It was the day my stupid boyfriend (now my ex) came to visit and he saw my room mate and liked her dat day, kissed her dat day, squeezed her boobs dat day,(infr ont of me oh) dumped me dat day and then took her home to his house in d nite to sleep with her . Took me 3years to get over not bcoming a serial killer.
Another one was one day. I came to class and looking so beauriful and d lecturer (a woman) kept looking at my direction , I kept wondering wat I did cos I ve been sitting quietly paying attention. Next thin she asked one stupid question and asked me to stand, I stood and attempting to answer d question but she cut me off, to rain all manner of insults on me which left d whole class laughing out so loud at me. Still she ordered me out of d room. I kept wondering wat I did wrong.

usermane: Mine is breaking my foot. It was a real sad day for me. This was in campus hostel. One night i was awaken from a dream by students screaming 'fire!,fire!! everybody run!!!' and unconsciously i,jumped out of bed, unlocked the door, dashed out of the room. My room was on the first floor and not minding the staircase farther away, i like other students due to adrenaline rush jumped directly to the ground from the first floor.
But unfortunately, i didn't land well, i landed poorly on my right foot and having just woken up from such a deep sleep, an energy depraved body couldn't withstand having its whole weight thrown on a single foot.
My right foot gave up immediately, slipped and i came crashing down, slamming my back onto the ground with a thud.
For a moment, perhaps for the first time ever i felt paralysed, engulfed in an intense extruciating pain all over my body. My waist twisted, nearly snapped and my foot was broken. I was motionless and dumb for a few minutes, lying still on the ground as guys rush forward to inspect me.
I managed to sit up after a while and was later helped to the sick bay cos i couldn't walk.
I admit i commited a huge blunder of not looking b4 i lept that night and beside enduring pain for a whole week with only one useful foot and lying in bed filled with grief and regret for my carelessness i had to go through the whole misery all alone as i could tell no one my terrible predicament.

Eyaa.. Pele.

moonbaby: I have three if I'm permitted cheesy

The first one, when I was about 10yrs of age, my mom was tidying up the house so she had loads of papers to burn. She was already burning some garbage at our backyard so I thought. I should help my mom out o, I carried the bin full of papers and headed towards our backyard. My two little sisters decided to follow me. On getting to where the fire was burning, I poured all the papers on the fire, instead of us to go back upstairs jejenly grin one of my little sister saw a can of raid and we thought it would be nice to burn it.

Oh boy, as my sister threw the raid can in the fire, we didn't know what to expect so I and my immediate sister stood right beside the fire, the little one that threw the can bent near the fire watching excitedly. The next minute we heard a very loud b.ang, the fire went all over the place and all I saw was my little sister rubbing her belly. My mom quickly rushed downstairs and grabbed her, put her inside cold water. There were already loads of people from houses away in our house as they didn't know what caused the loud b.ang.

I and my immediate sister were very lucky but my little sister suffered the most as after 30minutes of getting over the shock I saw my little sister's belly all roasted. My mom quickly rushed her to the hospital after treating her at home. Till date she still has that skin discolouration sad

It's not obvious to see but if you really stare at her belly people can see her skin colour is not even.

The second event, I was 15yrs of age, my mom came from abroad to take I and my siblings with her to the UK. My uncle had already finished our passport application so all the embassy wanted was for my mom to appear in person to be interviewed before releasing the passports.

So my mom, my big huge uncle, his wife and myself all went to the embassy. We decided not to take our car that day. After getting all the passports and the necessary documents, we were all excited. We took a bus, on the way the bus developed fault and everybody had to get off and find other means of transportation. This area was very quiet with bushes on both right and left side of the road.

We started walking quickly in order to get to the next available bus stop. My uncle's wife then sad she wants to pee, my uncle said not in this area that it's very dangerous. But she insisted, she was carrying ghana must go bag in her arm with some of our documents. As she was peeing, I saw a guy jumping in the bush so I alerted my mom and uncle. By the time we were ready to start going, 1 guy came out from the bush with knife in his hand, the guy attacked my uncle's wife coz of the big bag she was carrying, he used the knife to tear apart the ghana must go bag and all our passports and documents went flying on the road, my uncle went after this guy took him up and slammed him on the floor. The guy ran into the bush.

