is coming a few days after the IGP ordered a special resit promotion examination and interactive session for senior officers who were reportedly overlooked in previous cycles.
A confidential police wireless message obtained by SaharaReporters, dated March 16, 2026, shows that the Police Service Commission (PSC) has rescheduled the exercise for Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs), and Superintendents of Police (SPs) who were “not successful” in the December 2025 and March 2026 promotion cycles.
Insiders had told SaharaReporters on Wednesday that the affected officers were allegedly sidelined by a sophisticated bribery scheme orchestrated during the tenure of former IGP Kayode Egbetokun.
According to sources, Egbetokun’s leadership, with the alleged complicity of senior PSC officials, systematically blocked deserving officers from promotions while advancing junior officers who paid large bribes, effectively stalling the careers of senior personnel.
The current IGP is reportedly moving to "reconsider and rectify" these injustices by providing a transparent window for the sidelined officers to earn their next ranks.
The signal, issued by Nigeria Police Force Secretary, directs all commands to release the affected officers to attend the interview as scheduled. To ensure the integrity of the process, the officers are "strongly advised to refresh their memories" in core areas including professional studies, law, and local acts.
The IGP has also ordered a high-security detail for the exercise.
The AIGPOL MOPOL is required to provide "twelve (12) neatly turned-out armed men for escort duty," while the transport wing (TRANSFOR) is to provide "two (2) serviceable Hilux vans" to be placed on standby at the FHQ Parade Ground by 06:00 HRS.
Ofunaofu: To those begging me to ignore FEMI FANI-KAYODE, my apologies, I can’t. I know Femi well. He is a bully. But I have plenty time for him. He calls a global brand, Ovation Media Group, defunct. Yet, as recently as February 11, 2026, he still begged me to help him publish on one of our platforms, The Boss newspapers, about the Educational achievements of his family. And I gladly obliged him, after which he sent “Thanks brother.
Very kind of you.” Is he already suffering from dementia?
As for Ovation International, he used our platform to celebrate the birthday of his son, for which we did not charge a kobo. This was what he wrote and sent to me: “Good morning my brother. May I send you videos and pictures of my sons birthday party which took place on 25th.
They are great shots and I would appreciate it if you could select a few for your usage… Always and forever my brother. I am proud of you and I wish you well. Keep up the great work.”
What work or business does Femi do except scavenging for political appointments? With all his boastfulness about his silverspoon status, he has not attained a global brand except for the wrong reasons. His estranged wife, Precious, reached out to me, to speak to Femi to grant her access to their children.
She regaled me with unprintable and horrendous tales of Femi’s inhumanity to her. I obliged and got Femi and her to reconcile, technically. Femi was so excited that he pestered me for progress on the matter, regularly, including asking me to speak to a female Senator: “I hope you managed to reach her my brother.” What more can I do to make Femi happy?..
I understand Femi’s strategy. He needs to remain in Tinubu’s good books just in case GERMANY falls through and he needs another appointment…
He is not much of a different character than you are! You collected money lifeline from Tinubu and you turned around to disparage his person! By the way, your private business deal with Femi Fani-Kayode is not our business! You both are two of a terrible kind!
When folks like Bolaji Abdullahi, Bwala, Reno Omokri, Dele Momodu and Femi Fani-Kayode and the likes grant Press interviews they are not mindful of their messed up characters that speak volumes once their names get mentioned! The swollen-mouth Bolaji Abdullahi from Kwara lacks shame!

Princedapace: That is exactly the major issue.. and it is due to what I stated above. It is human weakness. Humans are naturally selfish by default, so a Yoruba man will love yoruba person more before loving someone from another tribe. The leaders were supposed to structure the country in a way that this human limitation wont affect quality governance. The leaders rather took advantage of the limitation to wreck harvoc. They are exremely wicked. How do u want a country to prosper in such setting?
But the U.K. is a diverse entity. They have prospered. I agree the political class are largely wicked.
