Well to you, it's lame. Like I said, do they have to share their intelligence with the public? YES or NO?

YES

It's a murder investigation. The JTF has a long and storied history of extra-judicial execution of often innocent people.

Hiding behind 'intelligence' is a license to kill everyone and anyone. Would you accept this excuse if they kill someone you care about?

We should appreciate the type of hostile condition in which the JTF operates in those parts of Northern Nigeria..people generally are more sympathetic to BH.

Let exercise restrain in how we join the likes of El Rufai and co to bad mouth the JTF.

We have no shred of evidence to link the JTF to Gen. Shuwa's murder.

Dealing with public in Nigeria by any organisations they need to be extra careful I mean JTF, the major fact that behind the hatred for Nigeria Police is based on familiarity and mingle with general public. Before this era some Nigerian prefer to associate themselves with soldier, I have said it earlier that if you have ever beaten by police you will surely concur that police is your friend. JTF have been provoked by so called BOKO HARAM. And again I salute the courage of Nigeria Police for the replied to the amnesty international report regarding fundamental human right thus :A recent Amnesty International
Report dated November, 2012 has just
been received by relevant authority of
the Nigeria Police. As a responsible law
enforcement agency, the Nigeria Police
Force takes all criticisms against its
organization seriously. Consequently, the Police Authority has begun a
comprehensive and critical study of the
report with a view to establishing its
veracity and relevance vis-à-vis our
contemporary security challenges and
needs. Bearing in mind that the Force has no monopoly of knowledge, the Police High Command (on the strength of the Report) will not hesitate to accept honest and factual recommendations (if any) contained therein and initiate appropriate reforms where necessary. However, the Force is deeply concerned over a key research methodology adopted by Amnesty International in compiling its report. The fact that most of the sources of the content of the report are “not named”, (and thus not open to confirmation or reconciliation) puts the authenticity, credibility and Legitimacy of the report in question. Nevertheless, the Nigeria Police will continue to do everything humanly possible to improve the capacity and efficiency of its service delivery especially as it relates to its core responsibility of protecting lives and property. The Force will also continue to initiate and improve on policies designed to strengthen the essential values of democratic policing which includes: transparency, accountability, respect for
the fundamental human rights of all
citizens and the promotion of a strong
professional ethics within the Force.
In this regard, the Force will at all times,
reward excellent deeds by its men, while at the same time, holding accountable those found wanting in the discharge of their statutory duties, bearing in mind that no organization – including Amnesty International- is perfect.

And when did the JTF become a court of law and order summary execution of a suspect?

INNO18: i'm beginning to believe EL rufai's 'conspiracy' that the JTF were responsible for general shuwa's death. If the JTF wanted to exonerate themselves of El rufai's theory, they should have produced the assassin alive and not dead. I smell a rat.
u 've never been to a war front before. Don't jus speak of things u don't understand. No criminal wants to be arrested, more so a hardened one wit sophisticated weapon.... Ur only chance to live is to put him down and hope He doesn't die.... Arresting him can only be a 2nd option. Ur Life first.....
