Presidential aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Stanley Osifo, on Tuesday described the emergence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the party’s standard bearer for next year election as an imposition, threatening a court action if in the next 48 hours the PDP did not address the issue on ground.

Osifo gave this threat at a press conference in Lagos, declaring the national convention of PDP held sometime ago in Port- Harcourt, the River State capital as null and void as, according to him, it did not follow laid down rules and regulations.

The aggrieved PDP presidential aspirant said that he was denied participation in the exercise despite having obtained the necessary documents and fulfilled the requirement to enable him to take part in the said convention.

“I, therefore, call on the party to address this germane issue in the next 48 hours, a failure which, we will proceed to court to seek redress. Therefore, the primary that produced the party’s presidential candidate is null and void.

“I have written two letters to the party and the chairman on the matter. But my complaint was not taken seriously and we would not relent until we get justice because we will continue to pursue the matter,” he said.

Osifo described his sidelining as “the height of impunity in the party,” saying the party should not have deemed it fit to collect from his money for expression of interest form, among others if it did not want him to participate in the exercise.

“There is no doubt; this is the height of impunity in the party. Before I decided to participate in the election, I met and discussed with the party leadership. As such, I obtained the form to enable me to participate.



“Incidentally, when the party was meeting the aspirants to have a discussion on primaries, I was never invited and only got to know about the development in the media. It is instructive to note that if the party did not want me to participate, why should it collect the money I paid for expression of interest to contest forms?” he queried.

The PDP stalwart, however, said the complaints he made that the impunity and injustice done to him be addressed by the party were yet to be responded to adequately.

Stressing that nobody was using him to scuttle the efforts of the party, the aggrieved PDP presidential aspirant
maintained that he was protesting on the ground that he equally had the same rights to contest for the exalted post as a party member.

“I have addressed the same allegation in the past alleging that I am a mole in the party. I must make it clear again that nobody can use me to derail the PDP. I believe in the cohesiveness of the party, but it is not laying a good example,” he said.

EFCC chairman confirmation. The Presidency can not send a nominee and an agency of Executive branch the DSS writes a damaging security report and you expect the Senate to still confirm him. The Presidency to this date has not sacked the head of DSS for unjustly undermining a FG appointee. Really not sure what the Presidency expects of the Senate on this one. The DSS to this day is upholding their damaging security report on Magu. A clean security report is a prerequisite to get Senate confirmation. The Presidency refused to discipline the DSS and obtain a good report on Magu and yet the same Presidency refused to replace Magu but somehow wants to bully the senate to engage in impunity by overlooking the DSS report? It’s ridiculous!

The issue of virement is poor planning and management on the part of the executive. We did not realise suddenly that we will have election in 2019. We knew in 2015 that Nigeria will have another election in 2019. Why did the executive not plan for the funds required to sponsor the election. Why this adhoc arrangement called virement. It smacks of an administration that just can not plan for the future. Also 242 billion is too much for the election. The money should be reduce to 120 billion! The last election cost 90 billion!

My dear, do you know how complicated mobile app development has become? Everyone here is giving the different languages that can be used to build web apps as if different languages cannot be used to build mobile apps.

Dear OP, even in the mobile programming world, different languages are used. If you want to develop cross-platform mobile apps, Ionic, React Native and Native Script are at your fingertips. React Native and Native Script are both JavaScript based. Even Vue.js now can now be used to develop native mobile applications.

There's also Dart and Flutter. Both languages are being pushed by Google as alternatives to React Native, Native Script and other languages that allow you to develop cross platform mobile applications.

If you want to do traditional native android development, I would advise you to go learn Kotlin. Developed by IntelliJ and adopted by Google, Kotlin is now the official android native programming language going forward due to the patent suit that Oracle filed against them sometime ago. So going forward, Kotlin is going to be the big man. Those telling you about Java still like in 2016.

So don't be deceived that mobile programming s just about learning Java and XML. These guys did not even mention XML as if it is not a language in itself.

Dear OP, do your research and make your decision; but let me warn you. If your only motivation to learn software development is money, you'll tap out of the race because you're going to be easily frustrated.
