lolz, I just made an observation. I have personal experience of family members not maintaining family properties and selling them as soon as they got a chance just to gamble away the money and frolic in materialism.
In this case the local police knew the mother was the manager and caretaker of the building and quickly acted accordingly. The son was catching cruise with those fine, flat stomach, big yanish S. African babes and doubt he has lawyer's fees to pay. The other relatives forming mouth should go rest.

Seems like the mother was the one collecting the rents and managing the property while the son was struggling in South Africa and not sending any money home to help out to maintain his mother and the building. Plus the mother had the resources to mobilize the police to cool his heels in jail for 13 hours. You already know money talks with our police. In a deep dive into how things are going for Donald Trump's 2024 presidential run as he skips holding his rallies and holes up at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Olivia Nuzzi notes that things are not well at all and his advisers are admitting they are witnessing a downward spiral.

In the Intellinger report, under the telling headline "The Final Campaign: Inside Donald Trump’s sad, lonely, thirsty, broken, basically pretend run for reelection. (Which isn’t to say he can’t win)," Nuzzi spoke with multiple Trump insiders and one lamented "The magic is gone."

According to her report, Nuzzi claims she interviewed the former president 28 days ago and in the intervening time, he has rarely left the compound, saying defensively weeks ago, "I stay here “but I am outside of Mar-a-Lago quite a bit. I’m always largely outside of Mar-a-Lago at meetings and various other things and events. I’m down in Miami. I go to Miami, I go to different places in Florida.”

Writing, "He is sensitive about smallness. His entire life, he has rejected smallness," Nuzzi spoke with some close associates who claimed that is what his life has come to after his announcement that he will run again in 2024 landed with a thud.

According to a former White House official. “It feels like he’s going through the motions because he said he would.”

Another questioned his actions while ensconced at his Florida resort, singling out his highly publicized dinner with controversial Kanye West, "He doesn’t have anything else to do. What else can he do? Why did he see Kanye? He wants to be relevant and wants the limelight. He’s thirsty.”
One Trump adviser painted a sad portrait of the former president as his legal problems pile up and his approval ratings plummet.

“He just goes, plays golf, comes back, and f*cks off. He has retreated to the golf course and to Mar-a-Lago," they reported before commenting, "His world has gotten much smaller. His world is so, so small.”

Another complained about the quality of people who are still hanging on to Trump hoping for a comeback.

"It’s not there. In this business, you can have it and have it so hot and it can go overnight and it’s gone and you can’t get it back. I think we’re just seeing it’s gone. According to the report, released Thursday, Ivanka Trump, who served as a White House advisor during her father's presidency, told the committee that she had unsuccessfully tried to reason with her father as his supporters ransacked the Capitol, and at one point retreated to the office of her husband, Jared Kushner, "because she needed to 'regroup' and collect herself."

Multiple witnesses told the committee of attempts to persuade Trump to intervene and try to stop the violence, which he refused to do, instead watching the attack as it unfolded on television.

Ivanka Trump was enlisted by aides to try to reason with her father, and persuaded him to issue a message urging protesters to "stay peaceful" as the violence escalated. According to the report, she made several attempts throughout the day to get her father to more forcefully condemn the riot.

"I remember her saying at various point," witness Cassidy Hutchinson told the committee, that "she wanted her dad to send them home. She wanted her dad to tell them to go home peacefully, and she wanted to include language he wasn't necessarily on board with at the time."

It was 3 hours after the attack on the Capitol began that Trump finally issued a message telling his supporters to go home.

Ahead of the riot, Trump had delivered an incendiary speech to supporters, who subsequently marched on the Capitol and attacked it in a bid to halt Joe Biden's certification as president.

The report argued that Trump was responsible for the attack, recommending that he be barred from office. The January 6 committee has referred Trump to the Justice Department on charges including insurrection.

Trump has denied responsibility, and claims the committee is politically motivated.

A former U.S. Court of Appeals judge who played a critical role in the Jan. 6 committee hearings said he is confident that a potential criminal conviction of former President Donald Trump would be upheld by the Supreme Court and any judge would have no choice but to sentence Trump to federal prison.

“I don’t know that a district judge would have any choice but to sentence the former president to imprisonment under the terms and provisions of these various offenses,” retired U.S. Court of Appeals Judge J. Michael Luttig said in a wide-ranging interview on the Yahoo News “Skullduggery” podcast.

Luttig, who for years was considered one of the leading conservative jurists in the country and who testified last summer as a star witness in the committee’s hearings, also said that he sees “poetic justice” in the panel’s investigation. In particular, he singled out the work of Vice Chair Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., who, despite losing a primary to a Trump-backed opponent, pressed the panel to make its criminal referral to the Justice Department, which recommended that the former president and others be investigated for violating four federal statutes in their efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

“The poetic justice of these historic hearings is that the president set out to destroy the January 6th committee and the political careers of its members,” said Luttig. “And it is the committee that will end the political career of the former president. It will have been Liz Cheney who ended Donald Trump's political career— his, not hers.”

Mr. Musk is the owner/CEO of both companies and has been selling billions of Tesla stock to keep Twitter afloat and perhaps stash some money away. Tesla shareholders and fund managers are up in arms with him.
Did you know that he recently stopped paying the rent at the Twitter HQ building in San Francisco? The Financial Times is already speculating about him having to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy of his newly purchased company, plus there are reports of him being miserable and depressed with the situation he finds himself in.

When the economy is bad, people hold tight to their cash. When they don't spend these companies miss their targets. The higher people base on how much they rake in. What they rake in sustain their workforce. Balance the inflow and outflow of cash, they let go some of their workforce that are just extras. I mean people who are not vital employees.

If Elon Musk’s off-the-cuff financial statements are accurate, Twitter’s creditors should brace themselves for a potential default. On Tuesday, the billionaire entrepreneur made an impromptu appearance on the platform’s live audio service and told listeners the situation was “not good”. 

Musk cast himself in the role of austerity saviour, saying that before his cost cuts Twitter’s outflows were set to reach $6.5bn next year, including interest payments. His forecast of $3bn in revenue and $1bn in cash gave Twitter less than a year before it needed to raise more funds or risk missing payments.

Job cuts lower outflows, albeit that redundancy payments will eat into savings. Musk has removed half the workforce. Others have left voluntarily and workers are under order to find $1bn in infrastructure savings. If he can halve costs, Musk can push the crunch point forward to early 2024.

Of course, costs may rise, eroding that advantage. Twitter has $12.5bn of debt as the result of Musk’s leveraged buyout, creating $1.5bn of annual debt servicing costs. Twitter is, by extrapolation, paying an eye-watering interest rate of around 12 per cent. This is partly because of rising rates but it is also a marker of the high risks perceived by lenders. Intangibles and short-term investments make up a large proportion of Twitter’s assets. Most of the debt is unsecured.

Banks still appear to have underestimated the problems ahead. The company has not reported an annual profit since 2019. But at least revenue was growing before Musk arrived. Now it is forecast to drop 40 per cent from 2021, the last full year of results prior to the takeover. The fall reflects a worse exodus of advertisers than rivals have experienced. S&P Global expects social media peer Snap to report 23 per cent revenue growth over the same time period.

This is Musk’s fault. Advertisers are unhappy that his relaxation of moderation has increased the risk of adverts appearing alongside abhorrent content.

Investors, including Musk, could lose their equity. Filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy would allow the company to reorganise and even raise new funds to support ambitious Super App plans. But creditors would have to agree. They could also take control of the company.

Musk may opt to buy the debt himself. But if banks offload it elsewhere, Twitter may end up in the hands of distressed debt funds. From frying pan to fire in one easy flip.
