opening chart dis morning, was shocked most of the pairs have already moved much more than dere average daily range, not even a decent retrace to allow me enter. I might have to wait till later in the day or tommorow. Experience guys, what do u think?

PS:I am a noob, planning to go live in march, i will need guidannce from the gurus in the house

Washington (CNN) -- The House of Representatives voted Tuesday night to approve a Senate bill to avert a feared fiscal cliff.

The measure that sought to maintain tax cuts for most Americans but increase rates on the wealthy passed the Democratic-led Senate overwhelmingly early in the day.

There was discussion about amending the Senate bill by adding spending cuts, but in the end, House lawmakers voted on the bill as written -- a so-called up or down vote.


The legislation would raise roughly $600 billion in new revenues over 10 years, according to various estimates.

"I'd say let's take the Senate deal, fight another day," Rep. Tom Cole, R-Oklahoma, told CNN before the House vote. He predicted the House would pass the bill with a "pretty strong bipartisan majority."

"I'm a very reluctant yes," said Rep. Nan Hayworth, an outgoing Republican representative from New York.

"This is the best we can do given the Senate and the White House sentiment at this point in time, and it is at least a partial victory for the American people," she said. "I'll take that at this point."

The timing of the vote was crucial, as a new Congress is set to be sworn in Thursday.

The legislation averted much of the fiscal cliff's negative near-term economic impact by extending the Bush-era tax cuts for the majority of Americans. It also extends long-term unemployment benefits that were set to expire.

Had the House not acted, and the tax cuts enacted last decade expired fully, broad tax increases would have kicked in, as would $110 billion in automatic cuts to domestic and military spending.

If it's a moving average, then it should be;
sma = simple/smoothed moving average
ema = exponential moving average (the most popular)
wma = weighted moving average

Sell GBPAUD. now at 1.5495
SL at 1.5595
TP: Now, this is where you decide for yourself. Ideally, leave your TP vacant and trail by 50pips. For those that don't understand, once you have 50pips profit, move SL to your entry price. When 100pips up, move your SL to cover +50 etc.
NB:
In case you are wondering why the SL is this high, the trade is based on the 4hour charts. This also means that you must be patient with the trade. Don't follow me if you can't trade on the 4hr timeframe and if you are not able to spread your risk to accommodate a 100pip SL.
Of course, FOLLOW AT YOUR OWN RISK.

NB: For newbies who would like to learn some easy indicators this year, on ur MT4, click as follows. Indicator > Volume > On balance Volume. Then read up some materials online with google on "On Balance Volume indicator" (OBV) and how to use it with trendlines. Its very easy.

Mr. Market parties all night and into late morning but now he seems pretty tired.
EUR/USD and AUD/USD are taking the brunt of the profit-taking late in the New York morning.
Makes sense, as this fiscal cliff deal is a lot less than meets the eye. All taxes and no spending cuts (plus new spending!) ain’t a recipe for fiscal rectitude…
Stops below 1.3230 are being tripped as we write. 1.3140/50 is key support if the selling intensifies---Coleman

Pivot point strategy, note that the price opened far above the PP and accordingly it must obey the rule by returning to the PP before deciding it destination. unclenna made a lecture about this sometime ago in a previous season. Further 4HR confirm the bearish trend with a bearish pin-bar.

Inability of eu to convincingly break my marked resistance at 1.3292/94 made me go for d sell n my support is around 1.314x and then i am looking at uj if it crack 87.30 n i will target 88.2x but if otherwise, 85.xx is next destination

What I really admire about your strategy is your very tight SL. That way average profit is bound to surpass average loss.

Hope the newbies are learning something here.

If gu close the way it is now today, it is a perfect example of a false break out, if u have a gu daily chart plz check, Key resistance at 1.630x gave way to 1.6383/4 n only for it to be rejected sharply
