No doubt that modern technology and gadgets are a good especially when the inventors conceived them, but more often the end users tend to abuse and misuse these things that is supposed to better our lives and make living easier.

Internet and SOCIAL MEDIA websites: In europe and america, young girls have been lured to sexual abuse, rape and murder through popular social media websites like facebook, twitter, myspace etc.Such acts of violence has suddenly reared up in Nigeria with the murder of cynthia.I am very sure Cynthia is not the first person to be lured and murdered in Nigeria via friends in facebook, it is just that her father is a retired general who has connections to security chieftains in Nigeria.

The social media websites has been grossly abused by Nigeria youths who dwell permanently on facebook to view pictures and of course our young girls pose their nude or semi nude pictures on these websites for men that are rich or pretend to be rich to see them and contact them for friendships, watching pornography and checking football matches scores to the detriment of their studies and education.

The advent of the social media partly accounts for the poor performance of our youths in public exams these days, but Govt and parents are not seein it that way.

PHONES,BBerry and PINGING: these modern gadgets were designed for ease of communication but the Nigeria youths being who they are have abused the usage of PHONES,BBerry and Pinging. Check the BB or Phone of any Nigerian girl and you will see her semi nude or nude pictures and videos of her having sex with her bf, check also the BB or Phone of any Nigeria young male you will see the same thing.
The GSM text messaging has even worsen their knowledge of correct english spellings as they are now used to writing corrupted short word when sending text messages and would eventually used these terms during public exams.

None of you graduates is ever thinking of starting a business with at least N30K that you have used to buy yourself a blackberry that does not put money in your pocket.

I finished my NYSC three years ago and i had an expensive Nokia N90 Phone that was not putting money in my pocket,my old secondary school mate who had two shops in computer village and has only OND offered to employ me and pay me N20K every month. When he paid the first month he laughed at me and said my friend you are showing off with an expensive phone made for rich guys and you are a job seeker..He went ahead to tell me that he started with a show glass and N10K worth of goods and four years after he had his first shop.he strongly advised me to sell the nokia N90 add the N20K and start up with a show glass in his front immediately which i did and today by the Grace of God i have my own shop where i sell cell phones, laptops, networking materials,i go to china to buy my goods, i have built my own boys qtrs and i am married.
No boss is asking me to resume by 7am,get targets and close by 8pm like you job seekers want to do..
The list of richest men in LAGOS,BENIN,KANO,PHC,GHANA,UK,USA,AUSTRIA and the whole world has no salary earner or job worker on it.

Be wise sell that expensive BB and convert the money to capital before you become too old to be employed now that private universities are flooding graduates of 20yrs-24yrs of age

Still on the subject. . . what goes around, comes around.
R.I.P Cynthia.
May your offenders' daughters and grand-daughters face worse fates!
Unless it is an act of 'vengeance' of course. . . .from the GODS!
When you get 'there', please ask 'God' why. . .then come back and tell us. kiss