As my uncle's wife was still shouting, my mom quickly ran after all the documents, gathered them together and this second guy came to my mom after realising there isn't any money in the bag my uncle's wife was carrying. As this guy attacked my mom's handbag, my mom sat on our documents while trying to fight this guy off her hang bag. The main passports were in my mom's hand bag. The guy knew my mom wasn't letting go of her bag so he started using knife to cut the handbag handle not knowing he was cutting my mom's finger at the same time but oh no my mom refused to let go o..that's when my uncle came on to the back of this guy, slammed him on the floor also and he ran into the bush.

We helped my mom up with her clothes in blood and we decided to start running. Fortunately a car came along and gave us lift to the nearest bus stop. On getting home, everybody at home were shocked. I remembered one of my uncles saying mummy, dont ever do that again o attacking thieves like that, then my mom replied him saying, you want me to let go of my children's documents no way....awwww I love her... kiss she was then taken to the hospital that night to stitch her finger cry.....

Final one was when I lost my dad, it was a painful experience as our mom was abroad then and we were small then cry..we all had to move in with our uncle then before our mom came to take everyone one of us to UK....I still wish he is here with us today now that my wedding is near cry cry cry

Omo butter, ur mum was bold though, I know u'd be proud of her.

Mine was last session this year during our 1st semester 300level exams. After finishing my 2nd to the last paper by 10.30am on that fateful thursday morning,i returned to my hostel and decide to relax my brain little by sleeping b4 i start to prepare for my last paper which will take place the following mornin 8am.... I woke up later in d evening and was in a relaxed state and hoping to read overnight for the last paper once my room mates sleep off. Then around 7.30pm we heard gun shot sound which were very close by and evrybody began panicking b4 some ran into the house and informed everyone that someone has given up the ghost in front of the house! And that was it! We all locked our various rooms switched off all light source and all candles were blown off. Even one of my room mates who went out earlier was called not to return to the hostel that day. My other room mates forbade any source of light being turned on since nobody was sure whether the perpetrators were still lurking behind or not. Due the nap i observed in the afternoon, when the rest of my room mate slept,i was unable to sleep. Then around 12:30am in the midnight, the family of the deceased came around and the wailings started.. The wailings continued for like eternity and the silence of the night gave much echo to their cry... I was in a very traumatised state by then in the quiteness of my room. Then dawn came we discovered the body has been taken away by the deceased family and we all took our bath and immediately left our home to prepare for our various exams and also to avoid being around since the police may come arresting the occupants of the house all in the name of investigation. On getting to the school,i went straight to the library to try and read something for the day's exam. Immediately i got settled in,someone came around and break the news to the library staff that one of the staff was shot dead yesternight including 2 other people in 3 different spots and it occurred to me that the said library staff was the one who died in front of our residence. The wailing in the library then began and i couldn't even read a thing. I had to leave the library in a even more traumatised state than i was. I then proceeded to the the exam hall to write a law exam which i didn't even read page for save for my presence in class. Though it was an exam i ought to come out with an A if i was fully prepared, but God helped me and at the end of the day i came out with a C.

4 months ago during the last week of my Industrial Attachment programme, I was a victim of one chance while going to work very early that morning(all because I wanted to beat 3rd mainland bridge's traffic. Watching one of them tear off another passenger's/victim's skin at the top right corner of his eye, robbing us all of our valuables . . . And then pushing us out of the very-high-speed moving bus while we glided at the direction of the vehicle, condemning my cloth for eternity(one of us(victim) was a heavily pregnant woman.

