I don't need to scream it... haha CNN and BBC are already doing just that... It's only a matter of time, slowly but surely
CNN in America and BBC in England? Where were the English and Americans during the war that the Igbos started? They didn't care then and they don't care now. Five years from now Igbos will be in the same place. Nothing will change! |

aribisala0: "Blue Chip" is something they say in America. I have quite a bit of family over there. I agree with what you said about him wanting to be taken seriously. He's a silly fool at best. |

Worry not your little head brother, times have changed. When Britain handed HongKong to China in 2007 (if I'm correct), for how long did they did it take? Before South Sudan seceded from Sudan, was it easy? Even Ireland that wants to split from England, is it any easy decision? Something that's good doesn't come easy you know, even if it takes 50years, Like I said, slowly but surely... |

MegaMan2020: Bro, Ive barely lived in Nigeria myself but I know for a fact thats not how the market works. Onlytruth is just a freaking clown that tries to act more intelligent than he actually is. Let me give you a quick clue: notice that no matter the topic be it Military, Finance, Medical, Educational etc he always tries to feign like hes an expert--- the typical empty barrel. Hes a waste of time trying to discuss anything civilly with thats why you just have to treat him like the billy-goat he is and kick him around with insults. All he sees when discussing is "Biafra, Igbo, Ojukwu" etc thats why you can never get anything reasonable out of him. His opinions (which he tries to pass off as fact) are usually shrouded in the myopic reasoning of tribalism and bigotry. And, yes, youre right, hes obviously just another Igbo living in America trying to mouth off about things he knows nothing about. |

MegaMan2020:My understanding without looking it up is that bluechip would mean the top companies by Market capitalization and this is a casino metaphor. |

aribisala0: My understanding without looking it up is that bluechip would mean the top companies my Market capitalization and this is a casino metaphor. No offense, but blue chip companies are not based upon market capitalization. They are based upon the well established, less volatile stable companies. It doesn't necessarily have to be huge market capitalization. The word "Blue Chip" like I was explained to was coined from the poker game because blue chips have a higher value. |

The problem here is a guy who knows little and asserts much.It is difficult to know where to start because there does not appear to be any reasonable prospect of intellectual commerce |
Re: Igbo President Will Refine And Rebrand Nigeria by aribisala0(m): 4:12am On Jan 06, 2013 |
manny4life:OK I take your stability point and without meaning to argue is it not the case that the bigest companies are also less volatile?? |
Re: Igbo President Will Refine And Rebrand Nigeria by manny4life(m): 4:20am On Jan 06, 2013 |
aribisala0: OK I take your stability point and without meaning to argue is it not the case that the bigest companies are also less volatile?? Well, it depends on how you look at it. For instance, Large Investment banks, in their nature are more volatile, unstable, and exposed to risk than midsize/larger commercial banks based. The commercial banks are more so leaning towards blue chip status, but not really because blue chip status has to do with stability - income and growth. On a broader look , if you're familiar with 401(k, 403(b), IRA retirement accounts, there are traded into funds. These funds invest into any particular group. For instance, they have the aggressive growth, Fixed Income, Growth and Income, Money Markets, and one other type. Technically, Money Markets companies(being large corps) are HIGH RISK AND HIGH REWARD as as such not blue chips, but nonetheless, GROWTH AND INCOME, though large corps as well, may decide the fixed income strategy and just cap income at a certain point. |

ok .Nice one |
Re: Igbo President Will Refine And Rebrand Nigeria by manny4life(m): 4:25am On Jan 06, 2013 |
Though I may be off, but this is how I was explained to. A blue chip company must achieve all three 1. Stable growth and Income aka financially sound literally 2. Little or no risk exposure to investors 3. I forgot... |

Leaving the market and returning to Igbo Presidency. IS this project possible without Igbo-Yoruba rapprochement. ?? |
Re: Igbo President Will Refine And Rebrand Nigeria by aribisala0(m): 4:33am On Jan 06, 2013 |
Whilst I would agree that this should happen.Nigeria has missed too many opportunities in the past and now we cannot just have an Igbo President for the sake of it. We need someone who can govern for others in the mold of OBJ. What I mean By OBJ is to be nationalistic in outlook. I may be wrong but I do not believe Yorubas benefitted as much as even Igbos or others from his government The Igbos carry a burden of perceived as being Parochial in their outlook and have to address this concern to regain trust to win elections .How do we square that circle. At this point in time who are the top 2 or 3 contenders for an Igbo presidency? Yorubas really do not have a problem with an Igbo Presidency but this Achebe incident does not help and Igbos better recognize that. I Believe the NOrth have a problem with guilt and feel that Igbos would try and avenge 66. My view on the pogrom of 66 is there is a need for reconciliation Though I Don't know how. The Yoruba view is it was not us that killed them and so we are not involved. Many Hausas would say it was not me who did it and you canot visit the sins of the son on the father. Those are the psychological hurdles which we are in denial of and must scale somehow. |

manny4life: Big english. Another empty barrel. Like if Google doesnt exist no more to assist in your pseudo-intellectualism. Anyway, "According to the New York Stock Exchange, a blue chip is stock in a corporation with a national reputation for quality, reliability, and the ability to operate profitably in good times and bad." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_chip_(stock_market) You clowns are just such big jokes its unbelievable. |

kingoflag: Haha, oh my goodness, he ran to wiki for explanation. What do you call a company that's financially "reliable" if not through financial exposure assessment? How do you assess a company's profitability if not through income? How do you determine a company's stability if not through good (growth), and bad times(recession) and profitability in good time or bad times also known as stability. You are so pathetic, TRY AGAIN. |

Oga lecturer, what is the prize I will win for answering these questions of urs? Are you known in your field? Yes? No? Dont you feel like a dunce now? You remind me of those white kids that stay posting rap lyrics on youtube thinking it somehow makes them 50 Cent. smh Dude, we're talking about Igbo presidency try not to slide off track and get crushed by a train; try to stand behind the yellow line. Just a few questions: DO YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND? AND IF YOU DO, HOW DOES SHE COPE WITH YOU BEING ONLINE 24/7 AND YOUR KNOW-IT-ALL-ATTITUDE? |

When I chipped in to Mr Aribisala comment, I clearly stated, it was no offense to him, but blue chip are not necessarily identified based upon their mkt cap. You throw the first punch and then you cry foul, lol I agree o, I'm clueless, I know it all, I'm empty barrel, you're indeed smarter than me, have I contested any? NO I just need simple answers that's it. |
