LIVE UPDATE: Jonathan Presents 2013 Budget by DExplorer1: 11:58am On Oct 10, 2012
This budget is a budget that hopes to secure food security as well as the effective livelihood of all Nigerians. It is a budget that seeks to address series of innovative issues. This budget is borne out of our well-thought out plans and articulated development. This is a budget for all Nigerians; it belongs to the farmer, the men and women of Nigeria. It belongs to the investors, entrepreneur, the youths and the elderly. Yes, we have challenges, but also incredible opportunities. Our task is turning these opportunities into real tangible outcome which all our people can experience and call their own. We need the cooperation of everyone to make it work, to grow the economy and create jobs for our people. I continue to call on all Nigerians to act. Making Nigeria work begins with you and me, says President Jonathan, while ending his speech.

You're welcome my brother. I only hope the senate work on, and approve the budget before the end of this year, while the FEC commence procurement between January and March and implementation begins by April so that Nigerians don't have the same experience as this year. God Bless Nigeria!

Mr Resident liar. In line with the transformation agenda of GEJ and NOI's prudent fiscal measures, it may interest you to know that the recurrent expenditure plan was cut down again by 10% from the 2012 budget. There was also a huge cut in borrowing from 850 to 700 B.

Fool, thats impressive u know (if true) because we should be looking at the range of 60% or thereabout but how i wish it goes down the more, its still high. Kudos to the Retardeen.

Ok got the facts now:

He proposed cutting recurrent expenditure to 68.7 percent of the total budget, from its current 71.47 percent.

You see, the problem has always been the senate. I also hope Christmas/New year recess won't be an excuse. That budget is early enough to be worked on and approved.