There was this woman who happened to be one of our biggest customers then(Industrial Attachment period) who, while coming to lay her complain(s), had to act in real or pretending annoyance. How thunder brought down one of our BTS was beyond me(though her cpe was connecting via that bts) as I was deployed to the database team then. This woman just breezed in, started raking and in the heat of her raking, I, by chance, passed through the doorway where she was standing and she transferred her madness to me. All I could hear myself screaming was "yeeehhh". This woman just landed me one malaria destroying slap on my left chin. Omo, the rest of my colleagues(from the front desk and reception) grabbed me immediately to the canteen and began with their 'words of wisdom' on how to endure, tolerate, keep my temper . . . Later(people don hear wetin happen), people started trooping into my unit with their sorry/e kpele/eyah . . . comments which even caused the already dead tears flowing.

mine was the time i had surgeries on both eyes within eight days.its a traumatic experience(s),i almost call for death to snatch me away.
Second was not being at my mother's burial when she died some years back just because i was unable to be reached.
Third was my father died on my laps while rushing him to the hospital.
Fourth was when i had 15 units carryover out of 21 unit courses due to eyes surgeries i had earlier.

So far no one have mentioned heartbreak or rejection,i thought every day on this forum people complain of getting their heart ripped out and smashed into their face by their lover or ex.
A friend of mine was in that situation. His girlfriend travelled and returned back with a new boyfriend, dropping the bombshell for him that it was over. My friend couldn't get over the fact that he 'd bn dumped and before i knew it the heartbreak had begun to take it toll on him.
He started acting wierd; speaking to himself, wearing one shirt for almost a fortnight, fixing things that aren't broken and ignoring everyone.
When i looked at my friend, i couldn't help but feel so sorry for him. He was a very friendly, outgoing lad,fun to be with but see what a common heart break have turned him into.
No matter how stable u think of yourself, every person is only one traumatic event away from demoralisation... quite sad

faced some difficult family troubles that I believe caused me to graduate with a cgpa 4.42 when most of most of my peers assumed I would graduate with a first class. Had to avoid lots of people on my graduation day cos people kept asking 'what happen?'

another one is loosing my grandfather. He was my childhood mentor and the great rift that ensued in my family after that as he seem to be the glue that held us together. Left a big vacuum in my life. Don't know is worse, dey both cause me great pain each time I'm reminded of them.

Two of such, first was when my elder brother suffered something like a convulsive fit - he was in SS 1 and I was in pry school, tried to shake him up in the morn and he had this cold blank stare into nowhere and teeth tightly clenched, my mom took one look at him and dashed off to the balcony crying for help almost hysterically and in a matter of seconds that cold August morning in 1991, our home was taken over by neighbors whom we'd barely known a few months as they pressed, massaged, burnt and robbed different concoctions on him till he regained a measure of consciousness. We - my siblings and I walked in tears all the way to the old Warri airport to call my dad who was away at work in PH. He stayed about a month in the hospital and when he came through, he had the IQ of a five year old, couldn't speak or understand English and worse of all, knew none of us! Thankfully he pulled through but lost an entire academic year.

Second and most traumatic was losing my Dear Mum to Cancer after she endured painful processes of biopsy, radiotherapy and 5weeks into a 6week extremely painful chemotherapy session, I'd never felt as helpless as I felt watching her go through what She went through and even as I tried to be her strength all through the processes hoping she wld pull through ,the heavens shut its ears at me. How I kept my mind after she passed on, I'm not sure and yes that had to be a day forever etched in infamy.

Sleeping overnight in a room infested with 7billion mosquitoes & without a mosquito repellent or a blanket (aso ibora) to cover my body. That night was longer than any season film. I woke up in the morning with blood stains 4rm mosquito bites in diff part of my body.
4 days later, I had malaria & all my mind was telling me was that it was caused by the hungry mosquitoes that feasted on me.
That's my most traumatic experience. FMJ!

Mine was when I was in ss2 and my neigbour(also in a neighbouring sch), told her parents she was carrying my baby!!! Thank God the baby was a split resemblance of the father, this made her to confess the obvious that she'll prefer me to be the father of her kids cis I am brilliant!! KIDS sha,na so person dey become father ni?I cried for 6months saying I'd never kissed her in my life talkless of handle or sex. She's presently late( she entered a "one chance" bus and was dropped in motion) and I'd since forgiven her but for anything; she was awesomely pretty. RIP Titi.
