bjdon: Greedy Northern politicians created 'Boko Haram' to make Nigeria too hot for GEJ. However GEJ's security guys have implemented a cunning counter terror strategy by actually creating their own 'Boko Haram' and carrying out havoc across the North. The consequence of this is that the Northern economy has collapsed. Now that they can see the error of their ways, they are crying for Amnesty. Of course no 'Boko Haram leaders' will every show up the way Tompolo and Ateke Tom came to Abuja, because the Boko Haram leaders are Atiku, Ciroma and the rest of the Northern Mafia. GEJ should continue to pound them in the name of 'Boko Haram'. Show them no mercy.

Conspiracy Theory 101.

I disagree, comparing d Niger delta militant to Boko Haram is jt silly. The militant were fight for the good of its people, their land, waters are being polluted by dis oil companies, its jt common sense to give dem amnesty. But boko haram are fighting for there own selfish reasons, 2day dey demand Nigeria to be an islamic state, then dey want jonna to resign, again the don't want christens in dere states nw its about foreigners. GEJ is 100% correct hw do u give amnesty to people who donno what they want or who dey are, its jt orange and apples.
I will keep saying dis, for Nigerians not to allow the north rule is not tribalism, its jt common sense, until they come down dere high horses. If GEJ give amnesty to bunch of clueless, illiterates dat really don't understand what dey fighting for dat defeats the change he (GEJ) is trying to show Nigeria.

Akin-David:
All arguments are incosistent and parallel to normal reasoning level. How do we know they wanted the amnesty when they remained faceless and a ghost like GEJ referred.

I disagree wit u and GEJ dat Boko Haram are faceless or can't grant Amnesty to a Ghost. Remember President Goodluck to Nigerians in his media chat and also at an interview wit CNN dat he knows who d Boko Haram sects are. He said they are in his cabinet, they are in the Police, Army, Navy Etc.
Now if the president could say dis recently, how can he come up again to say dat Boko Haram are faceless or a Ghost. I think Nigerians should hold GEJ responsible 4 d insecurity since he does not want to tell us d identities of d Boko Haram he told us dat he knows.
On the Amnesty, I think d Federal Govt should first declare d Amnesty for d sect members and assure dem of there security, whereby they refuse to accept, d FG can now use the Force to flush dem.

This Junaid of a man isn't ok mentally. It is one thing to feel cheated and another to be cheated. In any case there is no cheating in the case of BH, they are the ones blackmailing the FG.

Comparing Boko Haram to 'The Niger Delta Millitant' is an insult to the later

He said members of the sect took up arms, just like the Niger Delta militants, when they felt cheated by the government. He said the government was however being partial by denying the militants amnesty.

The statement above shows how dumb/retarded some people are, so Boko Haram took up arms because of injusice by the FG (Not allowing them turn Nigeria into a sharia Country)

When asked if the sect deserved amnesty considering the injustice it would be on the part of victims, he stated, “When I was young, I once read a saying that ‘If you killed one man, you would be charged for murder; if you killed 10 people, you would be taken to hospital to test for insanity; but if you killed 1,000 people, you would be invited for peace talks in Geneva.’

i'm still waiting for the answer to the above question

Fighting boko haram is now a money-making venture. One trillion naira!!! The double standard is criminal - you shake hands with niger delta terrorists who declared war on the country and now playing the hypocrite. But the shenanigan will end shortly- let's await his campaign trip to Borno and Yobe in 2014 - he will eat his word. Squandering one trillion. Just like that. A third of that money spent prudently in NE will end the poverty and deprivation. The elders hav spoken, let Gej listen to wise counsel.

Ok now. Today is your turn to rule and everything(most of you) are talking any how, i hope that when the power eventually goes to another zone you will be able to cope with what others shall say about you. This problem is happening in the North and the North is suggesting a way out and all you can say is NO.

There is no justification for the government to grant this group amnesty the wanton destruction of especially innocent lives and properties can not and will not be swept under the carpet.Their reason for indulging in this act is unfounded and baseless. These guys should just totally unmask and end their circle of violence.Let them tell us the blunt truth what are they fighting for we know what the group in the south south are figting for and we never had cases of innocent civilians both foreigners and nigerians.Let us annex these guys so that we can have peace for us to progress with development.

Mr. Musa, ur elders have spoken without integrity. Other people's elders have advised that we kill off these Boko Haram killers and their sympathisers. Do a logical consideration and realise that they have no reasonable demands. Threats wont work, reason will.

This whole thing is beginning to add up. How come none of these northern traditional and religious leaders have openly condemned the killing of innocent Christians in mass?? Including the ex soldier in the person of the sultan of Sokoto. MEND fought a very justifiable course, and their targets where foreign expatriates whom where staff of the oil companies that desecrated their land with impunity and without compensation. Boko Haram on the flip side, is fighting against western education and killing random innocent Christians in mass. May the world end if Jonathan grant these blood thirsty demons amnesty.

all the allocation they receive yearly why havnt they use the fund to better the life of your people or is the one trillion that is not allocated for security in the state that will now change the life of your people. Nonsense all the things happen cause your northern leaders are selfish only trying to fill there personal pocket. Cause i see no reason that an educated northern youth will carry arms saying he wants to islamize nigeria. Bk lacks education and that was cause by northern leaders who subject there people to poverty.

Boko haram is an in-house pdp thing. The pdp bigwigs should settle their differences. They've shed enough blood already.

But I'm all against amnesty! Those ragheads have to atone for their atrocities. The families of the victims can never get closure through granting the terorists amnesty.