Princedapace: The problem is this... like I said, tribalism is a major issue here, the politicians are supposed to fix that but they are taking advantage of it. Look at Europeans, they established their countries along national lines. Meaning, more of same people with same historical background, culture, etc, form countries. Even the UK, the nations that make up the UK had to enter into agreement but even at that, the nations are extensively independent. Nigeria's problem since the days of the colonia master has been why merge people with varying national interests, culture, background, together? This has been the problem. Even the white men who did it knew it was a disaster but went ahead to do it before it saved them cost. The british created our problems. The problem I have with the leaders is that they know this ugly truth but fail to tackle it. If u sit with any of them at a bar, or at a closed environment, they will tell u this truth. Let me break it down for u... no country has ever grown without pressure from the masses. Study Euorpeans: look at the French, the English, AMericans, etc. The people fought the ruling class hands down and forced them to make policies, change policies that shaped their countries. But since we have clashing national interests inspired by ugly tribalism which nothing anyone can do except we restructure our political system, the people cant revolt. For instance, let say I am based outside my region, where I live, the govt make money off my VAT, and other taxes, right, the govt makes money from resources scattered around the country, but let say the local govt chairman there is not fixing roads, and it is affecting my car, I cant protest becus i am not from that region. Immediately I start to protest, the people of that region will tag me enemy and even plot to kill me. Lagos is the center of attention in Nigeria, every country has one core city for commerce and center of attention; Egypt, it is Cairo, I can mention a lot of countries like this. So, whenever there is protest, it happens in those major cities and draw massive attention. But becus Nigeria is highly divided via tribal line, u cant stage protest in Lagos easily. Every tribe suspect the other in Nigeria. This has given the politicians free will to perform badly and nothing will happen.
As good leaders, they are supposed to fix this issue by changing our political system. But they cant because it will backfire at them. Nigeria has been proposed to run confederal system, true federalism, etc. Or run UK model with extensive independence for the regions. Allow communities decide where they want to be located at, etc. This will create sense of national interest and help these regions develop. This forced unity is only benefiting the ruling class. Here the truth, Nigerians can never ever be united. This is natural factor in humans. As developed as Whites are, till date, they are still many racists in there. So, humans cant stop being humans. It is the duty of the elected rulers to take deliberate actions to limit the weakness of humans such as tribalism. It is their duty to fix electoral system. Take for example, state police is so needed today in Nigeria, if we restructure our country, we can have such. We need this badly. But these leaders dont care because those getting kidnapped arent their family members. If an Hausa man protest today, Yoruba man will say he wants to remove their son from office. Dont forget Buhari was in power and his people went mute. This gave those appointed by Buhari to behave as acted as they wish with no consequencies.
No pressure from the masses in Nigeria against bad governance. Instead the masses in Nigeria fight themselves.
naptu2: I am quite familiar with the Nairaland trick in which posters keep shifting the goalpost. They'll keep changing topics and you'll have to chase them. I am too old and I do not have time for that, so I shouldn't have responded to these posts, but I need to make an important point.
It doesn't matter who is president or minister of power, we will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER, NEVER EVER HAVE 24 HOURS POWER AS LONG AS THAT SUBSIDY IS STILL THERE.
I have been saying this for decades and I will say it till tomorrow, we will never have 24 hours power while there is subsidy. It doesn't matter who is minister, afterall Obasanjo made Bola Ige minister and Buhari made Fashola minister.
Nigerians are always obsessed with cheap things and it never works.
I witnessed with my own eyes (I wasn't told) when Shagari wanted to make food cheap and he subsidised rice, milk, sugar, etc (Esential Commodities, aka esenco). There was no food! Even if you had money, there was no food to buy! The food magically appeared when the subsidy was removed.
We have seen what happened to every president from Shagari to Tinubu with respect to petrol. We should have had petrol scarcity right now, because of the war in Iran, but there's no scarcity because subsidy has been removed. . You cannot run a business with prices that are below cost price.
Electricity generators must buy gas, pay workers, buy equipment, maintain equipment and you want to force them to charge below the cost of these things? No matter what you do it will never work. It is not a curse, it is a statement of fact.
I often hear people say all kinds of things, I assure you, all those things will never work as long as Nigerians pay below the cost of generating, transmitting and distributing electricity.
In fact, I don't want to write about this subject again because it annoys me. I have written a lot about it on my diary in the past 4 years, just search for subsidy in the diary section.
Bluntemperor: True talk, bro 👍. I absolutely agree with you on the above mentioned issues. I'm an advocate of NO LIGHT 🕯️🚨, NO INDUSTRIALIZATION-For Every Sector of the Economy Depends On Light. WE CAN NOT RUN Industrialization ON Buying A Generator! Tinubu Should have Sacked the Power Minister - for adding nothing to the Power Sector during his term. Just FACTS AND TRUTH!
